Täre! Mikukalla?

Hello! How is everyone?

It looks like it happened again after checking but apologies for being inactive for a while, I have been busy with something else.

Anyway...

Ah, cool. I like the look of it. :) I realise I don't know much about the Cyrillic orthographies of other Slavic langs besides Russian (and a couple of non-Slavic ones). Due to the current situation I've been exposed a bit to Ukrainian, and I must say that I find it fascinating.

Do you use un-macroned У for something else, or do you only have the macroned one?

Hehe the poor un-macroned У I kicked out of the alphabet entirely

I can read Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Korean and a bit of Arabic. Occasionally, I will mistake letters due to the similarity, but we all make mistakes sometimes… :P And plus, they help you learn!

New lang?

For today's Emnian phrase, we look to the Anglican Book of Common Prayer:

    Éaphair l'éaphar ó h-óbhac l'óbhac.
    [eːfˠəɾʲ lʲ‿eːfˠəɾʲ oː h‿oːvˠək l‿oːvˠək]

"Ashes to ashes and dust to dust."

This stock phrase is derived from Ecclesiastes 3:20:

Iathlúach an cumhaill ál mocuinn eachd. Is muin an óbhac them an cumhaill, ó l'óbhac iasúabh an cumhaill.
    [iəluːx ə‿kuːl̠ʲ aːl mˠɔkiːn̠ʲ (j)axt̪ˠ /// ɪsˠ mˠɪnʲ ənˠ‿oːvˠək hɛmʲ ə‿kuːl̠ʲ oː l‿oːvˠək iəsˠuːvˠ ə‿kuːl̠ʲ]

"All shall go to one place. They are all from dust, and to dust they all shall return."

Well, that's the second time that's happened (and the second time I was thrown out of a position in two years).

Yeah, it was that unnamed one that I was working on. Aand the one which you helped name.

An excerpt from the Legends of the Council

herblore

Salvia emnitica, also known as Emnian sage (Emnian: maru eaimhnidht) or locally as blue sage (Emnian: maru tachaoile), is a herbaceous perennial in the genus Salvia that is native to Emneshire. Emnian sage has been the official flowering plant of Emneshire since 1890.

Its flowers are a pale blue (rarely also white), range between 6 and 14 millimetres in length, appear in the spring, and last until the early Summer. It is larger than common sage, with stems growing up to a metre in height, making it prone to flopping and lodging. When grown as an ornamental plant, stems are usually cut back in order to slow the vertical growth of the plant and prevent flops and lodges from occurring. It is particularly prevalent throughout Barony Derrimy, giving rise to the nickname "Barony of the Blue Field" (Mabruine t-an Seárainn an Tachaoile), as the abundance of sage flowers overtaking the meadows causes the landscape to take on a pale blue colour.

Like common sage, it has a savoury and slightly peppery flavour, though it is not as potent as common sage and for this reason has fallen out of widespread culinary use. The essential oil of Emnian sage can also be distilled, but it is similarly less favoured for this use than other sage species, such as Salvia fruticosa.
