Musainon, Capital of the Biggonian province of Domlandia

Abul Kaan sat at his desk in the military headquarters of Domlandia. His office was quite spacious, and had a window overlooking the Domlandian Assembly. The Domlandian Assembly was one of the few remnants of the old Domlandian Republic, which had remained in place after the Biggonian invasion in 1997. Abul still remembered the day when Biggonian tanks rolled down the street and the flag was raised over the assembly building. Abul had been much younger all those years ago, however he had still wanted to join the military. Whilst serving Biggonia was not what he had imagined, Abul now had a comfortable job and was well respected by many in Biggonia, being seen as the ideal Domlandian- competent and submissive.

Pouring over the reports on his desk, Abul got to work. Recently, there had been a spike in attacks by the Domlandian resistance movements. Convoys had been ambushed, bases had been overrun, and armoured vehicles stolen. Still, this didn't seem too out of the ordinary. Spikes in resistance activity were not uncommon, and with the civil war going on in the other side of Biggonia, the ever-opportunistic rebels simply seemed to want to get in on the action. In fact, privately Abul Kaan was sympathetic to the idea of Domlandian independence, or at least greater autonomy. Abul fundamentally disagreed with the rebels however- violence would only lead to more massacres and a tighter grip. Abul thought that if Domlandia shows it's value as a loyal part of the wider Empire, then they will be given the same status as the other provinces.

Bringing himself back to the reports, Abul noticed one about a small village where a small cell would frequently hide in to blend in from the authorities. Abul checked that the door was firmly closed, and that the security camera in his room was off, before tossing it into the fireplace. It was inefficient, yes, but many Domlandian officers who found themselves in Biggonian service agreed with this action- it was only a handful of rebels, and if this reached the wrong person then it's likely the entire village would be burnt down and the population massacred. Abul's eyes lit upon something minor. A strange, out of focus, satellite photo, which appears to have been taken only a few days ago. Normally this would be immediately dismissed, but it showed something quite shocking. To Abul, it seemed like a large massing of military power, directly outside the Domalandian capital of Musainon. Who's soldiers these were, Abul had no idea.

Capital Square, City of Tulska, Relykstrana
12 June, 2022. 0800, Local Time
It was time to make their voices heard.
Time to take a stand.
The government of Relykstrana had, since the fall of the Communist regime in '53, maintained that their prison system used hard labor only as punishment for the most heinous of crimes. Even after the ascension of the Hosts in 2007, this was the official government line - only those who deserved it ended up there. Murderers. Rapists. Repeat Offenders of the worst sorts.
However.

The TTAF had released overflight photographs of prison camps months ago, and the BBR's Office of Naval Intelligence started work on confirming their existence and the conditions therein. What they discovered was that, contrary to how it was being portrayed by the government, these labor camps were far from "Only" used for prisoners, and that those who had gone to the government looking for work - a key component of Relykstrana's social welfare net being government jobs for those who needed to get back on their feet - were also ending up in camps that looked remarkably similar, being forced to pay for transportation out and then room, board, and tools and equipment at exorbitant rates, leaving them stuck in debt and unable to leave.

In fact even some foreign refugees, looking for resettlement and work as promised by the Relykstranan government's humanitarian efforts, had been shipped off to these camps - nearly seventy thousand from the ongoing Micalandian crisis alone, although that was far from the only country of origin.

Government documents uncovered by the ONI and TESDAIn intelligence services furthermore revealed that it was the intention of the administration of the camps to explicitly make it difficult to leave; their intention was to keep the workforce captive for as long as possible utilizing a legal morass of contracts and hidden fees to keep them there and working for nothing more than the cost of food and housing.

Further information is certain to come to light about the matter, as the Relykstranan government is forced to begin to reveal internal documents and facilities. Already, while crowds gather in front of the Hall of Hosts, the armed forces have been placed on alert and, allegedly, several hundred people have commandeered a freight locomotive and are attempting to make their way to the largest of the refugee camps, at Domodebna.
It remains to be seen whether they shall arrive and, if they do, what they will do once they get there.

