Nuclear Disaster: Accident Spreads Radioactive Cloud, Partial Core Meltdown Suspected, Deemed "Not Threatening"
Nuclear energy is the second leading energy producer in Malarsia. While hydropower dominates the energy sector, nuclear power is a growing sector used to fuel Malarsia's growing futuristic urban areas and has seen a skyrocket in usage, with twenty-five new nuclear reactors being built in the last five years alone, and older ones being refitted to serve the nation's new power demands.
These nuclear power plants, and nuclear power in general, are not dominated by monopolies like the rest of the Malarsian economy. Most nuclear companies own less than five plants, and some even own only one. Nonetheless, three companies have been buying out reactors and building new ones, likely trying to establish their own monopoly and gain a spot on The Trust. These three companies are Electric Aver, Deher Cycle, and Fomet Energy.
Electric Aver has been the most aggressive, and owns nineteen reactors- five it built itself, fourteen it purchased then refit. One facility, called the Vanguard Atomic Energy Production and Research Facility, has a 2300 MWe reactor, the most powerful and advanced reactor in Malarsia. Considering the situation in Malarsia as well, it is also the most heavily guarded, both physically and cyberly. Although the plant was opened after running way over budget and after being delayed 12 years, the reactor was the envy of the world, its efficiency nearly unmatched, and its sheer energy output powered the new, futuristic cities The Trust had built.
But there were serious design flaws with the reactor; it was extremely unstable, required a lot of skilled operators, and produced a lot of waste. But these problems were swept under the rug in favor of propaganda about the reactor's sheer power powering the new society of Malarsia, but scientists working at the plant had serious concerns about the safety of the reactor, concerns that would be realized.
A couple of days ago, during the night shift, the energy output of the reactor plummeted, causing concern among the scientists and operators, leading to an emergency protocol being activated. After a chip that allowed the operators to bypass all safety restrictions was inserted into the computer, the scientists went to work diagnosing the problem. After maybe finding the problem, the scientists determined that it was a problem with the connections to and from the reactor and the computers, and sent workers down to repair the issue. After entering the basement below the reactor room, however, the workers found it was bleeding radioactive water, causing an emergency to be declared. Scientists attempted to fix the issue, but with their connection to the reactor being severed, there was little they could do. As the reactor bled water, the material within began to overheat, causing a meltdown. Workers suited up to go into the hot zone to repair the reactor, which they were able to do, but at a cost of seven lives.
Electric Aver declared the disaster over soon after, and the reactor was scrammed so that no more reactions could occur. The incident was deemed a 6 out of 7 on the International Nuclear Event Scale, with a serious impact on people and the environment, though Electric Aver declared that any impact from the event is being "taken care of", and has sealed the area off to the public with the help of KERPTA.
Additionally, KERPTA and Electric Aver are investigating whether or not the incident was a result of terrorist attacks by Leftists operating in the bayous, but many scientists are doubtful of this and claim the disaster was a result of poor reactor design. It goes without saying that the incident has shaken trust in not only Electric Aver, but also in nuclear energy among members of The Trust. KERPTA in particular is doubtful of the potential of nuclear energy now, meaning it is now likely that hydropower will retain its dominance in the energy sector.

Politburo Elects new Premier; Questions Remain Over Election Error
Millions of Sozkanans turned on their TVs and refreshed government websites in anticipation on who Sozkana’s new premier was going to be. It has been a hard and long year for the government, with the original election for premier set to take place back in May, the Politburo decided to postpone the election to deal with the ongoing election crisis. For those unaware, the Supreme Workers’ Council elections were compromised after a computer failure invalidated the results of roughly half of the elections, with the computers showing each candidate in each election having won 999,999,999 votes. The headache of having to run new elections, rescheduling the entire government’s plans, and trying to find what caused the error meant long hours in the office for many politicians, least of all the Politburo. Thankfully the error did not affect the Politburo elections, so the crisis at least had strong leadership to guide the government.
Though the second elections went off without any major incidents, the question of what caused the error remains, and it is for this reason why the Politburo postponed their election for premier until now. And as the Politburo gathered for a meeting to elect the premier, a fire broke out in the next building over, prompting the meeting to be called off before it could begin out of safety concerns. Finally, though, the Politburo was able to conviene and elect a new premier late last night.
