I prefer Science Fiction levels but MT is tolerable.
hmmm as for Realtime that requires me to actually be awake at your times. How probable that is I have no idea =P
MT with twist i would say has otherworldly stuff such as star gates (Hence the twist part it allows other worlds while keeping it planet bound.)

We should probably agree on what the limits are on the Twist, so we don't end up inadvertedly godmodding. :P
Stuff like having multiple worlds but still modern tech with travel being through say stargate like stuff.

I think I still have admin privileges over the old regional forum. Should I open up a section there so we can try to get our RP started? Having something up and running would help a lot in getting other people involved.

Eventually we will need the forum, to develop our roleplaying in more complex ways. I'm thinking we should use both this RMB and the forum. Here we can do simpler stuff, and in the forum we could do the longer, more complex events. Both would be canon, and people would be able to roleplay in both. My idea here is that everyone should participate, but that we should have the additional option of the forum, in case we need it.

I think people should be free to RP however they wish, so I make no preference over FT or MT or PMT or Past Tech or whatever. If it is a regional RP where we want to include as many regional residents as possible, though, I think PMT would work. Something where it's tech we know and tech we're hearing about but nothing beyond that. Just my two cents.

I know we were having an offsite discussion about RP before RL came and grabbed me and took me away. Has anything come from that as of yet?
I see that we didn't get much movement on it. So, rather than do it on the offsite, let's talk here. I, for one, am in the mood for some role play be it light RP that's a bit silly or serious RP that makes House of Cards look cheery. But, since most people here have nations, we should devote some time to dealing with a regional map. While I hate to say this, I'm for using a user-created map as opposed to RL geography. RL geography is easier, but people tend to think that, by claiming France, they'll just play France--and this never works out. I hope there are people here willing to claim a spot, write a factbook, and start RPing. I know Vaporeon was interested.

I'm generally a fan of simply beginnning to interact with each other. I RP fairly often elsewhere, but I'm not really a veteran roleplayer, so I don't have a magic formula that will work. In my other region we began with a war, and that pretty much started a whole system of alliances and backstories, which is still active to this day. I'm not sure I'd want to start with a war here, my point was more that just making the jump often works. How about we come up with some basic info from our nations, and then give it a go?