How do you find a banner that both looks good and fits your nation? I've tried a few custom banners, but none of them look better than the ones provided by the NS. Are there any specific characteristics to pay attention to?

The State of Domlandia in June 2022

In the late 1890s, The Kingdom of Domlandia was conquered by the newly formed Biggonian Empmire. For hundreds of years, the independent Biggonian kingdoms had frequently feuded with the Kingdom of Domlandia. They are an independent ethnic group with their own religious customs, and therefore after it became part of the Biggonian Empire these were deliberately supressed in favour of 'Biggoniafication'. Whilst this policy, which was supposed to create a unified Biggonian identity, was conducted all across the early parts of the Empire, it was far more pronounced and brutal in Domlandia due to most people feeling little to no connection to Biggonia. This bred resentment amongst the Domlandian populace, and therefore during 1938, with Biggonian attention distracted by the Great War and internal chaos gripping the entire Empire, Domlandia successfully rebelled against Biggonia. They officially established the Domlandian Republic in 1941, following a peace treaty with the Biggonian Empire.

Domlandia was a parliamentary republic, with an elected president as the head of state, who presides over elections to the Domlandian Assembly, which functions as the parliamentary body of the country. The president will then choose a Prime Minister, often recommended by parties based on their potential majorities. However, the President has no obligation to appoint the prime minister, and may hold additional elections or conduct investigations into recent electoral results if they feel the need to. This is what occurred in 1997.

Despite three attempted wars of reconquest by Biggonia in the 1960s, Domlandia had remained relatively stable, under a strong conservative coalition which was led by the National Party, they had a firm majority in both the assembly and the electorate. However, there was both a growing group of moderates, who wished for Domlandia to adopt a more co-operative stance with Biggonia rather than outright history, and also left wing parties, such as socialists. During the 1996 general election, President Edward Tailor won in a landslide victory. Whilst Tailor was overwhelmingly popular, he did not necessarily throw his backing behind any particular ideology or party. Although most certainly more sympathetic to the conservatives than any other group, Edward was not a blind fanatic. On the other hand, during the Assembly elections, the National Party's coalition won yet again, with 60 seats out of 100, with 13 falling to the socialists and finally 37 to others, generally moderates. Therefore the coalition's leader, Edgar Hooshmand, appeared poised to become Domlandia's Prime Minister.
But several alarming reports and leaks from the polling office began to point out that the socialist party got around 30% of the electorate, much more than the 13% which was implied by their seats. As accusations of gerrymandering and electoral fraud were directed at the National Party, moderates also began turning against the conservative coalition, fearing Domlandia was transitioning to an elected dictatorship. As these worries intensified, outraged conservatives and socialists took to the streets and began clashing. Therefore President Tailor was hesitant and held off on appointing Edgar Hooshmand to become Prime Minister. The intensely nationalistic and conservative military also began to become a source of concern, with some Domlandian moderates and socialists fearing they would stage a military coup to continue conservative dominance over the country.

Enter the Biggonians. From across the border, they had watched the developments in Domlandia with great interest, and therefore in March 1997 they sensed their opportunity and launched an invasion to finally reclaim the lost province. In a stroke of extreme luck, President Edward Tailor was killed in the opening hours of the war by a Biggonian airstrike, essentially crippling any plans to form a legitimate government in the near future. Despite Domlandian attempts to fight on, by late June the situation seemed hopeless, the city finally falling on the 26th June. When Biggonian troops entered the assembly, the found that only the 37 moderates remained, with the conservatives and socialists having fled. With 37 out of 37 votes, the Domlandian assembly voted to put Domlandia under temporary military custodianship until the situation has been worked out. However, the 60 conservative members of the assembly who had fled convened in a secret meeting, and declared Field Marshal Noorani Habdool as the Prime Minister of Domlandia. They also agreed to form a new political party- the National Front, which was led by none other than Edgar Hashood, the original favourite to be Prime Minister.