The two candidates for premier were Kozlov, a veteran and seasoned politician in the Supreme Workers’ Council elected into the Politburo in 2087, and the incumbent Artemo, also a veteran who has led Sozkana as premier since 2077. Artemo has preferred the status quo over anything else, and so while Sozkana has been safe under his leadership, it has not exactly prospered either, domestically or internationally. With that in mind, the Politburo elected Kozlov as the new premier five to two over Artemo. While Artemo conceded the election and said that had no plans to step down from the Politburo, saying he respects Kozlov and the others and believes he can work together with them to improve Sozkana, he did say he was “disappointed” by the election. Kozlov thanked Artemo for his service as premier in his speech given a couple hours after the election to the Sozkanan public, saying he looks forward to working with him in the future.
Also in his speech, Kozlov said his first priority would be to find out what caused the election error, saying "Democracy is core to Toraism, without it, we have nothing. Any threats to that democracy need to be fought, we will get to the bottom of this." Other topics included in his speech include continuing Sozkana's military modernization campaign, further cooperation with Toraist parties all over the world, housing improvements, greater roles for the labor unions in the economy, and education reform.
To learn more about Kozlov and other members of the Politburo, visit Sozkana's factbook "The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Toraist Party of Sozkana".

The 2092 GASCAR World Cup Series has concluded. It was the 38th season of the professional series, with the season starting with the Baytona 500 on February 20th, and ending with the Wentz 400 on November 12th.
Prelude
Several manufacturers made changes to their cars before the season; Kistler made slight aerodynamic changes to their cars bodies, Ettlinger made slight modifications to their engine's cooling, and Calovac made modifications to their car's chassis design. Two new drivers entered the field; Klaus Nehmenis replaced Crocetta Corsetti in the #4 car after Corsetti's retirement. Finn Buchman replaced Eckart Schott in the #38 car after Schott was let go by the team.
Season
Calovac started out the season strong, winning both qualifying races for the Baytona 500 with Costiniu capturing the victory in the 500. The second race of the season would be marred by a horrific looking crash which sent Clerisseau into the fence, knocking him out of commission for most of the season. Kistler cars powered Tony Maxwell to victory at Trover, but the cars faltered to the Huicks and Katimoses during the first international swing. The second Alabackian swing was a slugfest between different manufacturers, but the second international swing saw the Kistlers, Cehves, and Ettlingers falter to the Huicks and Katimoses, with Costiniu's leading Calovac's charge to the championship. But Makaro, lead driver for Huick, was leading the points by a pretty safe margin on her "Drive for Five" to claim her fifth championship.
But her Drive for Five would be derailed after a DNF at Calcaterra, allowing Costiniu to sneak up on her points lead. Costiniu went on a tear, winning at Calcaterra and Conmerica, closing the points gap with Makaro by 15 points. At Azaltan, Costiniu wheeled her Calovac to a victory, claiming the championship over Makaro by five points. It was Costiniu's first championship, Calovac's first, and Martinescu-Maniu Motorsports' second.
Laurentiu Oprea won the GASCAR All-Star Race, Finn Buchman won the Rookie of the Year award, and Vik Dorn won the Most Popular Driver award.
Other Stories
Davy Clerisseau narrowly avoided serious injury in the second race of the season at Palm Mile. After Baldur Huwyler's engine blew up in turn four, spinning oil over the track and colliding with Alex Bach, Clerisseau spun in the oil before GASCAR could wave the yellow flag. Unable to recover the car, it caught air after flying off of the dirt in the infield created by Huwyler and Bach's crash; he flew over Bach's car into the catchfence, and while the fence held preventing the car from going into the grandstands, Clerisseau was seriously injured in the crash and had to take most of the early season off, returning nine races later at the There's No Place Like Skahyahn 400. He would go onto win at Glenigrad later in the season. As a result of the crash and his absence, he tapped some old racers to drive his car in his place, which saw the return of Grace Trustmanster and Stefan Anamar to the track for a few races. Nonetheless, Clerisseau made a full recovery.
Finn Buchman automatically won the Rookie of the Year award over Klaus Nehmenis by wheeling his #38 machine to victory at the Termatt Inc 500 at Gallediga. The #38 car, owned by Juliper Racing, is often considered a backmarker car, often struggling to place above 30th. However, superspeedways like Gallediga offer smaller teams an opportunity to compete up front, as at superspeedways raw power gives way to drafting skill, where simple racing moves like passing are made much more complex, and timing is everything. Nehmenis and the #38 team took advantage of a late multi-car crash to claim the victory after a speedy pitstop put them in front of the pack.
