If it ain't Aretha I'm not bending at the knee
Me: I'm very afraid of pills.
Doctor: Mhmm.
Me: I think I have enough pills.
Doctor: Right.
Me: This is a good amount of pills.
Doctor: BUT WHAT ABOUT HAVING MORE AND STRONGER PILLS
Me: I think we have reached a miscommunication here.
Can I get your doctor's digits
"You can't go on Amrix too, Cassandra. You'll die, Cassandra. Have you tried vibration therapy, Cassandra."
My doctor's a spoilsport.
What about Dr Jinx
I have no idea what that is but if I mention it I'm guessing she'll prescribe a year's worth before I finish the sentence.
Flexeril they give you here, its the Valium they get whiney about
Five simple words: I get nervous on flights
It won't get you very far right now, of course
The head of the Football Association managed, in 15 minutes of testimony to a government committee, to insult, offend, or denigrate black people, South Asians, women, and gay men, and has now resigned merely 5 hours later. It's spectacular career harikiri.
Well, they certainly efficiently summed up the nature of their business then.
What's funny about it is he clearly wasn't trying to be offensive; if anything, it was the opposite. He pointed out the fact that there are more South Asians than afro-caribbeans in the FA's IT department to try and explain their lack of representation in the elite sport.
Or by saying that if gay men wanted the lifestyle choice of being gay footballers they should be supported.
"Clarke said he was "deeply saddened" for the offence he had caused by using the term "coloured footballers".
The comments came as he was talking about the racist abuse of players by trolls on social media to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) select committee via video link.
Clarke said his words were a "disservice to our game".
He prompted further criticism when referring to gay players making a "life choice" and a coach telling him young female players did not like having the ball hit hard at them.
He also said there were "a lot more South Asians than there are Afro-Caribbeans" in the FA's IT department because "they have different career interests"
I can see the spin in these words but hard lol
It's not the first time he's made some weird remarks about racism in football.
There was a case a few years ago where the manager of the women's national team was alleged to have asked a player of Nigerian descent if she could make sure her relatives wouldn't bring ebola to the stadium, and then the player liaison officer and the team director of football tried to cover it up and pay her off - Eni Aluko was a barrister before women's football became professional so that went as well as you'd expect.
The players' union wrote to Greg Clarke to see what he would do about it and his response was "I’ve no idea why you are sending me this. Perhaps you could enlighten me"
That was literally all his email response said.
I bought an Xbox One on eBay last week. It's being couriered by Hermes.
It's literally in the hands of God now.
And let's just say that this particular deity is fond of losing His way.
He better not try and throw it onto my roof cause he really will be lost then
I understand wanting to remove a hateful bigot from a position of power over others. But should we be chasing out the clueless?
I hope not, I'd be in such trouble.
If we do so, I can shelter Alicia Silverstone.
If they're bad at the job and ignorant than I'd say so, yes. And Clarke was useless.
Clueless not because of the film of that name, but because she said yes to Batman & Robin.
Yeah, Clooney, Thurman and Arnold, I came for all of you!!!
Woah! You're out for blood today. I approve :)
If you view it as a parody/pastiche of superhero films it's actually very good.
And I stand by Schwarzenegger's performance. The man had heart.
Hey, I love that film. I'm actually particularly happy with Clooney's performance because it follows really well from Val Kilmer Batman's arc in the previous film. It's one of Arnold's flatter performances though in my opinion and Uma... Uma I so want to love you but then you do this.
You're on my territory now, boy, don't think you can teach me. <3
"Pretty redhead erotically dances in skin tight green lycra" is pretty much all I remember of Thurman from that filem
I should watch that film.
