Today is the 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡

Being with the Apostles in prayer in the Upper Room; and being the Mother of Jesus Christ, Head of the Church; Mary is venerated as Mother of the Church as she is rightfully, by grace, the Mother of the Vine and Its branches, the precursor of our Christian Faith. This title was solemnly confirmed by Pope Saint Paul VI on November 21, 1964 during the Vatican II.

Let us begin today's Daily

In the name of the Father, ✠
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit,
𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻.

God our loving Father,
grant us the grace
to hear what we ought to hear,
to see what we ought to see,
that we might do what we ought to do,
in Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from the Book of 𝕯𝖊𝖚𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖔𝖓𝖔𝖒𝐲 6:1-9
New International Version - UK (NIVUK)

𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱
These are the commands, decrees and laws the Lᴏʀᴅ your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lᴏʀᴅ your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life. Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lᴏʀᴅ, the God of your ancestors, promised you.

Hear, O Israel: the Lᴏʀᴅ our God, the Lᴏʀᴅ is one. Love the Lᴏʀᴅ your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door-frames of your houses and on your gates.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: the Lᴏʀᴅ our God, the Lᴏʀᴅ is one.

Now I have discoursed yesterday, the filioque. Now to address the non-trinitarian belief. How could God be one, if he is three persons? Equally undivided, truly one in substance, but why three persons? Likewise we established that the Father is separate from the Son, and the Holy Spirit, how can we imagine one being?

Many famous saints that we revere today have spoken about this. The famous three-leaved clover by Saint Patrick he used to describe the trinity. Where the trinity is described as having three leaves but one plant. More so do we find our Pope Francis describing the trinity with a fidget spinner, where it has three of those things, but when spun they are one. Still by faith we are called not to question mysteries, but to admire. But by human iniquity, we find it hard to understand in our own little way.

I think about how Jesus is the ikon of the Trinity. His very being, evokes the trinity. He is by himself the Son, where the Father is His Father, and born by the Holy Spirit. Yet we do not see three Jesus-es but one Jesus. So maybe we could think of it like that. And Mary, the most special of all humans having been closest to the trinity, being the mother of the Son, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, and the handmaid of the Father. But Mary is still not three, but one. So maybe instead of a concrete description of Three in One, like coffee, I read that Saint Thomas and other Church Fathers and Doctors state that the Unity of Trinity (aside from exceeding man's understanding) is their relation to one another.

Tim Mackie shares this idea, that God isn't a one being, but their unity of Love/Charity is God. I am not a perfect theologian or philosopher. I'm sure the Saints have it better than me, but as we remember today, Mary through the Trinity and the Trinity through Mary, and the Love that exists everywhere, and the joys of hevae above, maybe we don't need explanations instead faith like that in the Annunciation.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: The trinity is a continuing mystery, but by Faith we love, adore, believe, and glorify. Let us look at each and everyone, maybe like the persons of the trinity, treat each other with kindness and charity, and unite ourselves with them with God. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

Alleluia, Mary is the Mother of our Lord, and Mother of the Church Alleluia.
—𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘪𝘢, 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘪𝘢.
For she has followed the Lord, and set our ways to Christian perfection Alleluia.
—𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘪𝘢, 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘪𝘢.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
—𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘪𝘢, 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘪𝘢.

Come Holy Spirit,
forgive us on our obstinacy,
unite our destroyed relations with one another,
and infuse in us Your gifts of virtue,
especially that of Love.
Live in us, as to not be separated from the Father and the Son.

In the name of the Father, ✠
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit,

℟. Thanks be to God! Alleluia! Hallelujah!

OHH NYOO!
I forgot to post today.
Here is Today's Daily

Joel foretells the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28-29)
Daily Readings, Ho̔milíes, and Prayers - 06072022 - Theme: Creed — who has spoken through the prophets.

Peace and All Good!

Today is Ordinary Time (II) again. Actually, yesterday was the start of Ordinary Time II, but today there isn't that much solemnities, feasts, memorials, optional memorials, so we're back to green. Every thirdday or Tuesday, in a special way, we show our devotion to the Holy Angels, especially, our very own Guardian Angel.

Let us begin today's Daily

In the name of the Father, ✠
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit,
𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻.

God our loving Father,
grant us the grace
to hear what we ought to hear,
to see what we ought to see,
that we might do what we ought to do,
in Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from the Book of the Prophet 𝕸𝖆𝖑𝖆𝖈𝖍𝖎 1:1-5
New International Version - UK (NIVUK)

A prophecy: the word of the Lord to Israel through Malachi.

𝐈𝐬𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐭𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞
‘I have loved you,’ says the Lord.

‘But you ask, “How have you loved us?”

‘Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?’ declares the Lord. ‘Yet I have loved Jacob, but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his hill country into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals.’

Edom may say, ‘Though we have been crushed, we will rebuild the ruins.’

But this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘They may build, but I will demolish. They will be called the Wicked Land, a people always under the wrath of the Lord. You will see it with your own eyes and say, “Great is the Lord – even beyond the borders of Israel!”

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: They may build, but I will demolish.

We went all round today, so that I could go to confession. My father drove me around three churches, not one of them have a priest available. One, I was late and the confessor was not available. Two, the confessors are scheduled 𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘮. Three, the confessor was in a province, and the next confession will be at 7pm. At the third parish office that I inquired, Saint Thérèse of Lisieux was standing, encased in glass. So I prayed, and thought, maybe it is not the will of the Father yet. I mean I was disheartened, but if it is not the will, it is not the will.

So I guess the readings teaches us, what the will of God is towards Edom. I think of it as a way that what was deemed evil by the Lord is evil. We cannot go on making evil good, because it is by definition evil. And vice versa. But how do we know what God judges, what God wills, or what God admonishes?

