In the Apostian Fronteir

Under Joint Command, The Soviet Melonia 1st Field Army with Fredmentonian Drone support engages towards Fort Fontoros. A massive swath of artillery leads the line, along with a countless number of troops engaging through the jungle. After several days of trekking they engage in distance the the Atacama core. Suddenly, as the jet pack troops begin to rise, tank blasts that should be higher than possible begin percisely hitting the jetpack troops as the Army begins trenching and building long term encampments. Lone guerilla groups begin attacking supply lines quickly before fleeing.

As the Melonian Troops begin to build Fort Fontoros further, they hear the nearby hills come alive - massive barrages of Artillery and machine guns opening up on the presently exposed troops and equipment, in tandem with a massive barrage of bombs that appear to drop out of nowhere - destroying much of the exposed, slow, and fragile artillery. Officers attempting to restore order to the camp are quickly picked off by unchecked Apostian Guerilla teams who were allowed to roam the Jungle - something they now take advantage of to cut any supply lines between those attempting a siege and the Fredmentonian troops left undeployed.

Suddenly it appears as if the tanks begin flying as they begin flying due south and then around the back of the hills, and begin percisely striking the artillery from several sides. Blasts hit these "flying tanks" but go right through them. Then, the geurillas begin to notice that several of their shots begin shooting directly through troops. In their confusion, Melonian forms a line, a 3 sided line with guerillas in the Southeast to fight any potential Apostian guerillas. Fredmenton troops begin moving, as guerillas begin fighting over supply lines. It appears that all movement of goods has vanished completely, and now simply a few old, destroyed tanks remain under Melon control. As the hill attacks continue, the temporarily stunned artillery are flanked now by climbing soldiers who begin to fight fiercly with "flying tank" support and take the artillery area, and prevent much more attack. One surge into the Fort is met with fierce gunfire, causing quick retreat back to the baseline. Underground barracks are being dug rather quickly, as cement drying appears to be the largest delay. Apostian Guerillas are challenged by MelonFred Geurillas, who begin surrounding them in swamps so they are forced down low and in the open as swamp clearing begins. A second, much more grandiose siege is seen being prepared by the swaths of soldiers.

As MF guerillas surge to counter Apostian irregulars, they find the majority of themselves speared, impaled, crushed, and generally deadified by the many, many traps laid throughout the Jungle - causing confusion our own guerillas use to eliminate the stragglers and continue their systematic destruction of officers.

Seeing use of some kind of Illusionary tech, Apostian troops switch to using thermal vision as planes drop smoke bombs on the battlefield - obscuring the vision of MF troops and possibly distorting holograms while our boys use the temporary blindness to mow down the men who decided charging at a fortified position is a great idea. While any exposed artillery may have been taken, that turns out to be but a fraction of our total count - the vast majority of our artillery continues to fire, being protected by trenches, bunkers, and earth.

The Fredmentonian armor enroute to join the fight has come under mass fire on multiple sides - destroying much of the armor before there's any chance to respond. Spotters report a few scattered tanks, but nothing easily visible that could cause such damage.

On the Fredmentonian side of things, a first dose of VIG (Vision Imparing Gas) is let out as the tanks clear a path for the ATV rollers, 20k of which begin surrounding the outside. They begin a fierce assault on the Jetpack troops. The light strike drones continue to pick Jet Pack troopers out of the sky. As the gas thickens, soldiers with the proper eyewear begin heavily assaulting the Apostian tanks as they continue to push forward.

As for the main engagement up North, the flying tanks begin moving to the area of the failed invasion and offering arial support. As for the gas, it blinds soldiers but not the holograms which seem to hold their ground. Bunkers beginning to be completed, many troops begin huddling in them as a wall of earth and rock is being built up. The flying tanks after securing the retreat. Guerillas are stopped as the traps are seen, and air strikes of the guerillas of Apost are now peltered with drone strikes. Several guerillas march towards them engaging in fire and drawing them towards the Fredmentonian line, in which they are prompty eliminated, as these ghost geurillas lead some Apostian ones directly into a trap. Heat goggles are put on during the smoke attack. As the flying tanks land, it appears MF is waiting for their next move as they continue to fortify. However the walls of the Apostian trenches begin to blow up, as several troops nearby in the push were able to dig in the smoke and confusion under the brush and use explosives to dig a small tunnel to the trench line. THese troops take a few shots into the chaos, cause a few more explosions, and run and are grabbed by seemingly invisible drones, that are cloaked as guns that are flaoting. The floating guns take these men under the jungle brush and allow a swift retreat, and a damaged trench and artillery base. Tanks begin coming back out to strike the walls of the trenches and barracks, causing a collapse.

Unfortunately for the Fredmentonians, there are no Jetpack troopers present - in shooting at an empty sky, they've left themselves open agaiin, leading to another significant fraction of destroyed armor. The few Apostian tanks present, being merely scouts, retreat over the top of some nearby hills.

While the damage to the trenches... exists, engineers quickly repair barriers and destroy tunnels in time for the next assault to begin.
Some of the drones escorting the guerillas out managed to be shot down in the cramped tunnel - before the tunnel is re-sealed, they're taken for study. More firing begins from the trenches at MF personnel, though less heavy than before.

Apostian Guerillas retreat into thicker parts of the Jungle - some hunt down MF Guerilla stragglers, while others continue to snipe at important MF personnel on the battlefield. Only a few of each really remain by this point, though they've all likely reached the safety of the bunkers by now.

Due to agreement by the parties, part about the drone distraction on the Fredmenton front is redacted. The Apostian retreat allows Fredmenton to continue their movement, with ATV scouts with a small tank backing monitoring them.

Back in the mainstay of the war, the goal of the trench attack was some artillery damage, which was accomplished. The generals are now safely in the barracks which are continously re-enforced from attack and have troops monitoring any tunnels for a similar attack. A batallion of tank drones moves to the start of one tunnel and begins dumping high explosive and a large dose of kerosine that is lit, setting that fraction of the trench on fire. During the chaos, hidden soldiers begin striking more artillery. This attack occurs similiarly in several spots, as several trees are also chopped down, tied to drones, lit ablaze to create smoke and cause poor aiming, and dropped randomly on the trenches. Underground mines placed in the original assault create a chain reaction that pushes dirt into the trench, filling it a bit and causing another strike on artillery in the chaos. Troops always end by retreating to the barrack and trenches of MF.

The fire is quickly put out and the tank drone destroyed during the MF retreat, as is normal. What is not normal, however, is the Electromagnetic pulse emanating from inside of the Apostian defenses that's presently frying any electronic devices across the battlefield - including all those Fredmentonian drones, tanks, holograms, and likely their guns too. The Apostian lines, however, continue to fire - having been equipped with older, simpler weapons able to survive such a blast. A messenger emerges from the bunker to speak to the highest-ranking MF officer still alive, and Apostian guns go silent.

Soldiers are supplied with older style guns from the supply line and fortify the encampment. Most MFers go into the new Barrack and wait as the Fredmentonian wave will arrive, as this will continue tomorrow.

ngl cant wait for June 12th when I can give my time to this again.

Fredmenton crosses the trench and bunker line. The General asks for ceasefire and goes to the Apostian line to talk to the Generals for Fredmenton to state their goals. They will not advance unless there is ceasefire and will use speakers to get their message across. This is if the Apostian force agrees.
