*Sweden and in this situation I like to imagine the generally brashness of Melker I led to the Imperial Parliament having a collective think before booting him, causing a sort of divide between Republicans for the establishment of a democracy and Monarchists for the restoration of Melker, ultimately leading to the collapse of the Scandinavian Empire.

I'll be a bit off and on for the next week or so, just feeling a bit burnt out at the moment. I'll be available on discord as always, but you're not gonna see much in terms of RMB activity.

Nothing is wrong with that. Consider how busy a lot of us are right now.

The thing I don't understand about the governing bodies of this game, the World Assembly, is the repealing of things almost immediately after passage of the act in question. Like, what is up with that?

I think when it comes to SC resolutions like Liberations and stuff, when the Liberation is finished, it gets repealed, since the point of the resolution is completed.

HMS Vanguard - the so-called 'Last Battleship' of the Royal Navy. It had sailed to Mombassa pending the conclusion of the King's visit to Kenya to meet with the Prime Ministers of the African Dominions. Vanguard had never seen combat, nor had she ever fired her guns in anger. Being completed after the second world war, her primary role had been as a reserve ship, and occasionally acting as a Royal Yacht, historically transporting King George VI and the Royal Family to South Africa. It was eventually to be sold for scrap, however, a sentimental Elizabeth II personally ordered its scrapping to be cancelled. It had been preserved as a museum ship up until shortly before The Occupation, after which it became ignored and all but discarded. However, recognising its historical importance as well as its links to his own family, King Arthur personally ordered that it be completely refurbished. Battleships were effectively outdated by now, however, there was no harm in upgrading its components and some of its armaments - after all, it was unlikely to ever be called to active duty, and it's main duty now was ceremonial duties such as, once again, transporting the Royal Family.

    HMS VANGUARD | ADMIRAL's SUITE

Arthur leaned against a cabinet, looking down at the floor, while Charlotte sat on the end of the bed, looking at him.

"Do you realise what you're asking of me?" Arthur asked, looking back up at his wife.
Charlotte stood up, stoic, "I'm not asking anything of you." but her stoicism quickly turned to empathy. "Arthur... you know I've always been by your side - no matter what it was. And you, you've stood up for me even when the rest of them didn't. But when I look at the things you've done for this country--your people... I left my people, at first I regretted it but when I look at what America's become, how far they've fallen -- and then I look at how much your people accepted me, I realise... they're my people now, too. Knowing that, I... I can't keep going like this. I can't just stand beside you shaking hands, smiling--"
"--but you're not acting, Charlotte, when you shake people's hands, when you smile at them, it's real." Arthur interjected.
"Yes--but I can do so much more! I have more time to watch the news than anyone, almost more than my mother-in-law. I see the suffering across your Empire, you can't fix all these problems on your own. Maybe nobody can, but instead of just following you about being a nice ornament, I can help make a difference in people's lives." she said, with conviction.
    Arthur sighed. "Alright." he said.
    "w-what?" Charlotte replied, surprised.
"I'll do it. I don't know how, but I'll do it." Arthur said.

Charlotte had never asked much of Arthur, he'd always stood by her, but there was just a moment of doubt considering what she'd just asked of him. Depending on how things went from here on out, Charlotte could soon be being called "Senator Taylor"...

Dubrovnik, the Adriatic Coast. SMS Tegetthoff has only been dry docked for a month. In that month some eight million dollars that would have otherwise been spent on her maintenance had been repurposed by the navy. However, for all of the cost saving that dry docking her had provided, there was also the downside of having a completely useless and still ever so slightly expensive vessel. This was currently the topic of discussion in the Sponza Palace. First to speak was the Serbian delegation, which brought up the point of the British HMS Vanguard. It wasn’t an active combat vessel, but it was still nonetheless a symbol of Britannia and served as a diplomatic transport, and they believed that doing something similar with the Tegetthoff wouldn’t be unreasonable. Following this the Slovenian delegation spoke on the absolute absurdity of doing such a thing. A month before and these same men had met in the same walls to all speak about doing the exact opposite. Now they wanted to reverse it so quickly? Had cost not been a complaint during the original meeting? Wouldn’t recomissioning her just defeat the purpose of any savings the navy had made? A swift rebuttal followed from the Croatian’s lead delegate, who mentioned that, while it would be silly, the Coast otherwise had no real diplomatic icons. It was just that nation south of Lethania and East of Italy.

The ensuing debate lasted two hours, most of which consisted of the Serbian and Slovenian delegation going at each other, but ultimately it was the Albanian delegation who proposed the most satisfactory ideal: A costly overhaul that would ultimately save money in the long run while also giving the aging vessel purpose. Her old engines would be ripped out and donated to the local naval museum, and her hull given a how to say “open floor plan” by removing most of the central bulkheads, save the bow and stern where the gunnery and fighting compartments were located. After this, larger rooms would be constructed in the emptied out lower decks to provide a more comfortable dwelling for any diplomat travelling abroad. Her fighting crew would be severely reduced, and in place of her old fuel burning engines, two reactors would be installed to provide more power and a larger range. Though there were some complaints from the Slovenian’s assistant delegate who claimed that “Tegetthoff is an old fighting ship, not an old ocean liner”, the vote ultimately was in favour 12-4.

