Consul of The Marama-Voix Isles James Voix gave a speech over a nationally televised broadcast earlier this morning accusing WA Inspector Sahid Shaw of attempting to plant evidence of human rights abuses for a WA Inspection. "The imperialist governments of the Old World only show us time and again their incapacity for change. For progress. We have been shackled to these middlemen - bureaucrats - for far too long. Now is the time for progress, dear countrymen. The time to negotiate and make deals, to endure temporary hardships for the sake of our liberty."
Consul Voix spoke on the subject for another thirty minutes while footage of the Isles' many landmarks played on the nations' collective seventy-eight billion screens. "If we were a religious country, martyred would be those plucky colonists who founded this little corner of the world with me. I remember days we were so sore that we negotiated the purchase of some seventy-five blocks of ice extra the first year just for our muscles. Those who have come since, blessed pilgrims of a dream of a nation to protect them. To aid other countries abroad with our security forces and to bolster civil liberties no matter the price. I ask you again to make another step with me."
Many Islesians were at first apprehensive to listen to the speech but after its middle point began to take to social media to show their support. "The economy may suffer, that is true. But that is temporary. I am a businessman by nature. You all know this. With your faith, your hard work, and my ability to sell the abundance of resources at our disposal, there is nothing we cannot accomplish. Let us cast off these dogmas of old and enter a new era of advancement together as Islesians, as dreamers."
Laura D'Moore, WA Inspection Board Spokeswoman, commented on the speech later that evening from Bigtopia. "The accusations of CEO James Voix have been heard and are being investigated. We refuse to comment on the investigation until the findings are formally reported. Further than that, the Marama-Voix Isles voluntarily resigned from the World Assembly before our Inspection of their commercial cloning facilities could begin."
The Marama-Voix Isles has a long-standing history of contesting its World Assembly Membership, having resigned previously before an attempted coup by the Executives of the Intelligence Department. After James Voix's victory he had negotiated for re-entry into the World Assembly. After only three months as a member, this resignation no doubt didn't shock the sophisticated and cynical inhabitants of the Isles. "As for the Inspection," Laura D'Moore remarked in her final comment on the matter, "The Assembly still looks forward to another chance at inspecting Mr. Voix's cloning facilities."
Left the WA for now.
