Nearly seven centuries ago, the Greeks who eventually founded the Republic of Frouretia on Vesta departed Earth as part of an Apollonian space colonization expedition. The Republic of Frouretia later became the Frouretian Republic of Meadrin, which is the 21st century nation's contemporary successor. Following the rapid and unexpected collapse of Apollonia, Meadrin sees an opportunity to once again possess precious territory on humanity's planet of origin. This is an opportunity Meadrin would never pass up.

The College of Doorkeepers, dominated by the Order of May Fifth (OMF), unanimously passes a resolution after one balloting authorizing the Meadrish invasion of certain Apollonian territories. Over the next few days, the Meadrish Fleet transports approximately 200 thousand Meadrish Legion soldiers to Earth. These troops land in cities and towns in Apollonian Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and southeastern Kazakhstan.

The main objective of these troops is to restore order in the area so the initial wave of Meadrish settlers can arrive safely. To accomplish this, Meadrin imposes de facto martial law in its newly occupied areas. The Meadrish military is given free reign to attack potential threats, occupy properties, and build fortifications. After a week, Meadrish settlers begin to arrive in major cities. The first settlers to arrive are mostly engineers and architects tasked with planning reconstruction projects. Meadrin begins delivering construction infrastructure to its new territory a day following the arrival of the first Meadrish settlers. Over the next month, reconstruction projects replace destroyed infrastructure with urban designs resembling those of Meadrish cities, enabling a more diverse collection of settlers to immigrate.

One month after its invasion, Meadrin officially annexes Apollonian Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and southeastern Kazakhstan, dividing the territory into nineteen sectors. The majority of the sectors are led by members of the OMF. Meadrin can now strengthen its relations with the Cosmocracy and other neighboring nations.

The rejection of an Untecnan monarch on the grounds that he was rebelling against Columbia did not go down well with the representatives at the National Convention. Surainians strongly oppose imperialism and the vassal networks which lead to the subjugation of one nation over another. It especially angered the Sovereign Right of Kings which was outraged over the opinion and Shanxi which still criticized the lack of role of states and national boundary redrawing due to its traditional political autonomy and had been looking to secure a royal marriage to the Atreides. However, they agreed on a royal council to elect the monarch.

His allies also wanted the monarch to have limited power as opposed to primary legislative power, with the monarch serving a more ceremonial and cultural role with a Prime Minister or other elected leader being more the center of political authority; however, they were fine with a strong legislative branch to compensate.

Adams would propose thus

A Monarchy with limits from the Legislature which would be stronger, the same model of decentralization would be present, and there would be an elected “Speaker of the People’s” as a representative of the Legislature to the Monarch. He’d state in regards to the matter of the Untecnan Monarch that, “We need a Surainian born citizen to lead in Surainian matters, not some foreigner from Earth Europe.” This statement he hoped would appease the more nationalistic factions by placing a firm grasp on the doctrine of Surainion for the Surainians. Adams believed that a foreign born monarch would merely continue perpetuating the cycle of chaos that had engulfed the country as a result of meddling from both Equestria and Untecna . However, aware that the shanxi had wanted a marriage he suggested that the elected monarch be a woman and thus be able to marry Ezekiel, thereby allowing for the humanist factions to receive their monarch.

The Xeosian Hivemind, seeing that the Zarbikians had long left mars and that the antimatter generators under the surface had finally ceased to function and detonated long ago, begin to plan out claiming the territory.

After some time of preparation, a Xeosian cruiser comes out of slip space inside of Mars Atmosphere above the former Zarbikian territory. Hundreds of Dragoons drop out of the ships and land on the metal structures covering the territory. Some land on plain flat surfaces, whiule others have to cut themselves off the massive guns covering all of the territory. They quickly organize themselves into squads and cut holes into the roofs of the massive structures. They take note that the air is toxic and continue to breach and clear the structures. Once they come across the massive blown apart antimatter generators they request Kix Engineers to teleport in once the territory is cleared.

After a mere two months of driving around in APCs through abandoned hallways and leaving weird altars to Xeos in random closets, the territory is declared clear to be settled upon. The immediate disassembly of the massive collection of structures with the exception of exactly two seemingly historically important square miles is ordered by the new Kixian Governer of Mars. Studying of the remains of the various antimatter generators reveals very little other than some neat design choices that presumably could have increased their efficiency. The weaponry designs are deemed useful for future technological endeavors and simply cut out of the artificial landscape to later be studied and possibly even grafted onto a future ship design.