GASCAR executives and officials met in Baytona, Alaback, to discuss the future of the GASCAR Truck Series. With decreasing money and increasing costs, the series has struggled financially with sponsorship and prize money, the latter often being low, prompting many teams to leave or downsize. As such, GASCAR officials have decided to cut seven races from the Truck Series, mostly international races to save teams cost. The Alabackian races cut were the Boxem Boats 200 at Trover and the G&B 250 at Gallediga. The five international races cut were the Coca 250 at Pine Tree (North Nebraska), the Osjil 150 at Mid-Austilla (Oliandiria), the National Technologies 200 at Ganvther (Skayahn), the Davide's Fine Cuisine 200 at Iron Cross (Diemetsa), and the Dalton Beer 150 at the Clayyard at Libertas (Calcaterra). GASCAR executives and officials declined when asked for further comment.

Monsoon season came especially hard this year, with extremely heavy rains all across Chinern. Luckily, due to local and regional governments having constructed levees and emergency evacuation plans, damage was kept to a minimum. The anti-flooding project enacted by the Presidium a few years ago got its first test. As of time of writing, the system has proven to reduce flooding levels by redirection. This monsoon season has also supplied the government with the data needed to improve the defenses.
The world is always changing, politically, physically, and socially. Locations change, the rationale, the objective. However, Chinern strives to always be on top. To that end, we look towards the friendly giant in the east: The People's Republic of Sozkana. Sozkana and Chinern have historically had cordial relations due to both nations having Toraist governments and being in the Sixth Internationale. Since the construction of Pier 54 by Sozkana, Senora, and Chinern, military cooperation between the Toraist Republic and the People's Republic has grown ever closer. This is the culmination of that friendship: Operation People's Shield. Various units of the Chinernian Armed Forces were noted as having arrived in Sozkana for military exercises. The most prominent of these were the deployment of the 038th Special Task Battalion (Panther's Teeth) to train with Sozkanan Spetsnaz. Also noteworthy was the heavy Chinernian Air Force presence during the exercise. Formations of Super Skyflares and ChU-41Us were the most visible, but other heavier unnamed aircraft were also spotted.
Premier Alan Kuveli's long reign has now come to an end. Citing declining health from ulcerative colitis, he has stepped down to receive medical care and rehabilitation. Taking his place temporarily will be the General Secretary Omalayo Yejide. Yejide is known for being a Toraist hardliner. It is unknown when or if Alan Kuveli will return to politics, but as of now the nation can look forwards to the technical premiership of Omalayo Yejide.

Medieval Fortress Found During Interstate Construction!
With the first records of human civilization dating all the way back to 5000 BCE, Zambet Fata is bound to have some pieces of history that have yet to be uncovered. New artifacts are discovered almost everyday all around the nation, and though most major historical sites have already been discovered, given the sheer amount of time that civilization has existed in Zambet Fata, some are bound to yet be discovered.
One such site, which many thought lost to history, was the Rekse Castle. Constructed sometime in the 10th century, it was the home of the Cenamnt Clan of the Impus Empire, which ruled over much of south central Zambet Fata, near the borders with Bonple and Sozkana. Though not the leading clan, the Cenamnt did play a prominent role in the empire's politics, and sided with Empress Leta during the Impus split, later becoming a leading force in Luta's victory in the Impus civil war. Though after Traja's conquest of the Impus Empire the Cenamnt would see practical extinction, the clan remains an area of study in the larger Impus Empire field.
Many historians believed that Rekse Castle was destroyed in the Siege of Rekse Castle, where the castle's mighty defenses were humbled by Traja's forces, who razed the castle to the ground, or so many thought.
The expansion of the International Interstate System in Zambet Fata's south central area was desperately needed. The interstate's current infrastructure was beginning to crack, literally, under the increased pressure of international trade. And so, the Department of Transportation authorized an expansion of routes and supporting roads to help relieve some of the pressure. One of these supporting roads would connect the small cities of Malachi and Sepney, a move championed by both cities. Scouting and planning began in late July, with construction beginning in early August.
On August 11th, road teams uncovered an unusual tunnel after moving several tons of dirt from a hill. This tunnel prompted investigation by local authorities, who quickly halted work on the road. After finding what appeared to be a sword covered in rust, the authorities alerted the University of Apa at Sepney's history department and the Sepney Historical Society, who quickly descended on the site. They quickly discovered this tunnel was actually a secret evacuation tunnel that belonged to Rekse Castle, and after coming across what appeared to be some remains of the castle itself, they alerted the University of Apa system, which in turn alerted the Zambet Fatan Historical Association, the largest organization of historians in Zambet Fata.
