Greater China

Shòu China (/Shō ˈChīnə/), Chinese: (/瘦 中国/Shòu Zhōngguó/), Cantonese: (守 中國/Sou Zung gwok/), officially The Imperial Empire of Shòu China , Chinese: (/英制帝国瘦 中国/) Cantonese: (/帝國帝國守 中國 /) Chinese: (/中国/) or rather commonly known as China is a constitutional monarchy legislated by the imperial parliament and subject to the greater court and governed by the prime minister and emperor, who serves as the head of government and head of state respectively. China is located in the region of East Asia, their are 23 provincial states as well as 11 special administrated zones and 1 incorporated territory.

China serves as an example of a region that graced the period of Decolonization and has become an immense superpower in the twenty first century, it has become a central hub for travel, finance, shipping, and manufacturing the nation also exports its culture, being that it is at the epicenter of Asia's economic and cultural awakening as well as bouts an immense naval fleet. The influence and wealth originated in the former Qing Dynasty due in part to both the historical influence of the nation and it being the site of the Oriental Pearl Aeroport thee central hub for a new frontier as it has became the busiest spaceport in the world and the One World Silk Road an imperial insensitive to greater connect China to the world by land, air, and sea.

Etymology

The name of the Shòu Dynasty originated from its predecessor as Qing emperor Xianfeng died so did the former empire in its place came a new reign that of Empress Cixi this established a new dynasty, 瘦 or Shòu translated to english means thin, the meaning for this name is meant to represent the thin line that the young empire navigated between triumphant success and spiraling decline as the nation was plagued early on by domestic and foreign politics and a fleeting economy. (Shòu/) emerged as the prominent name in the west to describe the new dynasty. This name seems to first be quoted by British diplomat Thomas Francis Wade in 1868 in his work following his famous textbook that romanized the chinese language the year prior stated, "The state of China has undergone immense change within the last decade, Empress Cixi has ascended to the throne in the year of our Lord 1861, has now joined our own majesty the queen Victoria to not bring an end to the old order but better yet to bring rule to an evermore agressive world, we see this in the empire of China they are treading down a thin line of ice, their success shouldn't just matter to the balance of the east but to all western powers with vast empires that become evermore reliant on their colonies, citizens, and connections. But let us not be ignorant either as the French leader Napoleon once said "China is a sleeping giant. Let her lie and sleep, for when she awakens she will astonish the world," and with that I leave you one word Shòu : 瘦 meaning the thin empire because with either its success or its downfall the West should be trembling."

History

After 225 years of Manchu reign under the rule of the Qing dynasty, two days after the death of the Xianfeng Emperor on 1861 August, 24th the high rankinging council members met at the Peking imperial palace to discuss the matter of finding a new emperor. Although empress Cixi had different plans as she had foreseen the death of the late emperor a truth that many did not want to admit, she had planned for years her escape. The second the funeral was over in peking a series of motions were set into action as Cixi and her imperial court fled to the eastern capital at Xi'an their she was officially recognized as imperial empress of China daughter of 10,000 suns the lord of heaven. After some odd years of destabilization and infighting in the region the elites of the new nation launched a campaign of nationalism and reunification of the Cantonese Southern region to unite the separated peoples and would later handel the ethnically Han north. In 1868 with the help of the British professor and diplomat Thomas Francis Wade official relations were propped up with the west and monarchy in exchange for help unifying and administrating the vast empire the British would be rewarded with the territory of Hong Kong island.

And the most significant reclamation of land was in the period of 1927-1937 where their was a British effort to contribute to a fleeting Nationalist China as the Chinese civil war was raging over national parties in the end the emperor with aid from Nationalist forces and the british turned the tide of the war before the arrival of WWII and the Japanese empire. As well with acquisitions and expansion prior to the civil war them being the eastern half of the Korean peninsula and the island of Jeju. Further expansion came from the end of the great second world war and the overthrowing of the Japanese empire that had captured Chinese territory in the previous century. These lands were the eastern portion of the Korean peninsula and the island of Taiwan in August 28, 1945.

Instrumental to the success was the stability and prosperity offered by the Chinese monarchy and opening the region to the west and introducing special administrated cities that served as Tax havens to encourage foreign trade, investment, and financial services. As well as the work of a prominent, aspiring, and charismatic leader Puyi the last Manchu emperor, there have been a total of 4 emperors and currently the position was appointed to Emperor Nichols Xiao.

Government

The nation of China has had 4 emperors since its Independence in the 1860s, and in 1910 the first democratic elections were held, elected officials consisted of members of prominent Han Chinese families who regularly meet to vote on both foreign and domestic issues. When the sun would set on an emperor's reign that being from either resignation from office or pass on, the royal bloodline has since been blessed with heirs since its foundation. As for the prime minister a council would meet to vote on a new leader as their is no precedent for term limits. However in 1930 an official constitution was ratified, although citizens are not allowed to vote for their president/head of state, but rather vote for senators who represent the people at the Imperial Parliament where every 5 years congregate to vote on a new prime minister/head of government.

