The Senate of AmeriCo has voted 273 to 27 to adopt the Nonite Rights Act with support from both the Libertarian and Conservative parties with political pundits calling the move one of the most powerful bipartisan political actions in AmeriCo’s history. The bill, sponsored by James Anderson(C) of New Texas and Tim Walker(L) of New California had been in the making for weeks before being put to vote just today. Proponents of the bill say that the Nonite Rights Act will help protect the rights of Nonites in a turbulent world as well as making AmeriCo a more tolerant society.
The Act has been approved by the Board 11-0 and the President, Peter Smith, says he would be willing to sign the Act into law.
