The Sunflower war
The sudden attack by the Imperium which had seemingly been dormant for some time would surprise the Equestrian government. There would be several debates on whether aid should be sent to New Gettysburg, after all Equestria had held relations with the state since the early days of the independent republic. However, proponents for not aiding the republic pointed to the ongoing surainian war which had been eating away at the annual military budget like a catipillar, citing that funding and supporting two wars would strain the Equestrian national budget. Meanwhile proponents for the aid would state that Equestria had a duty to help its allies and friends as much as possible. Ultimately it would be the pro-aid individuals who would win the debate.

Thus, after some careful financial allocation and planning the Equestrian government would announce that almost 12 billion florins in aid would be sent, and would proceed to send 120 of their largest Crystal Class Starliners, hulking behmoths of a ship lined with a outer layer of overlapping synthetic rock crystal, with an inner layer beneath that of copper and beneath that standard iron hull. The Crystalline layer acted as a repellant to any light or plasma weaponry, either absorbing the energy of the plasma spreading it across a wide area or refracting the light based weaponry. The Ships would not contain any Equestrian or Hegemonic weaponry however, as Equestria knew that if the Gettysburgians lost that the ships would fall into enemy hands and they could not risk losing invaluable tech, as such the tech within the ships would be outdated by 100-200 years, however, it would be compatible with modern ballistics.

Aside from the massive ships, the Equestrian state would send food supplies, basic munitions, guns, and first aid. The munitions would include plasma anti-air guns, electron guns, some simple aircraft which were outdated by 50-100 years but also compatible with some minor adjustments with modern weaponry, tanks would also be sent.

In the meantime Equestria would open special teleportation areas within its embassy for those wishing to flee the fighting, automatic asylum guarentee's would also be put in place. Equestrian embassy's have two points of operation which they can shift back and forth from, one is peacetime operations which are standard embassy operations, and then there are wartime operations which open up humanitarian aid and evacuation operations.

WAR OF THE NEAR CORE PT IV - A TRANQUIL END
OXORA | PESREKANIAN EMPIRE | NCC SPACE

With tensions skyrocketing between the Hegemony and the Cosmocracy it was becoming more clear than ever that attention would need to be diverted from the longstanding conflict between the Hegemony and the remnants of the Near Core Confederacy, the remnant government taking refuge on Oxora within the still-standing Pesrekanian Empire. The so-called "War of the Near Core" had turned from a Hot War to one of occasional skirmishes over the last decade, though with the current situation many within the Hegemony's highest military offices would deem it necessary to pursue greater action to end the war quickly and without hesitation against the stubborn Pesrekanians who dared continue to defy the galactic order the Hegemony was trying to create. Over the last decade, the border between Pesrekania and the Hegemony had remained heavily armed with few attempts to try and break through as military assets were deemed more important elsewhere. However, with the current lack of military activity that involved the Hegemony, they would choose to pursue action instead of waiting another decade to finally finish this generation-long conflict.

The Fleet of Tyres would begin moving towards the militarized border, several hundred Koron Class Fortress Ships being spotted on Pesrekanian radar. Within seconds they would open fire upon the Koron classes, though this would be futile against them as they continued to move. Little to the knowledge of the Pesrekanians though this was merely a diversion as they sent out their own fleet stationed in the region to counter the perceived Hegemonic offensive. However, as they moved forward a massive Hyperion Class would uncloak itself, unleashing a powerful and terrifying blast straight at the fleet, destroying hundreds of ships in a single instance. This was the first usage of the Hegemony's newest technological advances in Anti-Matter technology, having now harnessed Anti-Matter into a laser-like form that could be used to wipe out enemy ships in the hundreds or thousands at a time. With this the Pesrekanians would retreat, allowing the Hegemony to move into the nearby Sumgarn System, the closest system to the border within Pesrekanian Space. There sat the base of operations for the Pesrekanian Colonial Fleets, destroying it would be a major victory and would allow the Hegemony further access inside Pesrekania. The Fleet of Tyres would continue moving inwards, reaching Sumgarn only hours after their initial victory at the border. However, by the time they got there the enemy had caught wind of their direction, a fleet already ready to defend the world as they arrived. The Hegemony was not surprised to see this though, choosing to continue on anyway as they pushed further into the system.

