today i made a new political parties factbook

Parliamentary Political Parties of Estandé
Political parties emerged as major organisations on August 31, 1902, when the first constitution was established at the behest of Dom Manuel III. After the Charter of Concession, as it was known, was signed, several political parties emerged, promptly establishing Estandé as a semi-constitutional monarchy with a parliament under a multi-party system. When suffrage was extended to the general population, and not just the nobles, in 1903, movements like the Communist Party, the Frente Unida dos Trabalhadores, the Integralist Party, and the Honourist Party emerged from already-established groups of differing ideas. Within this new political and representative landscape, nobles fought with the common folk in the newly-established Cortes Gerais, with nobles often siding with generally royalist-aligned parties and the people siding with parties of liberal, or even masonic, beliefs.

The December Revolution occurred on December 25, 1926, and ended on December 5, 1927, with the fall of the monarchy and established nobility, paving the way for a genuine democracy to be founded. For two decades, the newly established republic enjoyed countless political freedoms and the rise of certain political parties such as the Liberal Party, Conservative Party and, most importantly, the Estandér Worker's Party. After General Aleixo Rodrigues' successful putsch on August 4, 1947, democracy disappeared overnight as other political parties were banned and certain rights were suspended. For 28 years, Estandé's populace was oppressed by the authoritarian-communist Estandér Worker's Party, which worked with the similarly-aligned Republican Army.

When the Peoples' Assembly elected Tristão Pires, he gradually democratised Estandé, much to the Estandér Worker's Party's dismay. He was removed from office, but most of the army, and the populace, retained loyalties to Pires. When a peaceful protest held in Santa Anna was violently suppressed by the army loyal to the government, another revolution was on the horizon, eventually beginning after the second raid on Secunda's barracks. After the revolution, democracy was restored after close to three decades. Many political parties were restored and political thinkers and philosophers emerged from hiding. Estandé liberalised both socially and economically, and a stable democracy began. The Second Republic fell in 2030 however, after a coup d'etat by radical Honourists with support from the army. After another revolt by pro-democratic forces known as Constitutionalists and with help from Sicilianzo and San Sierra, the monarchy was restored but democracy was retained. Nowadays, Estandé is a constitutional monarchy under a parliamentary, multi-party system, however, two major parties rule the Cortes Gerais, the Liberal Party, a merger of the Liberal-Democratic Party and the reorganised Estandér Worker's Party, and the Conservative Party.