The ZFHA successfully petitioned for the road to be diverted and for excavation of the site to begin. A team of medieval historians, students and personnel from the University of Apa and the University of Apa at Sepney, members of the Sepney Historical Society, as well as dedicated archaeologists, began work to bring the site to life. Professor Justin Merenda, head of the project, stated that, "Any discovery of a previously unfound castle is a big deal, I'd go as far as to call it a sensation. When we found out that they found a sword in the tunnel, we couldn't pass it up, so we gladly took on the challenge."
While the project is ongoing, the team has so far uncovered all of the tunnel and the walls of the castle, with work on uncovering the interior of the castle underway. So far, highlights of the project include the uncovering of a large break in the castle walls, likely caused during the siege, a complete set of horse armor, two semi-intact ballistae, a nearly complete tea set, as well as a chest of twenty rusty lances.
Work is ongoing, and those participating in the project are hopeful that more items can be found, and that the castle and the items and secrets it contains can help shed more light on this often neglected period of Zambet Fatan history.

Bomb rocks Zarwia as tensions mount in the Bonple, Debate Rages in Congress, Princess Sunna fights for the monarchy's influence
Though not the rulers of Bonple (that honor goes to the monarchy), the Bonple Congress plays an important role in the ruling of the country. Assembled every two years since 965, the Congress is made up of 500 Deputies which come from all walks of life. Some are elected, some are sent by their local governments, some are prominent politicians in other areas of the government invited to participate, while others receive invitations for a variety of reasons (prominent general, priest, administrator, etc.)
This year's congress, the 564th Bonple Congress, was not opened by Queen Jajka for the first time since 2040, as is tradition for the sitting monarch to do. Instead, Princess and Kaiserin Sunna opened the congress, marking the first time in over 100 years the sitting monarch did not open the congress. As Queen Jajka, though still in fair health, grows closer to the pearly gates, Princess Sunna has taken up many of her old duties in preparation for her rule. Whereas before she was too busy with her duties as Kaiserin of Diemetsa, the Princess has taken a leading role recently in Bonple politics, building influence and finding allies.
But Princess Sunna might also be doing this as a fight for the crown's survival, as some question if the monarchy's days are numbered. After Bonple's defeat in the South Stelin War, rising income inequality, and lack of political rights in some areas of Bonple that are standard in other parts of the world, many have grown skeptical of the monarchy. None are more direct in their criticism of the monarchy then Janusz Kurek (often shortened to "Jarek"), head of the United Workers' Party, who has led Bonple's left to victory after victory in elections. Jarek wants the monarchy ended, claiming that monarchy has no right being an institution of power, in any nation, in the 21st century, and that the people have the right to rule their own destinies, not an "elite family".
While many in Bonple agree the monarchy's powers should be limited, Jarek and his UWP also make many uneasy, with their far-left views which many have labeled Toraist. This is where National Union, a party led by Marcel Konopa, comes into play. They advocate for increased democracy within Bonple, for the Bonple Congress to be entirely elected, and for the monarchy's powers to be limited, with some even advocated a constitutional monarchy.
Currently, 106 Deputies align themselves with the UWP, 119 with National Union, and the other 275 Deputies either part of the pro-monarchy National Party of the Crown or independents, so debate rages on any issue that comes up in the Bonple Congress, with leading Deputies working 14 hour days almost every day since the Congress opened.
But while the Congress was in recess for the weekend (a tradition since its founding), members of the National Party of the Crown and National Union were meeting to hammer out a coalition against the UWP on the issue of customs reform when an armed assailant threw a grenade into the room, causing the members to dive for cover. Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured, but this issue received worldwide attention because a key figure was at this meeting: Princess Sunna.
The Bonple Special Forces, headed by General Kacper Pater (a rising politician in Bonple politics in his own right), led an investigation into the incident as Princess Sunna was cleaning house in the military for the incident. Princess Sunna wanted to sack General Pater, as the two have a history of fierce disagreement, with Princess Sunna, while being a strong believer in aristocracy, also believes in awarding those who serve the Bonple state dutifully, and in living a prim and proper life according to the social standards of the monarchy, which she enjoys. General Pater is the complete opposite; a lover of fast guns, fast cars, and fast women, he awards people who are good at their job regardless of their beliefs or social standing. Unfortunately for Princess Sunna, General Pater is extremely good at his job, and though the assailant and his co-conspiracies were killed in a gunfight with Bonple forces, Kaper's forces seized entire crates of guns and explosives and also tons of hard drives containing vital intelligence.