The citizens have the choice of voting for one of the three national parties, majority party Imperium Conservative/帝国保守派/帝國保守, the minority party Labor National/劳工国民/勞動國家, and third party One Joseon/壹朝鲜/壹約森/하나의 조선.

Foreign Relations and Military

The Chinese monarchy has adopted a nationalist policy concerning international diplomacy, the ideal being exuding influence and power over its neighbors, the ideal "Greater China" includes policing the international waterways of East Asia, facilitating commercial trade in the surrounding waters, the thought being summarized by a quote from the director of foreign affairs, "Maintaining our status as the economic and political center of East Asia is imperative to maintaining stability and prosperity throughout the region. We must create an environment where our neighbors revolve around our schedule."

Surinam maintains formal relations with all UN recognized nations. As well as being involved in many trade and military organizations, as well as being aligned to the west and oldest ally being Great Britain.

Mission of diplomacy: "While the worlds light may be fleeting, We want the world to know that the Chinese shall never bow to darkness because, the light is imminent. Even if the sun should set on the state, the people will always carry the torch of China's spirit."

Greater China maintains the largest armed forces in the world, according to top officials the nation has all the worlds resources at its disposal, along with a combined man power exceeding any other nation with plentiful active and reserve personnel. Aided by recently passed policy dictating every citizen must serve 2 years within the ranks, and reserves the right to draft a male from every family, and reserves the right to bear nuclear weaponry.

The three armed forces that bow to the emperors whim, include the imperial navy, royal air-force, and the army. All reporting directly to the director of defense along with the imperial admiral who oversees all military operations, missions, and exercises. The imperial navy makes up almost seventy percent of the budget diverted to the armed forces, as projecting power over the many points of interest for the nation lies in the strategic waterways of the pacific ocean, yellow sea, south China sea, bay of Bengal, and the straight of Malacca.

GDP: 23.4 Trillion ₣
GDP per capita: 14,200 ₣

Fully taking advantage of its strategic locations such as the east Chinese coast, the Pearl river delta, the island of Taiwan, as well as the peninsula of Korea allow China to be the prime economic center in all of Asia. The nation prides itself for being at the forefront of the shipping and tourism industries being the intermediaries in world travel and trade. Although in reality excels in the sectors of Financial services, and manufacturing. The foremost exports of the nation are crude and refined petroleum, raw and refined sugar, rice, luxury goods, fish, and plastics.

A quote from one of China's top economist states, "Greater China can best be summarized as the mainlands coast are lined with cities that bring in the investors the bankers, beyond that are seas of green plantations exporting rice and sugar, beyond the other side of the cities is the literal sea with the cargo ships exporting all the oil, the fish packaged in Chinese plastic sent to the west. And the coastal beaches bring the people, bring the planes, bringing the bankers and the investors back with their families, the Chinese cycle."

Culture

Chinese culture is a brilliant blend of Asian cultures, the ethnic Han people had great influence over the new culture and larger society, the elites knew their would never be true hegemony or a pure Chinese people because they simply don't exist, a true melting pot of diversity. The nation prides itself in traditional Cantonese foods mixed with the flavors and spices of the Southeast, most peoples enjoying Sino-Korean fusion or traditional British dishes.

Classical music in the period circa 18th-20th century consisted of a brilliant blend between native Cantonese and western instruments, best demonstrated by Pablo de Sarasate who toured through France and its former empire. Modern Chinese music referred to as C-Pop is enjoyed throughout the world and is the prime export of Chinese culture to the world as many can understand the blend of Chinese, English, and Cantonese lyrics pared to brilliant sounds of a people. The nation also has a growing cinema and television industry producing Asian film for domestic and foreign audiences with subtle addition of english direction and production produced for the masses.

Chinese diaspora includes a large abroad population, and maintaining cultural ties with citizens and Asians abroad by promoting the opening of Cultural heritage sites, developing Asian peoples urban centers around the world. As well as a policy known as "Huí Dào Guāngmíng" (/回到光明/回到光中/) or "Return to the Light" where second generation born Chinese abroad are encouraged to return to the motherland.

Infrastructure

The central government holds the position that infrastructure when possible should be built and maintained by the private sector, including projects that serve the state. These massive public projects while used by the masses were funded and profited off by private entities, these projects included: dams, cargo ports, canals, nuclear power plants, off shore drilling operations, on shore fracking operations, railroads, highways, and airports.

A statement on Chinese infrastructure was best summarized in a BBC Documentary entitled The Century of Asia, "If you want to find where more than half of the worlds concrete is being pored, go to China.", "In the last decade alone the nation has laid enough concrete to slow down the earths rotation by a millisecond." The cities of the nation are modeled after European layouts of large public promenades, open wide boulevards, parks landmarks and monuments.
