Or like the whole priDEMONth thing becoming a shirt sold to gay people. Being cast as a villain by the oppressor means that villainous symbols are symbols of resistance in a way, ig.

So, my assumption was right. Yeah, that was not at all what it meant, and the latter subject makes me cringe when they're not being political.

It's just like how the SS used the Devil in their song in real life, the VV includes Izeval here to emphasize how gritty the reality of war is.

On that topic, the Church has got to be the biggest symbol of resistance to Humanism. It got pretty messed up during the Empire days and its repression has only increased since Humanism's rise. Despite that, Alcatus Orthodox are still recognized and its branch in Zokria is still supported.

Kowalski and MMK have had a busy year. Both of them seen major changes in their personal and professional lives. MMK's son Paul has recently gotten married and Kowalski has come of age. Since the end of the war, tensions have been high. Both of them regularly took trips to and from Mustva meeting with its acting Prime Minister trying to return to normalcy. Then there was the situation in Skilia. Many alcatus were eager to return home and many alcynus were eager for the alcatus to leave Skilia, leading to occasional clashes. The situation between both countries and their respective groups have taken a physical and mental toll on both Kahane and Kowalski.

During these times MMK really missed Nowak, not only because he was a capable leader, but also because Nowak gave Kahane invaluable advice during dire times. Nowak was Kahane's best friend and one of the main reasons why he made certain decisions as a leader. It had also been a while since he has spoken with *Archdolphop Snow. Snow... The two had an awkward relationship. Ever since their first meeting they have argued every time they have met. Yet, MMK had to be grateful to Snow. She has helped both Mustva and Skilia grow as nations. She's one of the largest supporters for nonite rights in the world. She helped him and Nowak on a few missions. Most importantly she saved his life and gave him a cool magic hand(that he still doesn't know how to use). Since then, most of his negative feelings towards Snow have ceased. Yes, the two had a complicated relationship, but she was still someone very important to him.

Another important relationship MMK had was with Kowalski. Kowalski's a great admirer of both Kahane and Nowak with an aspiration to become the President of Skilia. Kahane recognizes some similarities between Kowalski and himself when he was younger, expect Kowalski is a bit more... abrasive. Kahane has tried his best to advise the young alcynus on how to talk to Snow to some success, yet he still knew that the two would continue to butt heads.

Kowalski's also grateful to Snow, but is a little nervous around her due to her being the size of a house and carrying a dislike for him. Nevertheless, he does his best to maintain a good relationship between Skilia and Brethren at the very least. One such effort lead to him offering Snow and the other dragons a refuge from the radiation in Brethren. Both MMK and Kowalski hope that soon their worries about everything, Skilia, Mustva, Brethren, and Snow, will all be solved soon.

1. Not my best work, but I think it's alright for someone who hasn't RPed in a while
2. "Unstable Bastard"? I prefer, Volatile Activist.

The dragons land outside a . . . government building? Courthouse? It has a big lawn. That's what matters.

Snow fusses over the rest, of course: touching them lightly with her face and tail, checking the air for any scent of over-exertion. No one comments on her looking the closest to collapse; they're Furies. They understand that the fussing is what keeps her on her feet at all.

After the fussing has concluded, they stand in nervous silence for a moment and Oak hazards, softly, They have seen us, right?

Restoration of Eastern Kaiserreich wrote:Calvin Sharp will be leading a partisan group made of former Humanist servicemen who've defected over the years. He himself is an example of this.

Jedediah will be an Orthodox priest sent to the Wildlands for his duties. Despite persecution and fifty years of Humanism, the Easunian Ourou Orthodox Church still recognizes its non-Human followers, and supports the Zokrian branch.

The struggle between the Humanists and the Church will be an important part of this story.

I think that's a good thing, given the long history that religious organizations have in supporting authoritarian regimes.

From the experience of living in Latin America, where the Catholic Church is the predominant and most influential church, mainly in the most rural areas. The church supported the regime according to what privileges they had in the new government, and their weight in the peasant and middle-class minds made a mass resistant to regime change. A very special case was the Archbishopric of Santiago and Pinochet, relations were tense because the church continued to defend human rights.