I guess one is through superiors. This is according to the evangelical counsels. For things we cannot control, everyone would give advice or admonish faults, by humility we are subject to them and we must follow them as if it was God's will. So we must be humble, obey, and love. I believe that we are slaves to Christ, and Christ is everywhere and everyone, if we see correctly and lovingly.

Another one is through inner feelings. I remember reading about discernment, and Saint Ignatius of Loyola emphasized one's heart or emotion towards something. The spirit lives in us, and we are given the gift to know. By a mystical sensation, we understand what is good or evil.

Third that I find powerful is through prayer and mystical visions and signs. Prayer is the most powerful object, as it is the communication between God and Man. We receive Christ through communion, but we enrich the fullness of our relationship through communicating one's heart, desires, experiences of the day.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: I believe that we are troubled, and God who is powerful will shed light to us.

I pray, o Lord that You would
shed light to our troubled minds,
and bring warmth to those in the cold.
Deliver us from every temptation,
and make us feel Your peace.
We know nothing and we can be ignorant sometimes.
You who: know, knew, and will know, everything
I ask that You guide us with the spirit of Wisdom, Counsel, and Knowledge,
that it may perfect our virtues, especially that of Prudence.

Angel of God, My guardian Dear,
To whom God's love entrusts me here,
Ever this "day" (or "night" if you say it at bedtime),
Be at my Side,
To light and guard,
To rule and guide.
From sinful stain o keep me free
and at death's hour my helper be.
Amen.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

In the name of the Father, ✠
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit,
𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻.

Daily Readings, Ho̔milíes, and Prayers - 06072022 - Theme: Creed — I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.

Today is 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟏𝟎 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 (𝐈𝐈)
Ordinary time uses the colour of green, the colour of freshness and growth, the colour of plant life. Ordinary time we come back to the teachings of Jesus on what being ordinary Christian means. The sermons on the mount and plains are normally the readings, as well as the parables. This is a time when we are neither waiting in joyful anticipation (advent), single-mindedly penitent (as lent), overwhelmingly joyful (Pascha or Christmas).

Let us begin today's Daily

In the name of the Father, ✠

God our loving Father,

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from the Book of the Apostles' 𝐀𝖈𝖙𝖘 17:19-23
New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition (NRSVUE)

So they took him and brought him to the Areopagus and asked him, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting? It sounds rather strange to us, so we would like to know what it means.” Now all the Athenians and the foreigners living there would spend their time in nothing but telling or hearing something new.

Then Paul stood in front of the Areopagus and said, “Athenians, I see how extremely spiritual you are in every way. For as I went through the city and looked carefully at the objects of your worship, I found among them an altar with the inscription, ‘To an unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: this I proclaim to you

Evangelisms and Proselytism are similar terms that means calling a non-member to become a member. Though they are parallel to each other, one is not congruent to the other. This is because, Evangelism or Evangelization is more than attempting or forcing to switch beliefs, it is about being a witness to the Gospel. We are called to Evangelize and not to Proselytize, and people mix these terms up sometimes.

I watched a video of Venerable Bishop Fulton J. Sheen. He relates perfect truth as a circle. He says, and I quote him verbatim, "now we are to think that every religion under the sun having something good." I really love this explanation because Ven. Sheen does not deny that, even a newly created religion in L.A. this afternoon has no good; even Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism have good in them. In our religion, Christianity, whether we adhere to the Nicene creed, or the Book of Concord or the Orthodox Faith, we are one under the sun, under the God who created us.

We are, no matter of what denomination, are called to be One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic, Church. One, united in our God and the life of Peace and Charity/Love. Holy, as our God is Holy so we strive Holiness and Saintly lives. Catholic, all embracing, universal, just as our Impartial God. Apostolic, witnesses of the faith, baptizing and forgiving the sins of every one in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Now today's reading tells a story of Paul, but Paul does not deny the good in the Greek myths. Paul admired them for their piety, though it is strange to him. And what is brilliant in this is that, the spirit readied the hearts of those who hear, and everyone who heard was struck though still confused, but with an open mind. So Paul sowed the hearts that were ripened, and went to proclaim the love of God. If you would continue reading, Paul would go on to say, ‘For we, too, are his offspring.’

Let us go, therefore, to those who do not know God, because God knows them. Their hearts are ready and do not be disheartened by their stubbornness, God will work out their hearts, God will do everything according to His will of love and mercy.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: To live in the spirit, Paul also tells us to be united. The schism and the reformation gives a big blow to the Spirit of God. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

Lord, holy Father, faithful to your promise
you sent your Spirit to bring together a people divided by sin.
Give us the grace to foster unity
and peace among men.

𝗧𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗢 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵, we have recourse to You too. For having the honour of being joined to the hearts of Mary and Jesus, we know that Your intercession is powerful too. Hear our prayers and protect us with Saint Michael the Archangel. For You are regarded as the Protector of the Church as once You have protected Jesus from mortal danger of Herod. Intercede for us, and by sacred trust, faith, and hope in You, we know that our prayers are heard with the Blessed Mother Your spouse. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

In the name of the Father, ✠
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit,
𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻.

Hebrews 7:3 says of Melchizedek, “Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God he remains a priest forever.” The Bible never records his ancestry, birth, or death. From a literary standpoint, he has an eternal priesthood. 𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘻𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘥𝘴𝘰𝘯.𝘰𝘳𝘨

𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: yet without sin

It is a famous phrase that, "He who knew no sin, was made sin for us." The message of the ministry of Christ is simple, live according to love and the way set out by Him. The third to the last line of the creed is, "I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins." This forgiveness of sins was first instituted by Jesus Christ on Jordan, and made complete by renewing creation in His resurrection, to show that we who are baptized are born again with the Holy Spirit in Christ and the Father, and not of the world.