Princess Sunna and General Pater have, so far, set aside their differences to address the rising security threat in Bonple, which is on the agenda for the Bonple Congress later this month, where General Pater is expected to head an effort to secure more funding for the Bonple military. Regardless of the issue though, debate rages, so it remains to be seen what the Congress will decide and what Queen Jajka will sign off on.
GASCAR News Center
The 2093 GASCAR World Cup Series has concluded. It was the 39th season of the professional series, with the season starting with the Baytona 500 on February 20th, and ending with the Wentz 400 on November 12th.
Prelude
Every manufacturer made slight adjustments to their bodywork and roll cage in accordance with a new rule in that GASCAR created over the off season. The rule mandated all cars have an extra roll cage beam going across the bottom of the A and B pillars of the car, with GASCAR saying the rule was to improve driver safety in the event of a "high-speed T-bone".
One massive story over the off season was who was going to replace Baldur Huwyler in the #28 Trustmanster Racing Katimos. With Huwyler's retirement at the end of the 2092 season, Grace Trustmanster, current owner of the team, was faced with the prospect of finding a new driver for her car in a year where most veteran and experienced drivers already had contracts with other teams. However, this was not an issue for Trustmanster, as as soon as Huwyler announced his retirement Trustmanster was in talks with one driver in particular. That driver was Davy Clerisseau, who runs his own Katimos team that is in a technical alliance with Trustmanster Racing. Clerisseau loved racing for his own team, but couldn't pass up the opportunity Grace was giving him. So, Clerisseau signed to drive for Trustmanster, and tapped regional racing star and up and comer in the truck series, Arwin Bendel, to drive his #49 car.
This was the only driver change in the off season.
Season
Clerisseau burst onto the scene with his new team by winning the Baytona 500 in his first start with Trustmanster Racing, and he went on a tear in the first quarter of the season, winning four of the first six races. Clerisseau would give way to Sonina Makaro, however, who led Huick's charge to the points lead in the middle season. He'd come back with a 600 win, taking the points lead back, but Makaro would quickly take it back next week at the Roval.
Clerisseau's season would fall apart with a series of unfortunate accidents and DNFs in the latter half of the season, and the same fate would befall Makaro. The previous season's champion, Kalevi Costiniu, who's led Calovac's entry into GASCAR, was racking up Top 10s like they were going out of style, giving her a comfortable third place in the points. Jumping on Clerisseau's and Makaro's late season collapse, Costiniu pounced into action, getting top five after top five, and even racking up a win at the Clayyard 400. Costiniu would cruise off that win to her second championship. It was also Calovac's second, and Martinescu-Maniu Motorsports' third.
Tony Maxwell won the GASCAR All-Star Race, Arwin Bendel won the Rookie of the Year award, and Vik Dorn won the Most Popular Driver award.
Other Stories
Dernov Larion claimed a victory in Conmerica at the Callum Corp 500, breaking his 155 long race losing streak, which has lasted over five years. Larion has been one of the best drivers in Huick's lineup, racking up four championships in his career, making him one of the best drivers in GASCAR's history. However, Larion is getting up there in age, and his performance has declined as a result, and so he and his crew celebrated this win like it was his last, because it might be, even though he has no plans to retire.
Denis Mittermaier isn't the driver that many think of when it comes to Ettlinger, but Mittermaier rode vanguard in Ettlinger's ride this season. While Ettlinger's teams weren't bad, they were not good either, except for Mittermaier's, who was able to claim a ninth place points finish, with a win at the GASCAR All-Star Race open. Getting a top ten points finish with no points paying wins is an impressive feat, one that Mittermaier attributes to his new crew chief, Lucas Kruntzer. Kruntzer was the crew chief for Morem Sosco for a couple of years, but switched to Mittermaier's after Angor-Morton shook up their teams in the off season. So far, the Kruntzer-Mittermaier team looks good, but time will tell if they can build on this success.
Nadia Trauth had a solid season this year, and in this solid season arose an interesting factoid. She won three races this year, but this was also the third straight year she placed third in points at season's end. It would seem that Nadia's lucky number lately has been the number three.