Koron Classes would begin to fire at the fighters flooding out from the Defensive Fleet, meanwhile, three Hyperion Classes prepared anti-matter weaponry for firing while Aeos and Usoren Class Hegemonic Fighters went at it against the enemy. In the world of Sumgarn, an emergency evacuation was declared, many being able to see the explosion of ships in the skies above them and knowing what was about to befall their world. It would only be a matter of time before the Hegemony's dreaded superweapon, the so-called "Sword of the Stars" would appear and this meant they had little time to do anything but run away. However, as evacuation pods would begin to leave the world Hegemonic Fighters would enter the atmosphere, shooting many of them down and killing those on board. Siege Ships would also enter the atmosphere, dropping their payloads over military targets while the Pesrekanians struggled to maintain control of the situation, now focused on defending survivors as the Hegemony relentlessly attacked the world. Landing pods would touch ground across the world, allowing for Stormtroopers and Berzerkers to flood major urban centers and force local authorities to surrender to them or be killed. After only a few hours Pesrekanian forces would be defeated and their military command center on Sumgarn would be captured and immediately put to use in favor of the Hegemony. Not only did they find secret plans for counterstrikes into Hegemonic territory but they also were able to get their hands on NCC technologies to study them and find potential counters to anything the Hegemony didn't already have.

However, the most important things revealed at Sumgarn Communications Base were other military outpost worlds, where current fleets were, and so much more. This would allow for the Hegemony to begin their most devastating attacks yet as the Presrekanians began to realize that they had been completely exposed by the capture of Sumgarn. Why they were cocky enough to leave important military secrets on a world so close to the border was something that should be researched, but for the time being it would greatly benefit the Hegemony in its efforts as fleet after fleet crossed the border going after more and more worlds. On Oxora reports began to flood in from the outer systems, they were all being completely overrun by Hegemonic forces. System after system would fall, and as the Sword of the Stars finally did arrive after finishing modifications and maintenance protocols within the Core Systems of Callaxium even more would begin to fall. Stories from survivors of entire fleets being wiped out would come through, and while most certainly exaggerated to a degree, it would scare the Pesrekanian Aristocracy to the point where some of them would begin begging for a white peace. By the time an additional 5,000 systems had been taken through military action Hegemonic Forces would begin preparing for an all out assault on the inner systems of the Pesrekanian State, a devastating attack that would more than likely kill tens of billions of people. However, the Hegemony did not wish to conduct such a large-scale attack without first seeing if the Pesrekanians had finally had enough.

The Department of Hegemonic Foreign Affairs would send an official demand for surrender to Oxora. This would be considered by their government thoroughly, with Hegemonic forces staying put on the newly established border as their demands were being debated vigorously within the chambers of governance on Oxora. The Pesrekanian military was greatly opposed to surrender, though certain factions such as the Navy were more in favor as they became tired of losing good men to this ceaseless war against an unwinnable foe. Meanwhile, the monarchy would stand neutral on the matter, the bureaucracy leaning more in favor, hoping to achieve a favorable result at the diplomatic table rather than continuing a war they would inevitably lose. After nearly two weeks of endless debate a notice would be sent to Hegemonica, the Pesrekanians along with the entirety of the remnant NCC government had chosen to surrender. Only hours after this Hegemonic Ships would enter the Oxora System, citizens of the world seeing a massive Hyperion Class in the space above them as ships entered the atmosphere. The flag of Pesrekania would be brought down and in its place the Flag of the Hegemony and the symbol of the Star would now fly over the world, the Hegemony had finally won. In the peacetalks that took place afterwards the Pesrekanians would be admitted fully into the Hegemony, their Royal Family, the Tartagenians, would be made into a Great Family to rule over their worlds. The creation of several new Oversectors would take place as well as former NCC territories were finally fully organized. These would include:

- The Ryx Oversector

- The Tartagenia Oversector

- Ada-Rossa Oversector

- Beothin Oversector

- Uyos Oversector

- Makula Oversector

With a total of 75,000 taken in the conflict, the Hegemony's population would swell further, now reaching 575 billion people. Representation in the Hegemonic National Assembly would need to wait though as the next census would count them accordingly. Hegemonic Diplomats would meet with King Ataraxes XI to establish the terms of peace, Thrawn being present as well. Footage of the two shaking hands as Hegemonic ships flew overhead would go viral as a moment of unity after decades of war. Relief efforts and construction units would be moved in to begin immediate repairs across the former NCC as worlds would be returned to their former glory. However, not everyone was happy or excited about the new age with some choosing to exile themselves outside the Hegemony and establish the New Pesrekanian Republic (NPR) on its northeastern border. However, the Hegemony would choose to leave this state be, the state being a severely weak one with only around 500 systems to its name. Military parades would take place on multiple Hegemonic Core Worlds and even one on Oxora itself with millions of pro-hegemony supporters happy to now be a part of a growing galactic superpower. Flags would wave proudly as the Hegemony moved onto its next task and military commanders would continue preparing for what they were referring to as the "Inevitable War." with a renewed sense of purpose and confidence. With the Cosmocrats now fortifying themselves across all sectors, it was clear that the Hegemony would need to do the same. Now with the War of the Near Core over with, they could finally focus fully on what lay ahead for them.

OOC Note: I took the remaining 12,500 systems within NCC/Pesrekanian control. The war ended diplomatically as the stubborn Pesrekanians finally realized that we were just going to kill all of them if they didn't comply with our surrender demand. More to come soon...