This we need to truly understand because, this is our path to salvation: that the world will give us trials, tribulations, and persecutions, sacrifices, but we will triumph with Christ. And also, no matter what we are, Christ has called everyone to triumph. It is written in scripture that he who believes in Christ has already overcome the world. This is because Christ has triumphed over sin and death, as the world is.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: God called Paul, a persecutor of Christians, to go and be at peace and love Him. Paul tells us the same, how much more could God love You? Today we pray in a special way for the clergy and those serving the Church. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

God, in spite of me, You called me to be Your servant. Have mercy on me a sinner, and by Your grace, I wish to amend my life. Guide those in ecclesiastical office, especially those that are having hard times or being inflicted with worldly pains. Make us feel the joyful songs of Your angels and saints, knowing what is in store for us in heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ,
when You said, "This is my Body." I believe it is Your true, real, whole, and substantial Body.
When you said, "This is my Blood." I believe it is Your true, real, whole, and substantial Blood.
Bless us as we partake of Your body,
forgive us and deprive us not of Your presence.
Guide us to live in the spirit.
Amen.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from the Book of 𝐖𝖎𝖘𝖉𝖔𝖒 15:1-6
Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

CHAPITER 15

But thou, our God, art gracious and true,
patient, and ordering all things in mercy.
For if we sin, we are thine, knowing thy greatness:
and if we sin not, we know that we are counted with thee.
For to know thee is perfect justice:
and to know thy justice, and thy power, is the root of immortality.
For the invention of mischievous men hath not deceived us,
nor the shadow of a picture, a fruitless labour, a graven figure with divers colours,
The sight whereof enticeth the fool to lust after it,
and he loveth the lifeless figure of a dead image.
The lovers of evil things deserve to have no better things to trust in,
both they that make them, and they that love them, and they that worship them.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: For if we sin, we are thine, knowing thy greatness

Trust in God, is not something that we should make light of. For we trust in God, and put in Him everything that we hold, but it is also our duty to act accordingly. If we don't act accordingly, we must remember this, God will always love us, and those who love us will always love us, but the effect of sin is great and destructive.

So in sin, there will always be bad effects, death, hatred amongst ourselves, discord, despair and guilt, etc. Let us remember that we inflicted all of these on ourselves, as a way being prodigal children of God. Why would God allow this? He wouldn't, unless it is our choice to follow sinful or vain ways. Just like how in Eden, Adam and Eve were sentenced to death by original sin, so also when we sin we carry the burden and tribulations. Even if God loves us, the effects of sin will be there because that is what happens. We let the devil take hold of us, and lose our hearts in the process.

We know—as established—what sins are, what these sins in particular are. But still there are some ignorant people, so we must teach them and admonish their sins privately (as to not shame them). So as not to sin, saint Paul teaches us that the Law of Christ is simple. It is only to Love, as love fulfills the law. We only need to love, complete and perfect Charity.

Today's reading tells us about knowledge of God's greatness, and how we are still His. With Love of God and Neighbour, let us also Trust God in all things. As man and woman entrust themselves to each other, so does the Church entrust herself to her Bridegroom God. The reading is clear, even if we sin, hope and trust in God, faith in Jesus Christ whom had redeemed the world and broke death, redeems us. By this Faith, we are called to live a new life of no more sin. Faith without repentance, reconciliation, and most of all ACTION (in form of Charity) is blind and directionless. So these three established Theological Virtues: Faith, Hope, and Love. What is the greatest and encompasses these, is Charity.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: By Faith in Jesus Christ we are established forever, a new person in Christ's resurrection. By Hope we are filled with joy knowing the bones that were crushed has been revived. By Charity Love we are called to live Love and Love living, Love God through Giving, Love Giving for God. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

Peace and All Good!

I would first like to say, we're finally reaching the end of the Nicene Creed. I would like to thank you for keeping up with the series. And we're returning to the ordinary time next week.

Today is the 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬, 𝐀𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞

Saint Barnabas is a Levite and Cypriot, appearing in the Acts of the Apostles with Saint Paul. He is known to have held a self-handwritten copy of the Gospel of Matthew in his remains when he was excavated, during the reign of Emperor Zeno of Constantinople. He is also known as a cousin to John Mark, also known as Mark the Evangelist.

Let us begin today's Daily

In the name of the Father, ✠
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit,
𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻.

God our loving Father,
grant us the grace
to hear what we ought to hear,
to see what we ought to see,
that we might do what we ought to do,
in Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from the 𝐀𝖙𝖍𝖆𝖓𝖆𝖘𝖎𝖆𝖓 𝕮𝖗𝖊𝖊𝖉

39. He ascended into heaven, He sits on the right hand of the Father, God, Almighty;

40. From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

41. At whose coming all men shall rise again with their bodies;

42. and shall give account of their own works.

43. And they that have done good shall go into life everlasting and they that have done evil into everlasting fire.

44. This is the catholic faith, which except a man believe faithfully he cannot be saved.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: he cannot be saved.

There are always controversies regarding this Athanasian Creed. First is its being made by Saint Athanasius, which some historians or say it isn't or otherwise. Complicated things that I can't understand. Anyway. We know the He that is being talked about this passage is Jesus, because it is similar to the Nicene Creed.

The last article of the Nicene creed tells us, rather we affirm the belief of «life of the world to come». What is this life? We don't know the details of it except in the Book of Revelation. A life filled with joy, and no more sorrow. A life of peace and love. The Athanasian Creed is more of an imperative rather than an affirmation, and I want to emphasize that today because Jesus talked about this.

Jesus said that we shouldn't be afraid of the one who kills the flesh, rather who kills the soul. Who else would torment the soul except the devil, whose main goal is to deviate all souls from God. What have we done in life that makes us worthy of heaven? What statement of account will we show to Jesus when we are being judged?