Queen Jajka passes peacefully in sleep at Zarwia, Sunna, now Crown Princess at 57, to become Queen
The Bonple royal family issued a press statement naught but one hour ago announcing that Queen Jajka has passed in her sleep at 78, reportedly from a stroke, brought on by complications from hypertension, which was further compounded by her undergoing treatment for a fractured skull and concussion which resulted from her falling in her personal residence. Jajka is survived by her only surviving child, now Crown Princess Sunna, also Kaiserin of Diemetsa, and Sunna's husband, Kaiser Hans of Diemetsa.
The news of death, though still fresh in the news cycle, has been met with widespread mourning throughout both Bonple but also our compatriot states of Diemetsa and Kolanica, as well as fellow Sberrj-ruled states of Nedporen and Valirria, and Bonples all around the world. Many, though seeing Jajka as knocking on death's door, were shocked that it happened as soon as it did, as just yesterday Jajka was up and taking a walk around Zarwia, and appeared to be in good health. Nonetheless, doctors found no evidence of foul play in her passing.
The Bonple Congress, still in session, held a moment of silence upon the news of her passing, and then, following with tradition, awarded her her epithet, with "the Great" winning the vote handily. Several members, including General Kacper Pater and Marcel Konopa, also gave their condolences to Crown Princess Sunna, and gave speeches remembering Jajka the Great, praising her leadership and devotion to duty and success in building Bonple into the great power it is today, as well as praising her as an outstanding military leader and a more than capable monarch.
That sentiment is shared by many Bonples, but there are those, including Janusz Kurek, who view her differently. Though they acknowledge her as a great leader, they have also come to question some of her achievements, claiming it was the average person that allowed Jajka to accomplish many of the things she did. Kurek has also, in particular, been critical of her role during the South Stelin War and her failure to take action in removing radical nationalist elements from the government sooner, which he says would have prevented the war.
Nonetheless, many Bonple historians hold Jajka the Great in high regard, and the government has ordered all flags at half-mast for the rest of the week. Sunna will now take on the role of Crown Princess until her official coronation, which, along with Jajka's funeral, do not have a date set yet, though Sunna promised that both will occur soon and that the dates will be given as soon as possible.
The Queen is dead, long live the Queen!

Sixth International adopts new standardized military equipment: a new people's rifle?
As Sozkana and its international partners continue to meet the demands of defending toraism at home an abroad, the new Sozkanan Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff Mishin Yegoro, appointed by Premier Secretary Sharof Kozlov, decided that the Sixth International must standardize its equipment if it is to succeed in the future.
Sixth International forces learned unstandardized equipment brought trouble in battle the hard way in the South Stelin War, the Archipelago War, and the Palanchian Intervention, when soldiers from the same alliance were using guns of different calibers, construction, sights, velocity etc.; a Sozkanan gun and a Chinernian gun were two very different weapons, making cooperation on the battlefield extremely difficult.
But that changed earlier this week in Filo City, Chinern, as military representatives from Sozkana, Chinern, and Ossta gathered to design, submit, and test different weapons for adoption by all of the Sixth International. Senora, though not present at the conference, did submit a list of recommendations for firearms and some Black Army officers were present for some meetings virtually.
The goal of the summit was to have firearms that would meet the needs of all member nations militaries, with all agreeing that the firearms, particularly the assault/battle rifle, needed to be cheap, easy to use, easy to maintain, versatile, and decently accurate. With this in mind, the summit set out to find the perfect assault rifle, pistol, submachine gun, rocket launcher, and sniper rifle. Though certain elements of the firearms are kept secret, at least for now, we can share the final picks the summit made, which will be the new weapons of the Sixth International.
The KR-1 was selected as the standard assault rifle, named after its lead designer, Aminev Kirillo (Kirillo Rifle 1). Weighing in at roughly 8 pounds, its modular design enables users to change the caliber of the gun to 5.56mm or 7.62mm, the two most used cartridges in the world, depending on the circumstances and the user's needs. Simple and easy to repair or modify, the KR-1 will make a fine new "people's rifle".
The winning design for the submachine gun, the GD79, named after its Chinernian designer Giang Dieu, with it being his seventh design and firing a 9mm round. Featuring an integral suppressor and extensive modularity, yet simple, small, and lightweight, the GD79 was a fine choice.
Pistols, ever important, were also tested. The selection was whittled down to two designs, with the committee ultimately selecting the TT- 1. Designed by Tsvetkov Timofeye, it was selected for its versatility, allowing users to customize it for any use. Fully ambidextrous, compact, and lightweight, the TT-1 was everything the committee was looking for. Its reliability and smooth operation, however, won it the day over any of the other pistols, with one shooter describing the pistol as “smooth as butter in everything it does”. A civilian version is also planned to be produced for sporting and self-defense purposes.
