Anniversary of the Siege of Kiev
77 years ago, in 1943, German forces were hot on the advance, having beaten back Soviet Forces at Minsk, and seemingly having turned the war back in their favour. However, a relatively young, inexperienced general by the name of Alexei Vodovatov managed to beat the odds and hold off German forces at Kiev. Despite inferior numbers, and the senior Vodovatov being ill following a German gas attack, competent leadership and effective delegation allowed Soviet forces to resume on their march, and the Siege of Kiev would end at the begining of L-Day, April 17th, 1943.

The end of the siege is often a day of celebration and of parades, however the Siege was not the only major military operation associated with Kiev.

Commonly known as the "Great Blunder", during the Ukrainian War of Independence (1992-2001), the Soviet 3rd Army, headed by Adam Beria (son of Lyudmilla Beria and last of the Beria Dynasty), failed to take several opportunities to defend Kiev and return to the offensive. This would prove disastrous, as a regrouped Ukrainian National Army would soon take the city, and execute Adam Beria publicly. This utter disaster is considered by many the main cause of the Soviet Union losing the Ukrainian War of Independence, which would prove the first fallen domino as the USSR collapsed in on itself.

few notes, first i have yet to update the map (the only reason you are still there technically)
second, the gore contest was second what happened. Igatov's harem was the first as far as i remember.
And as per usual, we blame all bad stuff on Anne.

Another day another liberation
It was yet another busy day in the office/bunker of Regent Marshal Krevdenkov. The birds were singing, traitors were burning, civilians were screaming just like during the good old days back in Poland. As per usual kravdenkov signed yet another document with 100K civilians to be executed for wrong think, doubting the igatovite way, or just being plain stupid. As kravdenkov was finishing his breakfast (human fingers with fried brain) he threw the finger bones to his loyal guard dogs. Reminiscing of the days he served under igatov himself he decided to do what igatov himself would often do. Take a small walk through the burning cities to check up on quality of the army and loyalty to the revolution. As he was casually taking his time walking around he saw the most offensive thing ever.... the japanese he was about to murder by the millions elected a new imbecile to rule over them. As he heard the report from one of the guards on duty near the pirate palace kravdenkov decided to do the only thing he could. First, shoot the one who told him such offensive news. Second, demand from Annetonia war reparations for a war that hasn't even happened (as per usual)
third check the Vladilan embassy and see if the new ambassador also needs to get executed like the previous one when an "accidental" artillery shell hit him in the face.
Even more dumb news came soon after to ruin kravdenkov's day further more.
Apparently the already disliked backwards wannabe igatovite declared himself Emperor of all Russians. But for now what mattered most was bringing the world revolution instead of beginning a cold war among the 2 vanguard nations. Ultimately kravdenkov nearly executed himself upon the news that the leader of china wants "freedom" for her citizens as if the proletariat could ever be let loose from the rail way of igatov himself (kravdenko thinks everyone is retarded and would turn against the revolution the second you allow any changes/freedoms) at the very least he had some good news, the invasion of the 3 new targets would begin in 2 days (Venezuela and Oman with Yemen) perhaps once the oil blood is secured he can deal with the Japanese in a manner benefiting of an enlightened man such as himself (nuke nuke nuke)