On this last part of the creed, I want to call everyone to be saints. Sainthood is not a one person special thing, nor do we have to be do a lot to attain it. We just have to do good. Be saints, but let no one know that you're trying to be a saint. Be a saint, do good, and above all let us love. The scripture holds nothing against love, for even God is love, and God is the ultimate good, so loving too is the ultimate good that we must do to attain heaven.

I honestly am very troubled with eschatology, especially the souls that go to hell. So be saints, and let us rejoice with God. Confess our sins, do penance everyday. What intrigued me with the Order of Minims is perpetual lent, of course I can't follow their rule of life strictly, because I have jobs that require meat and energy. But little way, Saint Thérèse calls us to do the little way, the humble yet loving, in our own little way of love.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Let us hold on to that faith, as the apostles, especially Saint Barnabas that we commemorate today, had. Today is a Saturday. We also remember the loving, patient, and strong zeal of Mama Mary as she awaits the resurrection. So let us ask her, the mother Christ entrusts us to, and the mother that loved and cared for Christ until His death. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆, Mother of God, and our Mother. You are our example. Pray for us, who have strayed from the path. In you we see refuge and hope, being a woman of creation goodness. We put our trust in you, that our prayers may be heard by the Father through the Son [who with the Father and the Son is] in union with the Holy Spirit, living as one God forever.

In the name of the Father, ✠
and of the Son,

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝗯𝗼
On that same day the Lord told Moses, ‘Go up into the Abarim Range to Mount Nebo in Moab, opposite Jericho, and view Canaan, the land I am giving the Israelites as their own possession. There on the mountain that you have climbed you will die and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people. This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites. Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.’

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites.

When I opened the bible, I saw this after skimming around the pages of Pentateuch. I thought about writing about what sickness I see in the Church, but then had a better idea when I included one part of the Martyrology for no reason. So I guess I could merge the two, and my message now is, this. Moses died before setting foot on Canaan. Moses, although favoured by God and to whom He revealed His Face, by one fault was unable to be worthy of the promises. Ain't that scary, if we think about ourselves. But in the justice of God, all praise due to wisdom, because we're the one who sins.

The sickness of the Church, that I find, is us we: you and me. That is in a way like Moses, failed to radiate and magnify God. One of the points I wanted to make was, the reason people are failing to go to church—worship and pray—is because the very Church people are not living to the dignity of the name of Christ in our being CHRISTians. I forgot if it was saint James who wrote in his letters that religion is dead without action. There are better atheists or non-CHRISTians compared to Christians. And this is the sickness that isn't seen on anyone, but ourselves. We should look at ourselves more than others, but without despair.

Moses died, and it is the fate of us all, as an effect of that disobedience of Adam and Eve. So did Christ, in His great Godhood took by humility the lowly manhood, and died. We could think that death is a way to heaven. That its gates are the bodily mortal death. I remember reading somewhere that as we have a mortal body on earth, so in death do we take an immortal body like Christ. So we must hold on to these when we are tried. But also, before dying and meeting Christ, even if we have faults, let us live Christ in us, guided by the Spirit. Practice temperance, love, pray and remain far away from sin, and most of all use our minds and conscience, by applying how Jesus is and what He teaches, we may uphold the holiness of God.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: I remember if it was Saint Augustine that said, (non-verbatim) "singing is praying twice". Here is a beautiful Anglican hymn, Abide with Me. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲
Now the Philistines fought against Israel; the Israelites fled before them, and many fell dead on Mount Gilboa. The Philistines were in hot pursuit of Saul and his sons, and they killed his sons Jonathan, Abinadab and Malki-Shua. The fighting grew fierce around Saul, and when the archers overtook him, they wounded him.

Saul said to his armour-bearer, ‘Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and abuse me.’

But his armour-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it. When the armour-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died. So Saul and his three sons died, and all his house died together.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: and all his house died together.

Lately I've been going to online mass at the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham in Torquay. I'm not an English resident, but I was curious about the Anglican Liturgy. It was beautiful, and above. My newfound friend—well versed in liturgy—told me that it is called “sense of the sacred„. And I thought that was something that completely sums up my feelings.

Anyway, I excluded the about the saints because it'd be redundant. These two saints are a symbol of English Catholic dissidents, one who at the time of the protestant reformation, former King Henry VIII when he proclaimed the sov'reign monarch ("the crown") is head of the church of England. These two opposed that idea, being loyal to the Catholic faith. I think there are marriages involved with the king's idea of secession from Rome, but I have no idea about that yet. We have two kings today, one in Today's Readings and another on Today's Saints. These kings have one thing in common, that is to do what they willeth. Saul was greatly admonished by the prophet Samuel in his time, and so was Henry VIII.

I have nothing against Anglicans, and I think they are neat, but I also want to say something to both Anglicans and Catholics, and to all the Christians whatever denomination you may be. To love God, means giving up yourself for God. We are like a vessel, but unlike any kind of machine we have a choice of actually doing what is right and not. This is redundant of me to say it again, but I think it's something we have to continue to repeat in our minds.

Tomorrow is the Solemnity of the Birthday of Saint John the Baptist, and he the simplest man, the least but greatest in heaven and earth did say, "I must decrease and He must increase." Let us reflect upon ourselves these questions: Have we decreased? How can we decrease more to magnify the greatness of the Lord?

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Truly a waste of a good life for Saul and his family because of following His cowardness. Also a waste of good wives of King Henry VIII, because of his pride and incontinences, and most of all misogyny of only having a "male" heir. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

Saint Joseph, blessed are you Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
You humbled yourself to follow the will of God,
and became a wonderful father to our humble little brother; the lamb, the bridegroom.
Help us to be like you, a vessel in salvation with Christ.
And as perils and temptations come by us,
pray for us that we may never forget that we have an intercessor and spiritual father to the Father in heaven.
Pray for us, a divided Church, especially for the relations of the Anglican and Catholic church,
that the body of Christ be one, united in love, strengthened by the Spirit, proclaiming one faith in courage amidst trials.