As for the rocket launcher, it was the experience in recent wars that guided its development. The rocket launcher, called the Decmi-RL, (named after the Decmi river in Sozkana), is bulky, but behind that bulkiness is one of the most advanced rocket launchers of the modern day, while also being relatively simple to use. Most of the Decmi-RL's information is still top secret, so that is all we can tell you now.
Speaking of top secret weapons, the summit did release some information on their sniper rifle pick. Called the SRM-94 (Sniper Rifle Model 2094), all we know about this gun is it is has a extremely long range, is rather accurate, and has a "enhanced penetration round" it can fire.
With the weapons selected, production started with the weapons going through additional testing to work out any kinks, though the overall designs will become the right arms of the red world.

A new ship and a new day.
It is with great joy that the workers of the Okparo Shipyard announce that the second planned carrier of the Ogechukwukama-class was completed today. There are currently three of this type of ship slated for construction, and the groundwork of the third and last one will be started next year. The construction of the ship was slated to take much much longer, but with an infusion of Sozkanan engineering experts and resources, the time needed for production was dramatically reduced. A few hours ago, with much fanfare, the CNV Udo made slid into the water from its position at the drydock and into the sea. The carrier will be host to Carrier Strike Group 92, which is made up of two squadrons of F/A-18 "Sea Snakes." The Udo is assigned to the Second Carrier Strike Group, and their immediate mission is to head to the Sozkanan coast to perform air drills with a newly equipped Sozkanan air wing. The First Secretary gave a long winded speech during the christening of the vessel, transcribed here:
"The men and women who accompanied Frederick Darmkes and Charles Osser at their burials were few. Today the lives of thousands of millions of men and women have been profoundly affected and changed by the enduring ideas of Tora. In two continents, workers, taking control of their destiny, are building a happy future, are building Toraism.
Against Toraism, imperialism mobilizes incalculable human and material resources. The most sophisticated weapons, the threat of thermonuclear, bacteriological and chemical disaster, the ocean depths and cosmic space are deployed in an attempt to neutralize and destroy Toraism.
For the oppressed peoples and classes, for the peoples and workers who have taken control of their destiny, Toraism is a shining path, a sun of hope and certainty that never sets, a sun that is always at its zenith.
Toraism, the science of revolution, is the fruit of practice, of mankind’s struggle for a better future and so is renewed and developed through human practice. The experience of revolutionary struggle of the Sozkanan people provides an illustration of this principle.
Dear comrades, our history validates the thesis that the motive force of history is class struggle. Class struggle was and is a reality on our island homes.
Our pre-colonial society was familiar with complex state formations, such as Uzoma and Nneka. They were political and social systems of a feudal type, at differing stages of development. In some there survived elements of earlier slave systems. In others there were already emergent mercantile strata which, in another phase of history, would come to shape a new evolution in society. In all of them there was a distinction between exploiters and exploited.
Colonial repression of these state formations and the integration of society into the capitalist and imperialist system, which was emerging in the era, brought new historical changes.
The antagonists within the society facilitated colonial occupation. Representatives of the exploiting strata betrayed the national cause and made an alliance with the foreigner to continue the domination and exploitation of their own people. Once the country was conquered the betrayers of the nation were also subjected to domination, since they in turn were betrayed by their erstwhile ally.
Colonial conquest, by introducing a system of large plantations and landholdings, exploitation of minerals, and the building of railways and roads, began the process of proletarianizing the countryside.
Our country’s liberation struggle arose as a consequence of the contra- diction between colonized and colonizers, between exploited and exploiters. Reformist patterns of nationalist pressure were precluded by the very nature of colonial-Fascism.
It was legally impossible to establish Chinernian social organizations and even less a nationalist party or a trade union. There was no earthly hope of dialogue with the colonial power to lead to self-determination, much less to independence.
The historical alternative for our people was recourse to revolutionary violence to put an end to imperialist violence. The Toraist thesis of making war on war to achieve peace reveals its correctness once again. In the founding of the Chinernian Freedom League it was essentially plantation workers, poor peasants subjected to forced labour, who provided the social base for the organization.
In the process of armed struggle for liberation, liberated areas were created. We had to determine in practice what power to establish in the areas. With the production of material goods, basic questions presented themselves in an acute form. It was a question of understanding whom the struggle served, since former and new exploiters, aspirants for bourgeois status, wanted to establish their power over the people.
