Yeah sure

If Yeeting religion out of the window wont happen under communism then maybe i will be happy

That's just your personal opinion. Have you considered that there are people who think differently? How about giving them freedom to voice their opinions? Or does the freedom of speech only work for ideas you agree with?

(that is me playing the devil's advocate, not my views)

Syndicasia wrote:Just as long as the labor movement nationalizes all land (with religious property being no exception), bans all public funding for religion and does not let clergy deceive the proletariat, all good. You should still be able to go to church and practice your faith while celebrating your festivals

I mean governments shouldn't fund religions anyway.

Kreushia wrote:how do you make religion go away

here we reach another "how do you define religion" thing.
everyone has a faith in one way or another. science objectively does not explain everything. is that religion? why, why not?

One is a belief that the Earth wasn't created in a 1/∞26 chance event, and the other is an opinion that one race is superior to all others and must murder everyone else in a systemic genocide.
How are they comparable?

Kreushia wrote:how do you make religion go away

Maybe by "mysterious disapearing by men in black" or "reboot the brain with drugs and collectivised TV"

I think communists have a reasonable response to industrial society, but I think they are sincerely mislead in their beliefs, I am for a syndicalized economy but to attack the culture of our nation and the people's faith is entirely silly, the merchant class that exploits the worker hates both religion and culture as well

Khedivate-of-Egypt, saw fallout show?

"Devil's advocate" is almost always a dumb thing to do, because it can end with people trying to defend fascism. Oh wait.

Views on theocracy?

That they're both beliefs, and, by liberal logic, should be free to be believed and spread.

Kreushia wrote:how do you make religion go away

Religion is the sigh of an oppressed creature
Hence many are religious because of the misery, anxiety and alienation of capitalism. Religion gives them a sense of agency that they otherwise don't have. Therefore, economic transformation is necessary and religion would naturally be phased out as the social plan replaces the capitalist market, removing anxiety and alienation, and as such there is no oppressed creature to sigh. If people are not alienated from society, what use would they have for religion if they're provided a sense of agency through the social plan?

What show?

I was away from the Fallout fandom for a while

Do you support the eradication of fascism?

Evil cannot be eradicated. It can only be kept down.

Khedivate-of-Egypt wrote:Views on theocracy?

As a Catholic I see nothing wrong with it, if anything it serves to keep the government in check, and in turn the government helps the church in times of weakness

Altasund wrote:"Devil's advocate" is almost always a dumb thing to do, because it can end with people trying to defend fascism. Oh wait.

I am not defending fascism, but showing your hypocrisy.

Arctic Lands wrote:That they're both beliefs, and, by liberal logic, should be free to be believed and spread.

clearly not?
did you read the rmb?

Fascism anyways already achieved what it had to achieve...

Been considering getting back into chess, but I'll have to wait until I get a new computer to be able to play it. Because I play chess terribly on a phone, and my raspberry pi is so unstable at holding a connection to chess.com servers it makes it a hassle to play anything on there.

The same can be taken for Nazism... Does allowing people like that really support diversity?
Sorry, you play by TRR's rules in here :P

New poll!