Amen.

𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀,
I have recourse to you
I unite my heart to you
have mercy on me.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from 𝐏𝖘𝖆𝖑𝖒 50 (51):18-21
Grail Psalms from Universalis

For in sacrifice you take no delight,
burnt offering from me you would refuse,
my sacrifice, a contrite spirit.
A humbled, contrite heart you will not spurn.

In your goodness, show favour to Sion:
rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
Then you will be pleased with lawful sacrifice,
holocausts offered on your altar.

𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

When I was praying Lauds, I had a thought especially at these lines and phrases: "in sacrifice", "burnt offering", "rebuild the walls of Jerusalem", "lawful sacrifice", "holocausts offered on your altar." Then I had a thought, "Why doesn't Christianity do it now?" I remember the Passover Seder that Fr. Chito told us the Jews don't have a temple, that's why they don't offer sacrifices.

Then I remember Jesus Christ, as the ultimate sacrifice. I would like to take this moment to grow in wonder at the Lord, how great the spirit makes me think about sacrifices especially at the time of the Solemnity of the Precious Blood.

Now, now, the conclusion I had from that thought is that, God did show favour to Sion, to Israel, but not limited to them, but extending His love to us, the non-Jews (Gentiles). Now the walls of Jerusalem have been rebuilt, but these are not physical walls of limestones or other rocks, but a strong rock rooted on the temple of the body of Christ—in reference to Jesus saying that the temple be rebuilt again after three days from its destruction—and built upon was Cephas who is the Rock (Peter).

Now there is no other sacrifice that delights God. I think he said that in Psalm 49 (50) that all the animals are his, and he does not eat the blood of goats or rams I think. But the one true sacrifice, that delights the Father, is the Son whom died on the cross, which is present everywhere at mass. And since everywhere at the world we celebrate mass, in every "temples" near our homes, the most acceptable, loving, and highest holocaust offered to the altar of God is the eucharist.

When we look closely, especially on the eucharistic prayer, and with the grace of the spirit and help of our imagination, we will see angels singing with us in the "Holy, holy, holy" (Sanctus); Mary the Mother of Jesus, and Saint Joseph her most chaste spouse, the apostles, and all the saints interceding for us in our needs; the priest being in persona Christi in the "take this all of you" (institution); ordinary bread, becomes extraordinary flesh; ordinary wine becomes extraordinary blood; and the real presence of God, one in three, with all the heavenly Glory of Angels and its choirs, and saints whom whom once trod the earth. By simple prayers and strong faith, we see the souls of the faithfully departed, whom held on to the belief of Christ as God, is purified quickly to heaven. The priest, like old Jewish temple times, being the priest asking the Father to receive the sacrifice in his hands. The most beautiful of all, the glimpse of heaven, all the faithful on earth praying to God, responding in the responses, singing hymns of glory; a new song unto the lord.

Now with regards to the lawful sacrifice, what other sacrifice is as lawful as the greatest act of Love. The love of Jesus Christ, whom is God, humbled himself to earth, gave up the pleasures of heaven and earth, embraced the pain of sin that should've been ours. Love exceeds the law, as Saint Paul said, and this is very much exampled by Christ. And through Him, with Him, and in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, the Father is very well pleased, and we should listen to Him.

𝗢 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿
which flowed out from the heart of Jesus
as a Fountain of Mercy for us,
I trust in You!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Our sacrifice, a contrite spirit. But to those whom are called to the special office of clergy, offers the greatest sacrifice in the mass, more favourable than holocaust because done in an act of love. And through that shedding of blood, we have been forgiven, redeemed, and exulted with Christ. Though we continue to live in the world, let us live in the shedding of the precious blood, through whom we rejoice that we have shared the salvation of our souls and the whole world's. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

O God, Who by the Precious Blood of Thine Only Begotten Son hast redeemed the whole world, preserve in us the work of Thy mercy, so that, ever honouring the mystery of our salvation, we may merit to obtain its fruits. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who lives and reigns with Thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

℣. We adore You O Christ, and we bless You.
℟. Because by Your holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.

We know Saint Thomas as the doubter when Jesus was reportedly seen at the breaking of the bread. In apocryphal works, he is documented to be a missionary to Persia, but by tradition of the locals (especially that of Kerala, calling themselves Christians of Saint Thomas) and current documents, it is possible that he had been the Apostle to India.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from the Holy Gospel of 𝕸𝖆𝖗𝐤 2:5-12
New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Child, your sins are forgiven.” Now some of the scribes were sitting there asking themselves, “Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming. Who but God alone can forgive sins?” Jesus immediately knew in his mind what they were thinking to themselves, so he said, “Why are you thinking such things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, pick up your mat and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on earth”—he said to the paralytic, “I say to you, rise, pick up your mat, and go home.” He rose, picked up his mat at once, and went away in the sight of everyone. They were all astounded and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this.”

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: that you may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on earth

I have a feeling about this, when understanding this scripture. Of course it is evident by future passages of the scriptures and catechism that Jesus Christ is God and Man therefore having the power to forgive sins in this scene. But I too have a feeling that, Jesus calls us too, having the term Son of Man, to forgive sins. It may be blasphemous of me to think, and sorry for that. Of course in our religion, the Catholic faith, only priests and higher ranking clergy (if authority is not taken away) can forgive sin.

