when you're busy with exams, but still take a minute off to vote on a resolution in the league

Yes, but then you only get the tags that contain your username. If you are part of groups and the group name is tagged, you just get a tag notification without indication of how you were tagged, so then you have to search for each group of which you are part.

Nhoor wrote:To be honest I only used discord because some regions here at NS required it, but I quite dislike it. It's too chaotic to keep track if you have less than an hour per day to catch up.

I definitely agree that discord is chaotic, if you ask a question or try to plan something it can quickly get lost in the convo.
I've been trying do more nationbuilding stuff on the RMB rather then discord (hence yesterday's post) in part due to this and just because it looks as though the region is a lot less active than it is because of most of the activity is happening on the channel.

You can find them, both on mobile and desktop. If you were tagged with a @ or simply replied (with notification of it on), you just open a menu with @ and you can see the posts there and go to said post.

You should do the majority of your planning on NS site. Since not everyone uses discord that is courteous

You do know you can search for multiple things?

Segentova wrote:You do know you can search for multiple things?

Yes, but again, then I need to know how I was tagged, otherwise I don't know what to look for.

I'm not sure what this means. I don't get anything when I search for @

Found it, but I don't think it really helps though; I was tagged 26 times when I just entered Discord, but only one of those showed up in the inbox.

It saves the tags for 7 days. I don't know could it be that, but as someone who uses Discord actively, the mentions list works for me.

How would I make television and radio channels? Do you have any examples? Just curious.

Trugval wrote:How would I make television and radio channels? Do you have any examples? Just curious.

You just describe which channels there are, their themes (if any, such as sports, music, documentaries etc), famous anchorpeople, and if you are creative you can design their logos.

Mapmaking is good if you have a lot of spare times. One map done, and three hours have passed.

NOW my at a glance factbook is as done as it can be pre-map. I will now avoid the watching eyes of Nhoor so my WIPs don't get showcased until I think they're ready.

Keverai (NPC) updates courtesy of Ainslie.

As you may see in the news thread, President Renaut has implemented a new policy in order to improve development in Keverai's rural and regional areas. This is designed to open up these areas to international investment, development and ultimately to improve the region through making it a key manufacturing area for the Isles. (this also means more international interference) Feel free to telegram me and Keverai (for the sake of keeping records, since i update stuff on that account and that's where Keverai canon is) if you want to get involved in the program or you can see some of your businesses getting involved in it.

President Renaut of Keverai is likely to participate in some state visits - balnik, belantica are confirmed and aizcona probably isnt far away. If you're interested in meeting up with keverai's leadership out of benevolence, goodwill or for nefarious means or for a mix of those, let me know.

This factbook also gets regularly updated whenever someone does something new to/with Keverai. It's the one stop shop to learning everything going on in the NPC that concerns other nations.

Foreign Relations Register

This dispatch is strictly out-of-character and much of the knowledge here may not be known by your characters in-character. This is written for the benefit of knowing where your nation stands compared to others with Keverai in the Western Isles. From there, you can decide whether you want to build relations and try and compete with someone or simply go after different ways of collaborating or getting involved with the nation.

Bilateral Relationships

  • Rivals with Torom, although the present-day Renaut administration does not care for this all that much unless provoked.

  • Media from the nation of Xrevaro released material averse to the interests of the previous government, playing a role in the overthrowing of the Judicial Council of Keverai.

  • Media from the nation of Ostehaar released material averse to the interests of the previous government, playing a role in the overthrowing of the Judicial Council of Keverai.

  • One of the leaders from Townside met with President Renaut during the revolution, offering him personal support and advice. Renaut remains to be amicable with the Carlisles and they hold influence over him.

  • Renaut hosted Aprosia's (New aapelistan) President Hamenem for a state visit where they announced a regional development program for Keverai. An Aprosian business delegation accompanied them and showed interest in remodeling former sweatshops and turning them into modern manufacturing facilities - businesses included Zamanzá, MAC and Kadžáta. Increased integration between Aprosian diaspora in Keverai and Aprosia proper through community and cultural centres in progress.

  • Firefighters from The United Partitions assisted Keveraite forces to bring wildfires through extensive palm plantations in and around Leafy Valley under control. (this canon was previously done between Scantarbia and Keverai)

  • President Renaut visited Cour Rouge in Dormill and Stiura for Bastille Day and a unit from the Keveraite Presidential Guard also marched in the parade.

