Chanticleer

The Revolution burns bright in Anise! Thanks to the stunning efforts Nabil bin Kareem al Bunnirti the yoke of monarchy was cast off in The First Containment War in 1793 after sailing saboteurs past the Grand Anisean walls and opening the gates, swiftly defeating the Royal Army. The Revolutionary flag was raised over the palace while the Grand Duchess and her family were arrested and Nabil proclaimed the new Vínfalov-Meylean Republic. After the Treaties of Amestris and Kopenwald the Vínfalov-Meylean Republic was solidly a follower of the Revolutionary ideals. Parades and speeches were conducted by the First Lord President of Vínfalov-Meyle Adonis tou Adirondack-Bunbirti.

But to most of the citizens partaking in the parades and cheering at President Adonis's speeches atop the Presidential Palace, he was an imposter sitting in a stolen home. While the true ruler was housed in a simple house in Old Town. Their freedoms were clamped down, business ventures were cut off, and the typical personal freedoms most Rootbeerians enjoyed were ironically hindered, or blocked behind some bureaucracy. Despite this, the Republic remains very wealthy thanks to the large gold reserves of the Great families and a higher average standard of living compared to the rest of the continent. But as more countries begin restricting trade, so too will the busy port of Anise be affected. As Nabil bin Kareem al Bunbirti seems to not be tired of his conquests only time will tell if the small Republic can survive.

Also I just realized we forgot to set a word for the RP. For those newbies whenever we do an RP we like to tag it with a unique word that we can search up in order to better find all the RP posts here.

I'd propose the word Chanticleer (iykyk)

Nabilic RP - Introductory post of the Spezian League
Chanticleer (Just in case we're rolling with that one)

A little over 20 years has passed since the last foreign incursion into Spezian territory, yet much has changed. The reigning K’van Ghmerttane Ioragebulisuri, who personally led the K’vandari to a resounding victory against the invading Nyzhkian expedition into the Southern Montealban mountains, has passed away at his favorite homestead in the Southern Heartlands. The new heir to the title of K’van is his grandson, Distmindrats' Ghmert'anuri, who at the age of 26 is neither a young man nor an experienced veteran in the fields of statesmanship. His lack of special qualities did not go unnoticed by his advisors and the patriarchs of the ruling K’vandari mountain clans. It did not take them long to come to the conclusion, that their new K’van will be an irrelevant figurehead at best, and a minor annoyance at worst.

What – or better yet, Who - does worry them is K’vanenika Salokine Trughsvaturi, the wife of K’van Distmindrats'. Like every K’vanenika before her, she too descends from one of the various ruling mountain clans, which form the de-facto nobility of the Southern Mountain realm. While they were acclaimed in both piety to Ozbekh and Akzana and in valor on the battlefield, her clan, the Trughsvaturids, suffered more than any other from what fate had in store for them. Almost every male member of this most unfortunate family spilled their blood for Spezian sovereignty. Her father, brothers, cousins, uncles, and friends – through Nyzhkovite hands Salokine lost them all. It is said that after the last male heir to the Trughsvaturid clan perished, Salokine swore to Ozbekh and Akzana her eternal hatred and enmity against the Nyzhkians. Such disdain towards the Eastern Empire is definitely unusual, yet not that uncommon among the wild tribes of the Montealban Mountains, and usually the K’vanenika is expected to act as her husbands closest confidante, but the remaining advisors fear that her influence could lead Distmindrats’ to make a rash and fatal decision, dragging the entirety of the Spezian League into an unwinnable conflict.

Unaware of his vassals and subjects’ expectations of him, the K’van remains determined to manifest his rule as a memorable event in Spezian history. But how? Spezia still considers herself able to fulfill her destiny as the queen of the Southern Mountains, but the western frontier is riddled with the bandit hordes of the Drabrenaisar, outlaws removed from the greater Spezian tribal community for their severe transgressions against its honor codex. And while the K’van is brooding about how to proceed, his beloved K’vanenika continues whispering sweet promises into his ears, about what can and will be, if only he were to move to battle against the Nyzhkovites…
