"Athens being the capital of old Greece is of great importance to the Empire. Namely as the seat of power for its monarch and senators.", Solaris would say before an aide would walk over with some papers for his counterparts to sign.

"Just a formality. We recognize your territorial integrity, same for us. We'll replace your garrisons in the territory we've agreed that will be handed over to us and so on, etcetera etcetera.", Solaris went on, grabbing a walkie talkie from the table and holding it up to his face, waiting for the Adrians to sign.

Election Night

As polls close across Scandinavia, the people sit on the edge of their seats. Some worried that conservative control could bring a downfall to the nation, some worried the opposite. Many news platforms across the nations are projecting different things. The election is a toss-up.

We move to a newsroom in Oslo, where Niels Moller, a National icon for his announcements and projections of elections prepares the nation for the election.

He stands in front of a screen that shows a chart. The top of the chart reads Projected Winner and the side of the chart reads News Networks. The chart says:

Niels Moller proceeds to inform the viewers watching about the election and the possibility of a runoff, before announcing that polls will be closing in the next 5 minutes. As the clock ticks 7:00 PM the election results are announced.

All Television News cuts to the queen addressing her citizens, as is the tradition of election night. She is sitting at a chair inside the Royal Palace, a table sits next to her with a cup of water residing on top. “Ladies and Gentlemen, the 2083 General Election results are in. It is with great duty that I announce the next government of the Federation of Scandinavian States. Coming in third place, John Williams earns 12.5% of the vote. His party has earned 25 seats in the assembly and 19 seats in the senate. In second place Alma Eriksen earns 37.5% of the vote. Her party has earned 75 seats in the assembly and 56 seats in the senate. In first place, Bjorn Gulbrandsen, who earned 50% of the vote. His party earned 100 seats in the assembly and 75 seats in the senate. Scandinavian Democrats have won a majority in both chambers. May the Federation forever be strong, thank you and good night.”

An unforeseen Conservative government will be established in Scandinavia and it is uncertain what Prime Minister Gulbrandsen has in mind, but one thing that is certain is that the Social Democrats are no longer in power.

GREECE

In Athens the troops remained and even more descended from the starship to secure more areas. Similar events began happening across the agreed zones with planes flying in from Naples or nearby command ships.

Constantinople, after it's quick siege has also received a garrison, three divisions to be exact and so on.
The Interior Ministry has also announced a Transitional Authority in the new Imperial territories while senators are selected and provincial lines are drawn up. Meanwhile the House of Glücksberg in Greece has been receptive after being approached by a T.A official and is expected to be governing over one of the regions as an 'Archon', a new title for a governor in Greece.

UNKNOWN STARZONE, SILBERTAL — There was no actual response from the vessel for some time. Then after a couple minutes, a data packet was sent via laser communications. The packet was 150 gigabytes in size, and contained a ton of information, all in some mathematical base or imagery. Most of it had to deal with the location the ship was from, but there was also quite a bit of imagery regarding Leithania itself.

Due to the lack of enough onboard processing power to decompress the data in a reasonable time, the ship had to relay the files back to the home base to be decoded an analyzed. After a couple minutes of analysis, the ship relayed back a similar data file from the silbertal, containing imagery of the people and data about their currently small nation.

ENGLISH HOSTILITY

With the English showing no sign to ending their hostility or even attempting to negotiate with the Empire of the Latins, the Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent an eviction notice to the British Embassy though it is mentioned the cut off of relations can be avoided through diplomacy, something the English seemingly don't understand.

In a continued response the acting head of Government, the senator and Marshal, Duke Fernando de Solaris has urged the British Government to cease their hostilities and take a look at reality and not the fake news that seems to have cursed the BBC for close to a century. In Greece not a single shot had been fired by the Latins but the Adriatic Coast did. The Latin Transitional Authority in Greece is to elect senators and bring stability to the nation and reestablish civilian infrastructure. Constantinople was under the yoke of a genocidal terrorist militia and like the Adrians forces were sent there to bring peace and stability, 'the former of which Britain is throwing away over a petty vendetta." It's recommended the British come to the table before they try anything.

