He turned around and looked at his comms officer who nodded, the signal was through and thus he knew that it was only a matter of at worst a week at best hours before reinforcements would come. He looked outside again, the camera screen showing a 3D view of the surrounding area, as no transparent steel was present as the bridge was not exposed as the designers were not idiots. The defensive systems began dealing with the incoming torpedoes and the second wave fighters but the sheer amount of stuff coming at them mean that their shields were starting to take hits. He knew that if they stayed they would be death something he was not looking forward to and would not give these creatures the pleasure off.

All ships micro jumps we are going to draw this out”

He looked at his weapons officer and grinned,

Give them a present and jump away

The weapons officer nodded and Sven looked at the positions of the other ships which jumped away, a micro-jump was a simple tactic they used to jump to the edge of the system and from there they would use their ships their speed to their advantage. Now all the fire was drawn upon this ship but all of this was taking place within a few seconds. The automated system released a simple giant nuclear warhead (tsar bomba size) then the ship jumped away, waiting for it to go off ripping apart the incoming enemy as Sven his ship came out of hyperspace at the edge of the system and then started to move around the outer planets as quickly as possible hiding in the asteroid belt using its magnetic field to dim its sensors. It now was a waiting game and from now on would be a hit and run war until reinforcements came, while keeping them in place.

Notes: Fighters seem prevalent, comparable to swarm war protocol…...possible swarm remnants...SWARM-protocol engaged
Response:
7th Frontier group send 6 heavy cruisers, 2 dreadnoughts,7 Battle-Cruisers, 2 carriers, 23 Frigates. SWARM protocol engaged all forces are to conduct extermination protocols… organics lacking..successor form of the swarm.

I watched the ships jump to Hyperspace, i doubted it was far, the Matrix had computed that the Inwitt wouldn't simply cut and run. I ordered the fleet to resume its attack on the planet and upon looking at the scans i could see the resource fleet had already left the planetary system. Our mission was simple to draw the Inwitt forces to this system, devastate this system and then leave with minimal losses as possible. It was then that i noticed the bomb left by the Inwitt just as it went off.

The bomb destroyed the fighters close to it and seriously damaged the second wave fighters. As for the Basestars, my been closest but still some distance took the brunt of the blast. Sensors showed that a number of systems had been damaged, with nearly a 3rd of our armament where no longer functional until repairs had taken place, meanwhile there were high amounts of radiation being reported throw-out the ship, which in itself wasn't harmful to us but we had to ensure that vital systems where shielded against it.

As such i ordered with withdrawal of ground forces and ordered full ship to surface bombardment, with most of the planetary anti ship guns no longer functional it would enable us to launch a quick and swift attack on the planet. Though i doubted that unless we concentrated fire on the cities shielding we would penetrate it to destroy the cities. Though the attack on the less defended settlements and on the surface as well would render the planet less hospitable for habitation.

I also assigned the withdrawal of our forces to take place in 5 hours and all ships were to remain vigilant for those Inwitt vessels that had jumped away. I estimated that our ship would be ready for Hyperspace within 10 hours and as such tasked a two Basestars to stay with us until we could jump. For the glory of the Cylon Empire.