My point in my thought is that, being the Son of Man, Jesus calls us and unites us to the Father, and we too have a share in the Father through Jesus Christ. This Inherited Grace, like all graces, can be lost through sin. That I think is why only and especially consecrated persons, (Priests, Bishops etc.) can forgive sins. They have made vows to be more united to Christ day-by-day as they live their mission. By honouring our Mother Church, we must believe them and pray for the Clergy; but if they do wrong, it is God's judgement not ours. When they sin, they remove the purity of their consecrated hands, soul, and life, as we also do; but they in a special and heavier gravity, and it is in their Bishop's or Religious Superior to dispense them from the sacrament of Penance.

And here is a common knowledge to us, that we can forgive others' sins, that is the sin done to us. By unburdening ourselves with others, that we are filled with hate, despise, or even disgust, and still show love even when it doesn't seem right. Because if we are to follow the world, we would only sow hatred and reap havoc. Another is, forgiving ourselves. Sometimes we are burdened by the thought of ourselves, and we must remember that we have a loving God. This is the same as forgiving others, that we become light and have no baggage. Forgiveness is the Lord's, that is true, but let us never plant seeds of hate so we can bear fruits of love.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: After quite few more readings, I can say that the laymen cannot forgive sins. Truly it is in God's will to forgive sins, but we too can plead with him for others; especially those who hurt us, and those suffering in sickness just like the paralytic, those dead or near death. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

Father,
in the rising of your Son
death gives birth to new life.
The sufferings he endured
restored hope to a fallen world.
Let sin never ensnare us
with empty promises of passing joy.
Make us one with you always,
so that our joy may be holy,
and our love may give life.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Peace and All Good! Here is today's daily.

God,
source of all freedom,
this day is bright with the memory of those that declared
that life and liberty are your gift to every human being.
Help us to continue a good work begun long ago.
Make our vision clear and our will strong;
that only in human solidarity will we find liberty,
and justice only in the honor that belongs to every life on earth.
Turn our hearts towards the family of nations:
to understand the ways of others,
to offer friendship,
and to find safety in the common good for all.
We ask this through Christ our Lord,
Amen

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from the Holy Gospel according to 𝕷𝖚𝐤𝖊 12:27-31
New Revised Standard Version, Anglicised Catholic Edition (NRSVACE)

Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! And do not keep striving for what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying. For it is the nations of the world that strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead, strive for his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Consider the lilies

I've been reading a lot about little lotuses (young Chinese female saints) because of this Facebook page "Hagiografaith". I just found that inclination to lilies. Lilies are a symbol of virginity, because of its purity. Such as Saint Joseph and Mama Mary are normally symbolized with a lily, along with other virgins/virgin-martyrs. Now speaking about virgin-martyrs and martyrs in general; I thought that, especially them who loved God so much as to give up their lives, why wouldn't the Father have graced them with the best of wheat, or better the Kingdom of God.

I mean, thinking about these promises of God, what is just needed for us is: Faith, Hope, and Love; and unattachment from the world. Now, in our material world, we worry a lot. The poet who wrote the canon of repentance said, "𝘖 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘯! 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘦, 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩? 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘴. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥." and again "𝘗𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦, 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭, 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘶𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥. 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭."

Now, religious and ordained people have the Evangelical Counsels; Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience. And I think, as religious and ordained follow it much strongly, we the laity need to follow too—even how rich, old, or married we are—to follow Christ. Chastity, can be thought of as Purity of soul and body, and it is important that even in the married life we keep the sanctity of it. Poverty, even how rich we are, we must remain humble and benevolent, let us have nothing and everything to give. Obedience, even how old we are or how higher we have in status, we must lower ourselves like Christ lowering Himself in human nature; lower than the angels.

What does this connect with trust in God? It follows. Desiring nothing of this world, keeping our desires pure and not vain, and knowing that our will is nothing to the will of God; so would God give us what is good, what we need, and what is everlasting.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Let us try to follow the evangelical counsels to seek the kingdom of God, because these things will be given to you as well. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

Father, I believe, that Your will, in the Highest and incomprehensible Wisdom to man, is all good. I am nothing than a worm, because of my sins, but with Jesus Christ, Your Son, we have been exalted to somewhere we are not even worthy of. I trust in You, Lord and God and Father of all, because Your providence is immeasurable, and Your loving kindness surpasses all understanding. I consecrate myself to You, this week that I'll be going through, that You may govern my senses from vanity and give me what I need most in life. I ask for Your light, through Your Holy Spirit, that I may see with kindness, gratitude, and understanding all of this that is given unto me, and the crosses that we bear in union with what we ask.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from 𝐏𝖘𝖆𝖑𝖒 18 (19):8-15
Grail Psalms from Universalis (c)

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘄

“Be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect” (Mt 5:48).

The law of the Lord is perfect,
it revives the soul.
The rule of the Lord is to be trusted,
it gives wisdom to the simple.

The precepts of the Lord are right,
they gladden the heart.
The command of the Lord is clear,
it gives light to the eyes.

The fear of the Lord is holy,
abiding for ever.
The decrees of the Lord are truth
and all of them just.

They are more to be desired than gold,
than the purest of gold
and sweeter are they than honey,
than honey from the comb.

So in them your servant finds instruction;
great reward is in their keeping.
But who can detect all his errors?
From hidden faults acquit me.

From presumption restrain your servant
and let it not rule me.
Then shall I be blameless,
clean from grave sin.

May the spoken words of my mouth,
the thoughts of my heart,
win favour in your sight, O Lord,
my rescuer, my rock!

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: great reward is in their keeping.

Today we continue on the Psalm from last week. Just recently, I had a thought, because I saw a quote of Saint Bonaventure about Mary (the picture that I use for this Daily). Now, today's reading tells us the greatness of the law, and Fr. Dave Concepcion would always remind us that the most common fault everyone does is that they do good but it is not the will of God.

There are 3 points I want to talk about today. First is the will of God, of course as exampled by Mary, her "Fiat" or "Let it be" is the greatest act of any creature. Now she is regarded as full of grace, in the same way, I think I have said this before, that she did not lose the grace she had received from birth through sin, and instead increased it with love.