“Here you are”

They team looks around for signs of damage and as they go deeper into the ship they find a sealed bulkhead and the debate weather or not to open it

On the other side Chorzawski and some other members on the Unia’s damage control team are sitting atop large crates to stay out of the flood water

Homo Felis- Scientific
Neki - Slur
Nekomimi - Might be a regional term
Nonite- Refers to nonhumans in general but mostly applies to alcatus and alcynus
Alcatus - Western term, also used by Mustva and Skilia

At least, that's how I see it.

Nope. Malicious quote editing is... malicious and meant to get someone in trouble. As long as it is clear that you are joking you should be fine for the most part.

Summary

Welcome to the East Pacific! We are one of the oldest regions out there, with 20 years of experience. We have a lot to offer, including two current tech roleplays and an accessible legislature and executive.

You are reading STEP, The East's guide to NationStates. Each dispatch contains a summary and then more detailed explanations, including screenshots and detailed insights from our experienced players. If you're new, we recommend reading every dispatch in order, but you can also read them independently of one another.

You have either been founded in a frontier or a feeder, two types of regions which accept new nations. If you find yourself in the East Pacific, please read this guide! If you aren't in the East Pacific, go to The East Pacific and scroll down until you see "Move [YOUR NATION] to the East Pacific."

You'll be seeing a lot of recruitment Telegrams, which can get spammy and annoying pretty quickly. To disable recruitment telegrams, head to Settings > Telegrams > Preferences > Block All under "Recruitment".

Nations receive issues once every six hours. Some issues spawn card packs, which contain cards ranked by rarity that you can retain, trade or sell.

Introduction

Hello and welcome to NationStates, and the East Pacific. You are currently reading STEP, our guide designed to get you jump started in the game. If you're like other newbies, you'll probably have many questions about how everything works. This guide, lovingly written by our hospitality team, is designed to answer all of your questions, and more. If you want to get a quick summary of things and then get launched into things, you will get the jist of things by reading the summaries on top of these dispatches, however our dispatches aim to be short and accessible while also going into enough detail, so we recommend you read them in full.

If you have any questions, we have multiple government members that are willing to answer them! Feel free to ask on the regional message board, or telegram our Delegate, they will be happy to answer any question you might have!

The East Pacific is one of five feeder regions who share fifty percent of all new spawns, with the other fifty percent going to frontiers, regions founded by users which also accept new nations, trading guaranteed security for the privilege. If you've let your nation go inactive and Cease to Exist, and then logged back in, you have likely spawned in one of three restorer regions, which are designed to rehabilitate nations that have returned after a brief period of absence.

If you're reading this, it is likely that you have been founded in the East Pacific, however, if you haven't you are still more than welcome to join, and we would love to have you on board. To move, you should go to the East Pacific's regional page, scroll down until you see the Move [YOUR NATION] to the East Pacific and then click on it.

The East Pacific is an active democracy, and participation can be enjoyed by all that seek to contribute in good faith. If you're interested in joining, STEPs Three onwards will take you through applying to the East Pacific.

Telegrams

Many regions send you automated recruitment telegrams in an attempt to get you to join their region. There are a lot of these, and it can get spammy and overwhelming fast. Thankfully, NationStates has given you a way to block Telegrams you don't want. To do this, you need to click on the settings button, which is usually found in the top bar of the page.

If you then scroll down to telegrams and go to preferences, you'll see a grid which looks something like this:

Our recommended settings are as follows, however, you are free to choose whatever you want. "Allow Some" occasionally allows telegrams in, and "Allow Most" blocks some. If you click the "block all" for recruitment, your nation will stop receiving the large volume of recruitment telegrams. Keep in mind that your inbox can only hold twenty telegrams.

Issues and Cards

Issues are problems that you need to handle, and they impact your nations statistics and rankings abroad. Initially you get a higher rate of issues like normal, however, once you've played the game for a while, you only get one issue every six hours. As long as you abide by general decorum, the East Pacific does not penalise you for the way you answer issues - we're a big community, and your type of nation reflects that.

There is no "correct" way to answer issues, only the way that you want to. Every issue changes your statistics, and some might change your national policy. If you want to, there are websites such as this Linkone that give you the general trend in issue outcomes, however using these aren't necessary and you should only do it if you find it fun!

Issues sometimes generate cards. Cards are minted irregularly and are a snapshot of a nation, divided into various classes of rarity, from common to legendary. Cards can be bought, sold and traded on the market.