  • Dormill and Stiura has a spaceport near the city of Corsare, in Keverai.

  • Duinen, a territory of Dormill and Stiura, purchased a sizeable portion of land at the end of Imperial War One. Since then, they have developed it into a base with a helipad and an airfield where they base the 106th Regiment. It is north of Kertalin, on the east side of Mortimer Bay, overlooking Duinen's east coast.

Commercial Relationships

  • Businesses from the Alteran Republics: Over 45 outlets of Coffee Go Go in Keverai, large presence of PanIsle Petroleum. Kertalin suburban rail line runs Class 410 and 450s manufactured by Alteran Rail Locomotives. Keverai used Yellownorth Venoms during the First Imperial War.

  • Electronics businesses from Ostehaar: export to Keverai and also have set up factories within the territory.

  • Businesses from Ainslie: Muse Limited, Fortitude Conglomerated, Armex International, Nordox Pharmaceutical, Worksafe, MediEase all sell products to the Keverai domestic market. Reswen Cavane has been involved in safety upgrades on Keveraite roads such as duplicating the road between Kertalin and Kevere's Landing, performing maintenance on the road between Kertalin and Leafy Valley, and is due to complete the sealing of a new highway between Kertalin and Serratetl in February 2021.

  • Balnik keeps a third of its gold reserve within Keveraite territory. After an attack on the reserves, Balnik announced that it was removing the gold from Keveraite soil and pledged to take retaliatory action.

  • Aizconan industries actively engaged in the manufacturing industry.

  • Businesses from The Tsunterlands: S.K.E Industries has invested into Serratetl's port infrastructure as a part of Renaut's new flagship Open Eyes policy. TMSC from has agreed, with collaboration in a collaboration with the James Mission Institute also from that nation, to establish and assist in the operation of a new Serratetl Maritime Industries Technical College.

  • Party cruises for wealthy people regularly run between Kertalin and Urrezko Hiria, an island in Aizcona well known for its rave culture.

  • Keveraite Vice President Zinaren attended a trade summit in the Alteran Republics.

  • Aizcona and Keverai share a close relationship in the field of defence, with the former taking an active role in defending the latter since the times of Imperial War One. Many Keveraites, particularly those from disadvantaged rural backgrounds, join the Aizconan Defence Forces through the EAF (the unit that excepts foreign recruits) to serve Keverai and to improve their life circumstances. There are a few recruitment centres in the countryside which facilitate the introduction of Keveraites to the Aizconan Defence Force, as well as a smaller hub in Kertalin.

  • Najimam's Dar Cargo operates a hub in Serratatl

  • Planell, a luxury fashion house from The Rodaves has its headquarters in Kertalin, and a local Keveraite - Marine Gefrelo, is its Chief Executive Officer

  • Amak Naval Group from Najimam has a shipyard in Serratatl, Keverai.

  • Seaward Media from The Tsunterlands owns the main Keveraite media outlet, Darene Madara which it purchased in May 2023.

Clandestine Collaboration

Strictly out of character. Not in-character knowledge
  • Smugglers from Balnik use a Keveraite shell company, Nanotech Shipping and Transporting, to undertake their smuggling operations around the Isles. The companies are protected by Legion 500 and Henrite Security Services.

  • Courtesy of a deal made between the Hintere State Government and the Segentovan Government, without the knowledge of the Keveraite Government or President Renaut, Segentova's DRIS has been able to set up an underground black-site in the remote western side of Keverai near the Keverai-Salimanese (The United Partitions) border. This is used for enhanced interrogation and the handling of assets and is highly secret. It has existed in the nation for about eight years, with the autonomy and lack of communication between the state and federal governments allowing it to be established and kept out of President Renaut's knowledge.

  • Ever since 1971, Dormill and Stiura has had a black-site at the Demian Yumei-Tracey store in Corsare. This was approved by the now dissolved Judicial Council of Keverai, using its executive prerogative powers. Whilst President Renaut has suspicions and some level of knowledge about this facility, it is not clear to him the extent of the activities that are done there.

Read dispatch

Specific new things here though
- keverai-torom rivalry is revived
- segentova sets up a black-site (in keverai's history but still operating now) that for historical and political reasons the Keveraite President doesn't even know about - it's all handled with the state government concerned who has enjoyed the proceeds of not having much attention paid to it by the central government (although renaut is increasingly interested in that state)

There's also an overview factbook and a link to the thread where we talk about keverai specifically too.
