OUTBREAK OF NEW ILLNESS IN INDIA
A deadly new virus has been classified as PNDCH-34 after several virologists confirmed the outbreak was of a new pathogen. The virus is believed to have originated from an illegal fish market in Pondicherry and has spread nationwide to cities such as Goa, Bengaluru, Madurai and Mumbai. There are over 900 cases and 3 attributed deaths, and the city of Pondicherry has gone into partial lockdown. Air South India has restricted all flights, requiring face masks and proof of health. There is believed to be 3 cases in Northern Sri Lanka and two in Kolkata, and the South Indian Board of Health advises all world leaders to stay calm and prepare for the inevitability that PNDCH-34 spreads to your nation.
To the citizens of South India: Do not believe in what has been dubbed "Quack Cures" on the internet, there are no known vaccines or remedies that treat PNDCH-34 due to how recently the virus was discovered. Stay home, stay safe, and wear your mask, available in stores and from Town Halls. Social distancing is to be followed to minimise the spread of the virus. Buses and trains will be prioritised for medical manpower and equipment.

Today, a Hotel in Freeside, Vantier's 3rd most populous city, has quarantined 53 of its guests for having tested positive in PNDCH-34. The guests, all of them from Vantier, apparently had "very close contact" with Indian tourists. Yesterday, a 16 year-old girl who worked as a bartender for the Indian tourists died due to complications related to PNDCH-34, raising the alarm. The tourists left unidentified before they could be held accountable. However, the disease is likely to spread rapidly in Freeside. The city is famous for its wild parties, casinos, drug abuse, prostitution and for being Vantier's international tourist hotspot, thanks to how easy it is to find illegal substances, prostitutes and other highly illegal things, which are very rare anywhere else. The Vantierian government has asked the city to conduct an investigation in order to detect more cases, but the local government is unwilling to do so, fearing a decline in tourism. The Hotel is the only entity who has willingly done anything about this, but it is very likely the situation will worsen anyways. Hospitals in Freeside haven't noticed an increase in the influx of patients. They were crowded before, due to the particularly low health care quality in this city, and are still crowded, so nothing new.

> Leisure travel is strongly discouraged. The prime minister discouraged traveling to work unless strictly necessary and encouraged avoiding public transport if possible, as well as avoiding crowded places.
> People are requested not to visit others in institutions with vulnerable groups (the elderly, psychiatry, prison, etc.) and generally encouraged to limiting close contact with others.
> The public transport schedule is to run as normal, to ensure that people with critical social functions could get to and from work and be able to distance themselves from each other.
> Wear medical mask at all times if you are in the public and wash your hands at any given chance.
"We cannot underestimate the risk of this virus", says the prime minister. Though, some journalists criticise the prime minister approach to the virus, saying it's still unnecessary, and pointing out that such "ridiculously strict" measures was taken by the prime minister too early because he simply feared losing his position in the upcoming election if he failed to overcome the virus by the time election is coming.

7,000 more people are infected and unfortunately 91 more people have died directly to PNDCH-34 in Bengaluru and Pondicherry. The chances of Stage 3 and therefore the death rate has been raised to an estaimation of 1.7% as well.
This was posted on their social media accounts, as they pledged to do so last *******.
And for more news about the pandemic, here is the new laws on-screen read by Alish Shikani passed by the Government this morning. Please read this following announcement ladies and gentlemen, there can be legal repercussions if you don't realise there are new laws, as you may break the law unknowingly.
NEW LAWS BY THE SOUTH INDIAN GOVERNMENT IN COORDINATION WITH LOCAL PROVINCES 1) If you are a resident or have business in the following cities: GOA (GOA PROV), HYDERABAD (HYDERABAD PROV), PONDICHERRY (PONDICHERRY PROV.) , MADRAS (PONDICHERRY PROV.) , MADURAI (TAMIL PROV.) , BENGALURU (NORTH BENGALURU PROV. & SOUTH BENGALURU PROV.), MUMBAI (MUMBAI PROV.) OR PUNE (MUMBAI PROV.), your city is under immediate total lockdown due to cases exceeding 1,000 cases. This means that all public transport (buses, trains, metro etc) are disabled, you are guided to wear a face mask outside your house (and people are allowed to block entry without a proper face mask), wash your hands frequently and test yourself with the new PNDCH-34 testing kits. Parks and public events will be closed, and businesses will be persuaded to switch to a "work at home" ethic. 2) The 7-member "Bubble" rule is now revised to 6, affecting everywhere but Pondicherry which had this in effect already. If anyone in your bubble shows signs of infection, you are required by law to self-isolate for 14 days. 3) The nation's medical scientists will work on a cure over anything else. 4) Hospitals are likely to be overwhelmed. Please only call **** if you are 100% sure you have PNDCH-34. Use a testing kit to help you out. 5) Sporting events in the country like the South Indian Association Football League will be behind closed doors (no fans), and all players must test negative for PNDCH-34. The government will refund tickets, go to www.SouthIndiaSportRefund.sou to claim yours. Abuse of this will result in a 100,000₹ fine. This website expires in 50 days.
Anyone seen breaking regulation can be fined 40,000₹ if proven guilty, with heavier fines and jail time for repeat offenders.
And no, Jambi Shriyan is not sick. Despite numerous social media accounts and tabloids reporting of Shriyan's infection, a spokesperson of Shriyan has confirmed the prime minister is healthy.
Thank you for tuning into News at Tea. We wish everyone a safe journey through this unpredictable time. And now for the next program I'm sure a lot of you are looking forward to, it's the first match in the SIAFL behind closed doors, it's local bitter rivals Bengaluru City playing against AFC Bengaluru at their stadium, Green Peacock Lane, and the two title contenders are neck and neck in the table...

Homeless people take them somewhere more private and proceed to eat them, even before the relatives of the victims were notified of the death of their loved one. It's sickening , even for Vantierian standards. Nurses are working 8 extra hours every day, and people keep dying anyways. The psychological impact on them is massive, with many nurses being diagnosed with anxiety and depression.
Still, Freeside refuses to implement any anti-PNDCH-34 measures, and the city is starting to collapse. The rest of Vantier, especially Ampuries, is considering a total lockdown of the country or, at the very least, the cities. Everyone must wear a face mask and wash their hands with alcohol before entering any public place, including buses, hospitals or schools. Schwarzenberg has apologized for "how badly everything has gone" and he "accepts full responsibility for how awfully PNDCH-34 has been handled in Vantier". Freeside's government has criticized Schwarzenberg for "taking this communist nonsense seriously" and for "becoming a victim of communist propaganda". Freeside's population is nearly 80% black and 10% Indian, meaning that only 10% of the population has had political rights until very recently and as such, Freeside's government is very conservative (it is the only major city ruled by the National Party, and where the National Front is more active and relevant).
Many private labs have begun developing a Vantierian vaccine for PNDCH-34, now that the virus is considered an actual threat for most. However, the Vantierian government has offered foreign labs and governments (Skelleftella ) financial support for the development of their own vaccines, in order to help them put an end to this disease as soon as possible.
