The cheap satisfaction of plucking low hanging fruit is incredibly orgasmic for the intellectually dishonest, shallow, and lazy.

It is why you do not see significant international activity from American activists who have no shortage of stages to virtue signal from in a sea of countries where truly demarcated and targeted political, ethnic, religious, and gender minority groups are bled every day by atrocity that is all but normalized by western powers because there are resources to exploit, or more importantly, common chords of authoritarianism to cultivate that take precedence over identity politics.

The interesting relationship between Islam and Progressivism is defined by this dynamic.
While Progressives are not overly fond of religious fundamentalism in the Abrahamic sense, they do appreciate the tyrannical aspects of theocracy to an extent that forms a cultural alliance.
The irony being that the lack of philosophical or forensic sensibility in any school of authoritarianism leads even the most secularly defined ideologies to be driven by their own brands of dogma and fundamentalist fervor to maintain political momentum.

Dennock wrote:The complaining has begun. Now libs are blaming Ginsburg for the ruling, as if she is somehow evil for not retiring under Obama. It fascinates me, most American Progressives will blame anyone but themselves. They also are unwilling to listen to the facts, reasoning, and other people’s opinions.

Is this the beginning of the end? Or will the Progressives once again show themselves to be cowards and say they are going to do something and never do it? This ruling does not BAN abortion, but rather states it is the states right to decide. People need to learn the difference, and most of those crazies won’t be affected because of where they live.

I Strongly agree with you on both statements, and other people's opinions.

People do not even begin to emotionally mature until the age of twenty.
Why do you think that leftwing idealism preys upon the sentimentality of children in the first place?

The teenager is an artificial social construct of the 1950s.
There is no intermediate zone between childhood and adulthood, psychologically speaking.
You are one until you grow fully into the other which for the average American kid of the past few generations happens around 25.

European!

US color bias is rather unique in the world for reasons I cannot fathom myself as a black man.

Have had interesting conversations with Hispanics and Indians, and Arabs who consider themselves "white" within their own cultures, and how they maintain their identity in the US.

After spending several years in Africa, I had to readjust to the reverse dynamic with "mixed" individuals.
In Africa, white usually negates your blackness, where in the US half blacks get full credit.

All I can say is that cultural perspectives strangely kaleidoscope outside of the home view.

Yeah, it is utterly ridiculous here in the US. Race, and gender are the only thing people of a certain political leaning seem to care about.

The whole North American Caucasian thing is obsolete anyway, and not a standard anyone should be held to since sliding into the obscurity of discarded psuedo-science, but there seems to still be too many hangers on to the idea.

The only real sticking point left to navigate is your cultural identity versus how you are legally categorized in non-home countries.
Check whatever box you have to when visiting, but do not let that define you.
You are still you.

Not quite that simple.
Grievance politics with its umbrella of protection status has a lot of us who should know better taking greater advantage of new race dynamics than we probably should.
Even to the point of establishing "whites need not apply" zones in some cultural, political, and industrial sectors.

Opening up opportunity to all is not the same as saying whites are not welcome, but they have to compete for jobs in a way to which some are unaccustomed which to them feels like a disadvantage to be sure.

Honest folk will make it work.

Do not overlook vengeance politics, though.
For the masters of US identity politics, color blind societies and judgement based on character are now considered code in a new age redefinition of white supremacy.
Objectivity and equality are not enough.
We have to be "anti-racists" now, endlessly scouring and shaming even our closest friends and allies, because there can never be a resolution for this particular gem in the Progressive "equity" arsenal.
It is an ugly cultural Marxist dynamic I have been watching play out on two continents, and it is turning real and meaningful ethnic gains on their head.

I am Brazilian but my parents are both Portuguese. I was born in Brazil but I have citizenship of both countries, when I arrived in the USA, my physical appearance looks like Viking as some Yanks call me, I explain talking about my origin, so if I summed up them saying "Luso-American, so what to say that Are they Latino? Oh, so you're Mexican sons of Vikings?" Worse when someone says, that Latinos don't have blue eyes and that's why I'm not Latino, at university I'm called Rust Hair or Ragnarok Mexican, sometimes they ask me to speak Spanish, worst of all, I I can't be White but I can't be Latin either, basically my ethnicity never existed for them.

Just tell them your Portuguese and where born in Brazil. You have to really dumb things down for them because most "yanks" are verry Stupid. Also point out that the Lusoitanians spoke a Celtic dialect before they got Latinized by the Romans.
Although that point that will likely fly over their heads it

Like how if asked what I am I'd say I was Born in the U.S but am Ethnicly Scotts-Irish and German. Also I'm a Dixon. And not a "Yankee" although the rest of the world pretends that all Anglophone Americans are "Yanks"

Jesus Christ, I can relate. I'm also brazillian, my grandfather on my father's side was portuguese, and my grandparents on my mother's side were italian, but I also have indigenous and african ancestry because of my grandmother on my father's side. I have dirty blonde hair, green eyes and I'm... Kinda white? I don't even know what I am. I dread the idea of going to the USA because it would probably fry some american brains who would try to classify me
