Need I remind you that Jesus was literally promoting THINKING and teached his students to THINK FOR THEMSELVES and not to let people manipulate them. Just because corrupt individuals use it to gather crowds of their supporters it doesn't mean that religion in itself is about it. You saying that Bible is promoting ignorance makes no sense considering what Jesus teached his students.

Your mistake is making the implication that all criminals who perpetrate gun crime are somehow expertly trained, capable of militaristic level marksmanship and speed. Just as organized crime members somehow are. But they're just people, like all of us. They don't all have a military background. This means we're all on equal footing, barring that background. We either live or die, rather than simply be caught defenseless and get shot down.

Yes, if you are criminal, except if you are one of the drugged morons, robbing small shops, then it is logical to be better with a gun than the average woman. Even so, even if you do have a gun, this doesn't mean that I can't ambush you behind the corner and kill you. Have you ever considered that the mere fact that everybody carries a gun, can escalate things even more? Because if you see a gun, you won't hesitate to use yours.

Just because you believe that socialism works it doesn't mean you will be a radical saying how dumb capitalists are while not listening to them while you say how superior it is. You still can discuss the whole topic, point flaws in both systems, say how you'll fix it and why you think it's better. Free thinking means you are ready to learn new things, experiences and being ready to exchange ideas while believing is thinking that something/someone is the best.

Like nowadays there is even a theory saying that Old and New testament were mixed together by mistake because christians were thought to be a judaist sect by Romans who in turn thought of New Testament as a sequel to the old one because guys who wanted to popularize it wanted to make it easier to understand. Like there are many differences between them especially how god is portrayed and that's why many believes don't include one or another. And the more popular response is that differences were created because completely different people wrote both of these texts.