Over the years, Noorani Habdool has tightened his control over the National Front. Ever since Edgar Hashood died in 2007, Habdool has taken over as leader of the National Front as well, making him essentially the sole face of conservative resistance against the Biggonian occupation. The National Front is by far the largest resistance group against Biggonia, possessing numbers into the tens of thousands, as well as specialised equipment and training, thanks to many of them being members of the old Domlandian Army.

However, the Socialists are also a prominent force. Thanks to them not being as large, the Biggonian Empire does not target them as much. Therefore they have been able to grow in secret. Thanks to Biggonian education and propaganda showing socialism to be the very antithesis of Biggonia, this actually leads to a large amount of younger, nationalist Domlandians to join the socialists, seeking to bring down the Empire and liberate their homeland.

Despite both hating the Biggonian occupiers, the nationalists and socialists both despise one another almost as much. Socialists claim that Noorani Habdool and Edgar Hashood invited the Biggonians to invade Domlandia, for fear of losing the election, whilst the nationalists blame the socialists for not contributing enough the war effort. Neither claim has much evidence. However, with Biggonian activity now largely distracted by the civil war, this has allowed the rebels to grow even more active. Some think it is only a matter of time before a storm breaks over Domlandia.

Does anyone here have new ideas on how to get people to endorse you? I endorse everyone in the region, but it's difficult to get nations to endorse me in return. I think everyone who endorses everyone else has this problem, and sending telegrams is annoying for both parties and has too little effect in my experience.

You can't force everyone to endorse you.

I am once again campaigning for WA Delegate. As delegate, I plan to maximize regional influence and more. More information in the below dispatch.

I have 82 endorsements, and I've already send 3 rounds of telegrams in which I ask people to endorse me. That does help somewhat, but not that much as you can see.

It seems like most of the nations that aren't endorsing Arte are the same ones not endorsing me, and a lot of similarities in nations not endorsing you as well. I've sent waves of TGs (no more than weekly, and haven't sent one in a long while now) and some of them just never endorse. Not really sure why not, but I'd rather get their 30-50 influence per day in the region than not, but it is disappointing that they don't endorse everyone else to get an extra 100+ per day for the region.

I've honestly never seen anyone other than Arte publicly campaign for WAD, so I can't say whether or not that works. Pretty much all LE Board/government/official business happens on the Discord, and the WAD is pretty connected to the URA who's votes and recommendations go out on the Discord, so some nations won't endorse those that aren't active on Discord if they start getting close to the Delegacy.

Among the 37 nations that are not endorsing me, there are 21 of the 25 nations that are not endorsing you. Among those 21, there are 17 nation out of 30 that are not endorsing Artevenia, so there's indeed quite an overlap. Among those 17, there are 14 (or actually 13, one ceased to exist and the list hasn't been updated yet) that also don't endorse Earthern alliance, Antarctican Immagrants and Biggonian Megaist Empire (the rest of the top 6). I can understand that you do not want to endorse a particular nation for political reasons, but that's different from endorsing none.

What is the calculation for influence earned per day? I noticed my graph dropped recently, but I haven't lost endorsements, nor has my nation ceased to exist.

Influence increases every 12 hours based on the number of endorsements a nation has. However, influence is also tied to a region. When a nation is outside a specific region, it loses influence tied to that region. It can, however, gain more influence tied to its current region.

Kinda Yeah,
I wanted my Friend in real life to be a Lands End Member and be on the Map etc.
So we created the Holy Roman Union.
We were hanging out when I told him about it.
We created a password we both knew and a E-mail so he can be a WA but I accidently used my E-mail. So he then was a WA member and then a shareholder we filled the application so that he has land claims next to me and then after a few days I saw that I was banned from the wa. i tried contacted the moderators but they said I was still banned.
