You can now apply to be the Chief Magistrate! The Chief Magistrate is the leader of the judicial branch of Venice and runs all trials. If you want to know more about the Chief Magistrate and the election process check out this law here-
Election Procedures
(EP1) The Chief Magistrate will be elected every 60 days by the consiglio.
(EP2) Any citizens that want to be the Chief magistrate may send applications to the Grand Chancellor. The Grand Chancellor will choose the best applicant.
(EP3) The Grand Chancellor will then allow the rest of the senators to ask questions and then they will vote on the Chief magistrate.
(EP4) The Chief Magistrate is elected with a simple majority vote.
(EP5) The Chief Magistrate can not hold any other position in the government.
(EP6) The Chief Magistrate has no term limit and can be re-nominated. As long they are still approved by the Consiglio.
