I renamed my body of water Dominion Lake. Still a tribute to the defunct Swedish Dominions, and more fitting for Ishgar.
Another point of order: We could use a name for the border lake between Ishgar and New Freedomstan. Any ideas?

Essonne is sad to report that Governor of Livorne, François de Villiers has been assassinated. Reports seem suggest that the assassination was carried out by members of the Front patriotique Livornois (FPL, or Patroitic Front of Livorne), who desire to see Livorne's colonial bond to Essonne fully severed and the substancial autonomy replaced with full independence. Essonne will be moving a battalion of Marines to Elbe. We do believe this situation to be precarious, but a battalion of Grand Ducal Marines are being dispatched to the capital of Livorne to keep things under control. A new Governor will be appointed and fresh elections called in hopes to calm the situation. At this time we are formally branding the FPL as a terrorist organization. We hope our fellow nations in Paradoxia will not give shelter to these terrorists and recognize that this is purely an internal affair between Essonne and Livorne.
I got an issue in Livorne with an (attempted) assassination on the leader. It's a colony, though... so I figure it'd be the Governor and I figured it could be successful, to stir up a little interest in Paradoxia. ;)

Maltropia condemns the FPL for its violent actions in moving for independence. While we approve of a desire for sovereignty, the methods taken by the Livornois are very questionable and inhumane.
The Kingdom of Peace condemns the FPL for the assassination of the Governor of Livorne, however we call upon the Essonnen Government to seek a referendum on the status of Livorne.
New Freedomstan supports the self-determination of nations, including that of Livorne. Essonne should let their colonial empire go, as evidently the population of Livorne is not satisfied with being a fief of a Grand Duchy! New Freedomstan extends moral support to the people of Livorne.
Ishgar's considerable naval force is moving down the Victoria sea to the coasts of Livorne. This is merely a defensive maneuver. Essone's troops are drawing dangerously close to Ishgarian territory.

Crawnaft condemns the recent incident in Livorne. We too support the self-determination of nations, but we don't believe a referendum would be wise at this point in time with the FPL so active and violent in Livorne.

Also, I did a bit of the History.
Paradoxia, was once a vast land filled with warring tribes, that fought for food and shelter. As time went by, the needs became territory and resources. Nations emerged on the continent, strong conquering the weak, the powerful civilizations winning out in the end.
The nation of Ishgar emerged on the Western most of the Paradoxian landmass.
Once Ishgar formed, she embarked on a quest to rule all of Paradoxia, reaching the river ________, annexing nearly 4 nations, and grew to be the largest, most powerful nation on Paradoxia. However, reaching the (River), she was stopped by the combined forces of the Communist Freedomstan, and the two democracies, the Kingdom of Peace and the Kingdom of Maltropia. To this very day, the borders of Western Paradoxia are some of the most guarded, and danger-ridden in Paradoxia. After stopping and realizing an Invasion of Ishgar would be utter suicide, the Great Western Paradoxian Alliance collapsed, ideology to great a issue for any compromise. The aftermath saw Maltropia and the Kingdom of Peace form the WPTO, or the Western Paradoxian Treaty Organization. (Subject to Approval: Need Approval by the way Maltropia:)
Freedomstan and Ishgar started liberation movements in the 1960s, which still are rumored to exist today.

Ishgar is featured, well, due to the simple fact that its so important in Paradoxia. Besides, I don't remember jack about Eastern Paradoxia.