As work on the overhaul began, concerns regarding her aged armament were once again brought up, mainly her AA capability. To ease the nerves of the Parliament, the shipyard in charge of her overhaul also saw about removing the old 66mm’s atop the main turrets and replacing the twelve deck mounted guns with six [blank] CIWS’s. While her interior was being reworked, painting crews set about painting her to make her look a little less, dreadnoughty. Her turrets were painted a lapis blue alongside her draft, while maintaining her grey freeboard. Though silly looking, it provided the effect they wanted. Now they just needed to wait for her overhaul to be finished, and find someone to show it off to.

I had to do something to replace the carrier post.

"A thousand Arabs means a thousand knives, delivered anywhere day or night. It means a thousand camels. That means a thousand packs of high explosives and a thousand crack rifles. We can cross Arabia while Johnny Turk is still turning round, and smash his railways. And while he's mending them, I'll smash them somewhere else. In thirteen weeks, I can have Arabia in chaos."
        — Lawrence of ARABIA

EGYPTIAN—JORDANIAN BORDER — The sound of shifting sand and labored footsteps were the only noises everyone could hear as they walked through the cold, dark desert. There were 8 of them, with 7 donning their digicamo uniforms and cloaks. The fact that they were so blatantly SAG was a bit off putting to the guide, however there was nothing he could do at the moment. Fortunately the night had sapped the desert of all its heat, with no Sun to blanket the area in its oven-like temperatures.

After about an hour of walking, Koenig rose his fist up to signal everyone to stop. He then made the hand signal for everyone to get down. As everyone hit the deck, the reason for the concern became apparent, as a pair of bright lights began moving down a nearby road, with the sound of a small truck emanating from them. Everyone readied their weapons, which primarily consisted of G75 rifles and its variants.

A voice suddenly rang out within the heads of everyone, save for the guide. Don't fire until I say.

The usage of PsyComms was generally normal for SAG units, though it never failed to send shivers down someone's spine the first time they hear it. The guide had no idea what was happening, of course, as he didn't have the augments to use PsyComm nor the ability to access theirs. Nevertheless, as the vehicle slowed to a stop, and infantry began to dismount, it became readily apparent that someone snitched somewhere.

Dismounts, 5 times infantryman front, by the truck. Leo, get ready to knock that truck over.

Leonard nodded in agreement, before reaching around and grabbing a tube off his back, he then partially got up, resting it on his shoulder. Meanwhile, the five soldiers began to fan out from the truck, with a sixth on a turret of sorts. It was then that the crucial order came in through the PsyComm.

      Open fire.

Within a few crucial moments of that order being Leonard popped up with his missile launcher, and a loud POP sounded, with a vapor trail flying right into the truck. A loud explosion erupted as the rest of the squad began opening fire with their various weapons, the pops of the weapons mixing with the popping from the technical's ammunition cooking off. The flashing lights of muzzle flashes, the yellow tracers from the Jordanian weapons, and bright orange flame from the vehicle illuminated the area rather thoroughly.

Within a few seconds, the firefight was over, dead Jordanian infantry all around a burning truck. From there, the group continued on their way to At-Taybeh, a city just across the border from Israel. It was almost sunrise when the group stopped, with Luzia and Cecylia being told to scout ahead. Meanwhile, Koenig and Bachmeier were talking to the guide about the last couple of directions.

"So we just head 10 kilometers east? About that way?" Koenig pointed his hand due east as he spoke Arabic almost flawlessly.

The guide nodded, "It should be just about past the hills. It's not hard to miss."

Koenig nodded, "Thank you for your help." He then looked at Bachmeier and gave a curt nod. Bachmeier then clamped her hand down over the guide's nose and mouth, before sending a serrated, double edged knife into the man's throat. Koenig looked down as the man struggled for his life, those last few precious moments before he passed. The man's lifeless body fell to the ground as Bachmeier let go of him, cleaning her knife off on her leg.

Bachmeier looked at Koenig, who simply gave a nod and began giving orders in Leithanian, "We'll leave the body here, nobody'll find it for a while. Let's go meet up with the others." The others simply nodded in agreement and moved on to meet up with Luzia and Cecylia. Once meeting up, the group then made their way into At-Taybeh, sneaking in under the cover of early dawn and requisitioning a house from one of the locals. There they'll rest until the time is right...

A self-styled 'revolutionary', Ism Oudii, has been putting on some bad apples in Krasnaya because he felt that H Douglas/Scheinenland has treated him unfairly, so he started a short-lived revolution to end the 'dictatorship' of Krasnaya's Superintendent of State.

I don't have any explainations left for that, but it is recommendable that necessary actions must be taken to prevent this guy or his puppets from ever annoying the region or any of Krasnaya's embassies.