That brings us to the second, love or charity. An exercise that I do, to know what the will of God is, I think I have said this before, is to do what is the most loving thing to do. Now this doesn't apply to heavenly orders from mystical revelations because most of them don't have a lot of explanations and requires action already. But we who are ordinary, are called to do what is most loving, and Saint Paul explained already, that Love fulfills, encompasses, and [most especially] surpasses the Law. Those 10 Commandments are fulfilled by loving God and Neighbour, and the Acts of Mercy/Charity (feed the hungry, clothe the naked etc etc) are way beyond (the extra mile) of the Law.

Now the third point that I want to talk about is that, the divine motherhood (to me at least) isn't a grace that is freely given, but a reward that is earned through merit. We can look at the virtues our Blessed Mother possessed—Chastity and Purity, Piety, Prudence, and of course Faith, Hope, and Love etc.—these virtues that our Blessed Mother possessed, does not just merit her sainthood and eternal life in heaven, but also won the favour of God for the office (like a promotion) of being Theotokos.

So we have not just a woman of great virtue deemed to be worthy of being Theotokos, but a woman of greater love who accepted both sorrow and joy of the divine mysteries, closer than anyone with Jesus on earth and second to the Trinity in hevae. She is most acceptable as our own Mother an advocate for Jesus (as Philip Balzofiore O.S.A. did write). Sorry if this became long now, but I want to end it with this, that a poor and humble woman like Mary can be exalted through God's grace, what more should we be. That is, in her example we only have to do and love the will of God, but also going the extra mile to keep ourselves in the favour of God. "Then shall I be blameless, * clean from grave sin. May the spoken words of my mouth, * the thoughts of my heart, win favour in your sight, O Lord, * my rescuer, my rock!"

𝗢 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿
which flowed out from the heart of Jesus
as a Fountain of Mercy for us,
I trust in You!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: I am glad because I have figured out and shared with you why this psalm is dedicated to Mary in the Servite Devotion "Vigil of Our Lady". I found this prayer called, "The Evangelical Praise to the Mother of God" part of a Lutheran version of the rosary. With humble hearts, let us remember that we have a Loving Mother of God, who by Love not just loved Jesus, but loves also the ones loved by Jesus, us. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

O Blessed Virgin, Mother of God, what great comfort God has shown us in you, by so graciously regarding your unworthiness and low estate. This encourages us to believe that henceforth He will not despise us poor and lowly ones, but graciously regard us also, according to your example.

𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁, unworthy as I am, you took my Cross, poured out your blood, and redeemed the dignity of humanity.
Thank you, and let me repay you with the work of my hands, and the purity of my soul and body being a love-offering like You did. Amen.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is from the book of 𝕷𝖊𝖛𝖎𝖙𝖎𝖈𝖚𝖘 10:1-11
New Revised Standard Version, Anglicised Catholic Edition

𝗡𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝗵𝘂
Now Aaron’s sons, Nadab and Abihu, each took his censer, put fire in it, and laid incense on it; and they offered unholy fire before the Lord, such as he had not commanded them. And fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord. Then Moses said to Aaron, ‘This is what the Lord meant when he said,

“Through those who are near me
I will show myself holy,
and before all the people
I will be glorified.”’

And Aaron was silent.

Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, ‘Come forward, and carry your kinsmen away from the front of the sanctuary to a place outside the camp.’ They came forward and carried them by their tunics out of the camp, as Moses had ordered. And Moses said to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, ‘Do not dishevel your hair, and do not tear your vestments, or you will die and wrath will strike all the congregation; but your kindred, the whole house of Israel, may mourn the burning that the Lord has sent. You shall not go outside the entrance of the tent of meeting, or you will die; for the anointing-oil of the Lord is on you.’ And they did as Moses had ordered.

And the Lord spoke to Aaron: Drink no wine or strong drink, neither you nor your sons, when you enter the tent of meeting, that you may not die; it is a statute for ever throughout your generations. You are to distinguish between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean; and you are to teach the people of Israel all the statutes that the Lord has spoken to them through Moses.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: I will show myself holy,

I have said yesterday about Charity. Now we are reminded again that what was set apart (consecrated) is never again to be unholy. We are all called to the Kingdom of God and especially to be saints. But it is an effect of the fall, that we are inclined to sin though we are called to holiness. We must remember, that although we are inclined to sin doesn't mean we should sin. I read a part of Francis de Sales' Devout Life Intro, and it said that we all have our temptations, and it is in not entertaining or doing them that we triumph.

Now as I read this, I was glad because finally, there is a story in the book of Leviticus. Honestly speaking, the book of Leviticus, is a boring book filled with outdated laws and statutes that, some are very deep that I don't even understand them. I already knew that it is these laws that helps us to love God better, and I knew that but it just illuminated me as I read that. And I thought, this must be obedience, obedience to the Law of the Lord and careful observance of them.

Though, we do not follow the old law, we can quickly discern which of the law is part of the new law of Christ, when it forms Charity, when it begets love. This disheveling of hair and tearing of vestments we can understand as a metaphor to make ourselves loving and aesthetically pleasing in the presence of God. Now many liberals have the motto, "My body, my choice," and they hate anyone who says them otherwise. They want to wear anything they want. If that is what they want then let them, but propriety to modesty, dressing ourselves not for ourselves but for LOVE of neighbour and God is what matters. Because we ourselves will pass, all of us will die at God's will. All of us are predestined to the afterlife, but where we will go after life is our choice on our bodies.

𝗢 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿
which flowed out from the heart of Jesus
as a Fountain of Mercy for us,
I trust in You!