The conflicts experienced in the Red Front in the period 2020-2024 were, above all, class conflicts. Out of the correct solution of the conflict a qualitative advance was made by the Chinernian revolution. Once again class struggle was revealed as the cause of advances in history. The creation of liberated areas made viable and current the issues of property and power, and brought as an ingredient in the claim for independence the question of the social regime to be set up.
That is how in the process of class struggle, within the Front and in the liberated areas, the seed was sown of the Toraist party, of the socialist revolution, of the people’s democratic state. There was an acceleration in the revolutionary process. An acceleration of the movement towards toraist, even though the working class was weak in size and in awareness of its class interest.
The war situation acted as a powerful catalyst which, thanks to political work, encouraged understanding of the real aims of the conflict. An awareness of the great sacrifices that were demanded stirred in the society a felt need for radical changes in its internal relations. The accumulated experience of mankind in the struggle against exploitation, synthesized in Toraism, enabled the Chinernian revolutionary movement to benefit from and absorb that experience. In the process Toraism was enriched.
Under Chinern’s conditions, revolutionary practice led us to give pride of place to toraist revolution, and led us to launch the process of building toraism in a context of widespread illiteracy, a narrow working class and in the absence of an established Toraist party. The struggle by Chinernian workers, under the leadership of the vanguard nucleus generated by the Red Front, enabled us to find correct responses to these problems. In this sense, although each people’s revolutionary experience is specific, it does not lie outside Toraist thinking.
Dear comrades, this description in synthesis of the main strands of our experience has led to some essential conclusions. A first conclusion indicates the universality of class struggle, of contradiction as the motive force of history. A second shows the leading and decisive role of working- class ideology in the correct solution of conflicts prevailing in present-day society.
The revolution has triumphed in Chinern with the victory of the people’s war of liberation. It has triumphed in the sense shown by Tora, as a correlation of forces, as a determination to build toraism, since with the people’s support the interests and concepts of the proletariat have been placed in control.Tora’s thinking demonstrates that it is vitally important to settle the question of where power lies, who wields power.
The dictatorship of the proletariat is as alive today as at the time of the Commune. State action depends on it in the long and complex process of transforming social relations, in establishing a material and scientific base, in educating man. Such state action and the broad management of society require the organization of the workers’ vanguard into a party equipped with the scientific ideology of the proletariat. So, at the First Congress in 2022, our Toraist Party was born from its embryo in the Front.
Dear comrades, internationalism, unity of the exploited of the earth, is one of the basic constants in Tora’s thinking. In our own time, in the face of imperialism’s mounting aggressiveness, it manifests itself in the need for closer and closer union between the components of the contemporary revolutionary movement. Internationalism in our era acquires an extra dimension, with the need to struggle for peace and against catastrophe.
We are witnessing today an uncontrolled arms race, we see imperialism’s insistent efforts to deploy its weapons of mass destruction in various parts of the world. We are witnessing today the growing support imperialism gives to the most retrograde forces of mankind, to monarchist and capitalist regimes that oppress, exploit and massacre the working classes.
These actions by imperialism are meeting growing resistance from peace- and progress-loving peoples, in the light of the unbreakable determination of the workers of the world to thwart such actions.
In the struggle for peace it is Toraist forces who must lead mankind’s struggle for survival. The broadest front has been built around this struggle.
The struggle for peace must prevent the causes of war.
Imperialist exploitation and an unjust international economic order are a cause of war.
The imperialist policy of destabilization and aggression against states that refuse to submit to imperialism and that embark on the road of revolutionary change is a provocation to war. Economic, financial and military blackmail, provocations against socialist states all over the world are factors for war.
Chinern’s independence was the contribution made by the Chinernian people to the struggle for peace. Today, in association with other Toraist countries for the purposes of worldwide economic co-operation, and in concerted action to prevent the real danger of war already posed by the capitalist regime, we have established a significant front in the struggle for peace.
Dear comrades, a century after the death of Tora, the cause of Toraism has ceased to be a dream and has become a reality that changes the world. The vitality of revolutionary science, systematized by Tora, can have no better proof than the facts themselves.
The toraist countries assert themselves and advance. The experience of toraist revolution, of toraist construction, is overall an enrichment and constant broadening of Tora’s original teachings. Each country and each revolution makes a new contribution to the development of our science, of our heritage.
With the concepts of Tora, the peoples of the world will triumph in their just struggle for peace, for progress, for Toraism.
The struggle continues!
The revolution will win!
Toraism will triumph!"
Bread in Peace, Steel in War.