As the English mustered their forces the Grand Imperial Army did the same. Flights from Naples seemed constant along with starships leaving from major Latin cities to Greece to drop off more troops and weaponry. Constantinople itself would begin to see its defenders dig in, smaller boats leaving to drop off naval mines while submarine nets begin to set up in shallow waters.

The Islands of Greece also began to see militarization with support from starships, namely several Ange and Aquila class starships helping to drop off troops and supplies.

With British involvement in the sea becoming more worrisome the Admiralty of the Grand Imperial Navy has also established Fleet II under the command of Admiral Soria. The fleet will be sent approximately to 34.977757,28.132823 and will comprise of 10 Aquila-class Destroyers, 5 Madrid-class Destroyers, 16 Navarra-class frigates and 20 Pizarro-class corvettes. A new task force will also be sent to 34.445156,22.628661 under the command of Commodore Vaca with 3 Aquila-class Destroyers, 2 Madrid-class destroyers and 5 Navarra-class frigates along with 8 Pizarro Corvettes. Aircraft Carriers have been left out of the equation mostly due to them being unnecessary for the moment.
Though submarines have already been active in the area, remaining submerged and stalking Royal Navy movements.

Mainland Iberia has also seen reinforcement with a division being sent to the doorstep of Gibraltar and the straits itself seeing a larger military presence in case the eventual need to cut off the Royal Navy from the area.
Northern Iberia has seen the Home Army move its forces closer to the coast while the west has seen similar movements.

The Imperial Air Force has also begun to see a focus in the East with the relocation of several Anti-air systems, ballistic, and cruise missiles.

Several transport vessels have also begun approaching Greece with supplies for the population, moving towards the Gulf of Corinth. It had been warned any attempt to impede them will be seen as an act of aggression and a crime against the Empire.

ARKADIEN — It wasn't long until the Greek situation garnered the attention of Leithania, with the result being a public statement by the Kaiserin herself.

"It's become obvious that the Iberians refuse to read the room or listen to statements by great powers such as Britain and America. So instead Leithania, as a nation of Action, will speak alongside the British and Americans. In response to this war of idle threats, Leithania presents not a threat but an ultimatum; If the Iberians insist on their continued, forceful expansion, Leithania will be forced to contain their illegal expansion, by force. Iberia has 36 hours to leave Constantinople and Greece before the Commonwealth intervenes. Iberia is no longer an Equal, it is a rodent."

Shortly after the scathing words were delivered, the Iberian embassy, like the British embassy in Iberia, received an eviction notice; If the Embassy isn't cleared out in 36 hours, all foreign embassy staff will be arrested via revocation of Decree №2150 rights to Iberian Embassy Staff, effectively revoking their legal status to reside in Leithania.

It was at a similar time that the joint base in Kiel was reported to be entering a heighten state of readiness, with the Astroport in Wilhelmshaven following shortly thereafter. Additionally the Strategic Missile Forces in Vienna, Munich, and Frankfurt were all put on high alert, with the Aerial Fleet also being mobilized. It seemed that Leithania wasn't playing around anymore.

_{TAKING A GAMBLE}

1948 marked the arrival of Visok Kockar. It was very clear that he hadn’t thought out his arrival, or his name, or what the hell he was actually going to do. The Republic was much different then the only other Republic he’d ever lived in. Rather than long strips of asphalt with towering skyscrapers and a blue sky, he was met with cobblestone paths winding past stubby ancient towers and homes, accented by only street lamps and the occasional uncleaned rubble pile. It was truly a strange and foreign place for the man, but this was the one place he believed that he could succeed, he just had to take a gamble.

By early 1949, he’d stumbled up the coast to Zadar, finding the ruins of a once beautiful city. Rebuilding had clearly already been underway for the past four years, but yet the eerie dread of war could be felt haunting the place like a great specter. On the outskirts of the city, a decently sized building stood vacant, a sign reading “Prvi dođe, prvi posluži” hanging on its intact door. It was clear that the building hadn’t remained perfectly unscathed, parts of the façade crumbling away and cracks being clear to the naked eye, but for Visok, it was exactly what he’d been needing. It took two years of odd jobs and miscellaneous patchwork to get the building looking healthy again, but by the time it was finished, it was well worth the effort. 1951 saw the First Economic Rebirth, a period fondly remembered by those who were alive as “the time in which the Republic was as beautiful as Paris, and life was as sinful as Vegas.”