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Let us be selfless, because ourselves don't belong to us, our mortal bodies pass as the psalmist says, "seventy years, eighty for those who are strong"; and our bodies will be made anew in the resurrection and depending on the quality of our souls and our life on earth will we go to a place near God or away from God. And this is different from the case of lusting over anyone, because we have our own moral obligation to keep our hearts, minds, and actions, pure upon the heavenly altar. The Law that inhibits us of worldly pleasures opens to us the gates of heaven. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲.

Lord You are radiant,
You are splendour,
You are majesty and everything that is wonderful and beautiful.
You are my Love and I love You.
But my sins failed me and destroyed the beauty that You have created me,
and with Your Son, You have made me worthy again to be Your lovely bride.
I am thankful for I deserve not these gifts you give.
Yet you have graced me ever abundant of all things.
I desire nothing but Your love, and the flame to immolate that same love on everyone else,
that by burning the worldly affections of our hearts,
we may be now worthy to be filled only with You.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁,
fill the hearts of Your faithful,
and enkindle in them
the fire of Your divine love.
Send forth Your spirit
and they shall be created,
and You shall renew
the face of the earth.

Peace and All Good!

Today is the Feast of the Saint Prophet Elijah, Spiritual Father of the Carmelites
Today is also the Memorial of Saint Apollinaris of Ravenna, Syrian Bishop of Ravenna

Let us begin today's Daily

In the name of the Father, ✠
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.

God our loving Father,
grant us the grace
to hear what we ought to hear,
to see what we ought to see,
that we might do what we ought to do,
in Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.

Today's Reading is from the Book of 1 Kings 18:34-39
Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition

And he said: Fill four buckets with water, and pour it upon the burnt offering, and upon the wood. And again he said: Do the same the second time. And when they had done it the second time, he said: Do the same also the third time. And they did so the third time.

And the water run round about the altar, and the trench was filled with water.

And when it was now time to offer the holocaust, Elias the prophet came near and said: O Lord God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Israel, shew this day that thou art the God of Israel, and I thy servant, and that according to thy commandment I have done all these things.

Hear me, O Lord, hear me: that this people may learn, that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart again.

Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the holocaust, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

And when all the people saw this, they fell on their faces, and they said: The Lord he is God, the Lord he is God.

Reflection: shew this day that thou art the God of Israel

When I was young, around grade 4, I was always been fascinated about Elijah. I watched this animated film about Elijah, it was wonderful and humorous. At that age, I also learned about the Easter Vigil, and the very first Easter Vigil our family went to was in our parish. Now it had this ritual that fire would come down and I was really overjoyed remembering Elijah.

I wanted to talk about Seraphs. Seraphs are known to burn with love, burn with charity, and not just simple burning but overflowing fire because of too much Charity. They are the closest to God, and we all know that God is love. Now when we think about it, Jesus took Human Flesh above the angels (above the seraphs) and the Saints are closest to Jesus who is closest to the Father—as scripture says, Jesus wants us to be One with Him, as He is one with the Father—we could only imagine how much burning and extraordinary love the saints have in their lives on earth.

Mother Teresa mentioned that, Saint do ordinary things with extraordinary love. And when I was meditating the rosary, I think of Mary, she not just did what the Father willed but done so in extraordinary love for Jesus and Mankind. Saint Joseph loved Mary and the Child Jesus with extraordinary love of being their father. We go to Moses who held the Israelites with extraordinary love pleading to God for mercy. We look at the prophets who by will of God and extraordinary love of neighbour even unto death prophesized what the spirit said.

Now we go to Elijah, what other most extraordinary love is there than to share in God's lament over the Idolatry of the people of Israel. And he, Elijah, had loved the Lord so much, though he was downcast by the death of his other prophet friends, he took himself up and gone to do the will of God. What fire isn't there, aside from physical fire, that hasn't been burning up in him to show his Beloved to the nation of Israel.

O Blood and Water
which flowed out from the heart of Jesus
as a Fountain of Mercy for us,
I trust in You!

Prayer: Let us imitate fire, and be fire and light as Jesus had commanded us. Jesus is the Seraph above all Seraphs, the Fire of Charity that consumed the Saints. When we are consumed by this fire, people will see and know that Our God is true and living. Let us Pray.

Father, creator of unfailing fire,
make as, in a human way, a living sacrifice, a holocaust for You, for others' sins, and those souls in purgatory. Consume us with the fire of Your divine love, and make us Thine, for we are always Thine and we want nothing else than Thou my God and lord. Amen.

To You O Blessed Joseph, we have recourse to You too.
Amen.

In the name of the Father, ✠
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.

The Stinkpot Turtle wrote:You know I am.

I will be away for a long time, since school is starting.

But I want to share with you two ikons of God the Father

I just had a kind of reunion with the latter image. It's like I forgot that it is God the Father, but it is God the Father, and the drawing of the latter was shown after some visions from a Nun.

The first one I just thought it is kinda cool, since it is God the Father through our imaginations. And interesting about it is the colour white.

I think both images are really cool and I want to remind that life is not sad or boring or hell. Because we have a Father who made us, He who is All Good, Almighty, and is Our Father through Jesus Christ whom he begot. And the love that we see and cannot see, and feel and cannot feel; and the beauty of creation and it's complexity and intricacy; is just something that we should always remember, because it is good and joyful. God would want us to be happy.

A reading, Galatians 4:6, NRSVACE

And because you are children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba! Father!'

What father would not want us to call him affectionately as "Father," or "Papa," or whatever it is in our native tongue? What more is Our Father who Art in Heaven?

May Elizabeth rest in the arms of the Lord who formed her from the dust of the earth.
May holy Mary, the angels, and all the saints welcome her now that she has gone forth from this life.
May Christ who was crucified for her, bring her freedom and peace.
May Christ who died for her admit her into his garden of paradise.
Amen.
