That was so easy I think I can officially classify myself as a master baiter

Gday.

Overwhelmed definitely, defeated yes, ass handed, not hardly. The third largest industrial power in the world, with 2.5 times the population takes four years to defeat what in today’s terms would be a third world nation, and suffered twice as many casualties doing it. Not hardly handing someone their ass.

But, I will say this, while I am proud to be a Southerner and I respect the Confederacy, more for the fact that I had six ancestors that fought for it, including one who was a black Freedman. The world is better off with one United States instead of two or more countries existing here. I wouldn’t trade my US citizen ship for anything. Not to mention, that many of the most important people in my life came from the north or west and I would have never known them.

Scandinavia and Australia.

High quality of life gang.

is that counting the slaves as three fifths of a person?

New aapelistan and Segentova

also I see confederate apologists still aren't counting the entire armies enveloped and disarmed as casualties, which is interesting.

looking at my regions factbook, and finding out a whole region got deleted somehow. Missing a large part of my population right there

German Empire was great until Wilhelm sacked Bismarck. Then it became slightly less great.

Talked about this with Segen. From what I know, the US only sped up the process. The Germans burned down their last shi* during the Kaiserschlaht

The US came in with a fresh mindset, not having been stuck in the trenches for 3 1/2 years. They offered advice and tactics that would have been considered unorthodox to the entente at the time. It was just nice to have a fresh mind look at it, rather than people still bashing their heads in against the wall. Without the USA, the war may have dragged on another year, two tops. Entente would still have won.

WW1 has never been a war that I really invested time into studying. Partially because Finland had a ton of stuff going on at the same time, not to mention Russia but yea. Basically still my point there, the US sped up the process, but the Entante would still have won.

You are well aware that by the end of the war, it was a frenchman commanding all the allied soldiers? Say what you will about Pershing, but he ain't got sh*t against Foch. The US was really just a tiebreaker.

What fresh tactics and advice was this? Their troops were woefully under-equipped, with no experience and literally plugged a few gaps in the line where the French and Flems were - not to mention they sat behind the lines for an age. Don't get me started on the Pedersen device - firing 9mm automatically from a rifle? 🤣