Visok was a large part of the latter half of the saying, opening a casino out of the building the year before the Rebirth, which led to soaring profits, and feelings of never ending joy. This of course was only a side-effect of the casino’s booze, and the never ending sound of big band music. For the next ten years, the casino remained a stable business, making itself known to both locals and tourists who came to visit it, however in stark contrast to the business, Visok began to deteriorate, and by 1968 it was clear he didn’t have much longer. This of course led him down a rabbit hole, the one that everyone must face at the end of their line, the only problem was he refused to let himself relax on the long fall. He refused the idea that he could die, running down a list of different solutions, each one giving no better a chance than the last. Religion advised him to pass peacefully, herbal remedies only made him worse, and doctors all said the same. PCB was the last option on the list. He’d long heard of the shenanigans they pull, alongside the seemingly miraculous developments they’d made. Money was no object to him, and as far as he was concerned if it cost him his fortune to live as long as he damn pleased, he’d write the check in a heartbeat.

When PCB initially received Visok’s letters and requests for assistance, there was a general hesitance to say anything at all, much less yes or no. But by the time the twenty-eighth letter came in the mail, they decided they may as well throw a bone. They knew damn well they couldn’t solve the problem, not with what they had. He was dead regardless of if PCB helped or not. The first meeting between the two parties was swift, Visok agreeing to be the guinea pig for a new system PCB was working on, and PCB guaranteeing that they’d maintain his business and work to keep him alive. Much to Visok’s displeasure, he’d come to find that he’d be the test subject for a cryogenic chamber the company had been developing for the Government. But, getting a little freezer burn was worth the possibility of living just a tad longer.

It wouldn’t be until January of 2083 that anyone thawed him out, and it was only due to a janitor sitting on top of what they thought was an old metal cooler, but was in all reality the tube which contained Visok. To say that he was disgruntled would be an understatement, as when he finally managed to stumble out of it, the first thing he did was pick the janitor up by the neck of his shirt, cursing at him in English much to the other party's confusion. When he finally did calm down, the reality of the situation began to sink in. Marching around the building, he eventually found a Mr. Bojanić, not the one he had spoken to in 1968 though, no, this was that Mr. Bojanić’s great grandson. What ensued was the strangest conversation possibly ever had. It was 2083, Visok’s Casino had been sealed off in 1982 and maintained externally and internally, and Visok was still on the path to death, and fortunately two of those situations could be changed.

For the first half of the year, PCB worked to keep Visok alive by doing their best to either replace organs (whose replacements would also then begin to fail) or just minimize any pain he was suffering. After the success of the ‘God’ Machine, the idea of manufacturing not just organs, but an entirely new body for Visok began to float around. It’d be a good selling point for the equipment, alongside finally fulfilling the now 115 year old deal between the two sides. This however left one question “how do we stick him in a new body without actually completely remaking him and his memories?” The solution they came to was questionable but ultimately the best one, which consisted of manufacturing an artificial head to contain his original brain, and connect it to the body. This left the question of “what should the artificial head look like?” Ultimately utility was deemed more important than looks, and subsequently a titanium cube was deemed the best option, even though it would require additional strengthening in the neck of the body to support it. Visok wasn’t opposed to the ideal, it’d keep him alive after all, however the head was a tinge boring as a bland silvery box. Equipped with some white and purple paint, he saw about changing the appearance of it, much to the displeasure of the workers watching him. Leaving the side with the eye holes drilled out a plain white, he set about painting the other sides like faces of a dice, the side with the eyes acting as the ‘two’ face. With the cosmetics finished, and the body and eyes being prepared, it was time for the operation. It was brief, the only difficulty coming in actually connecting the metallic skull to the body, which could best be summarized as “plugging a square block into the round hole but with a human body.”

Visok Kockar was best described as the body being cremated, however the man who left PCB was best described as out of place, and a living cube. Visok Kockar was dead, but Kralj Kocke was very much alive, after all, his gamble had paid off.
