Tero | ??? Years Since Exile

Since the establishment of the provisional government in Brazil, the nation has fell into disarray. Corrupt politicians have tried and tried again to seize power for themselves by claiming the title of Chancellor. None have yet to succeed in toppling the provisional Chancellor but the issue still stood. The populous saw huge amounts of money diverted away from their basic needs and instead poured into unnecessary liabilities that only the wealthiest of citizens could hope to benefit from. The military wasn't much better, having to deal with the loss of a war and unneeded massive terms of reparations being forced upon them and their nation would nearly tear it apart with an almost constant string of mutinies occurring for a full third of a year at one point. Things would actually begin to improve however with the American Occupation Force sent to bring stability to the nation. Under their efforts, the quality of life greatly increased, development of the Atstrakan Shipyards had finally been completed, and a new colony had been established in the Bay of Bengal.

As things improved for the Dutch Confederation, the government-in-exile would finally return to Earth to oversee a new era over Brazil and her many claims across the planet. The Chairman and President of the Greater Core Triumvirate would meet in New Utrecht with the dutch chancellor to officially start the process of governmental transition. The american military would soon be pulled out of Brazil completely while Triumvirate forces would move in to the region in place of them. The dutch army and navy would be absorbed into the greater military of the Triumvirate as a result as well. The Confederation would now be officially dissolved and the Greater Core Triumvirate would be recognized as the successor to it as a provincial government would be founded in New Utrecht with joint plans by both the Americans and Vicavalasians to retake the Netherlands Proper underway.

Voliua System | The Remnants of Verilha

A Star Destroyer makes its arrival above Verilha, the first planet colonized by the former Dutch Confederation on the basis of providing more room for their growing population. The planets under their governance were occupied by the Xahkuulian Empire after they defeated the dutch navy at the Battle of Wiltersted. Since then, the Triumvirate has rebuilt and reclaimed its former homeland but the fate of their former colonies remained a secret to them....until now.

During the trip through hyperspace, the admiral has organized several fighter squadrons and a message to be broadcasted all across the system, announcing the return of their government to help put things back on track. However, what was seen by him would devastate him and his men. Upon their exit from hyperspace, a desolate, barren, and cold wasteland took up the space where a lush, tropical paradise once stood. When seeing this for the first time in years, the reply was of pure shock, horror, sadness, and rage. Some of the crew would be sobbing uncontrollably, some ball up their fists and smash walls, others simply stare in utter silence as the carnage of what took place so long ago is now presented to them in a gruesome form.

Fighter Squadrons would be sent to both the surface of the planet and across the rest of the system to see if anything else happened. Reports from the surface would come in a few hours later. 98% of all plant and wildlife were now extinct, the settlements set up have been purged of all inhabitants, and any other infrastructure set up had been bombarded into sludge by turbolaser fire. Across the system, things only got worse....

The Atstrakan Shipyards had been all but erased, leaving only a field of scrap where a orbital shipyard should've been. Statischel's military outposts seem like they had never even been built. And Wiltersted has been bombarded to such an extent, it could no longer be considered a planet, more like a miniature asteroid field. Over in the Blauweparel system, the natives of Ci' Lanishu had been eradicated completely with them survivors being either shipped off to rot in Xahkuulian prisons or were just simply cut down and slaughtered like livestock. The planet is still somewhat inhabitable, but it would take decades if not centuries before it could recover. The last few remaining survivors who had been lucky enough to escape the horrors brought on by the occupation had hidden on Monomon, a planet that has now been starved of most of if not all of its resources. It's atmosphere now a thick, grey smog that casts the surface below into a darkness that's barely visible.

The admiral slams his fists down onto the deck, tears streaming down a look of pain and fury. There is nothing more that can be done other than to mourn the loss of countless lives to the evil filth that casted them into darkness. The Triumvirate is contacted and is informed of the horrific scene they'd just witness. The strongest partners and allies of the Triumvirate would also be contacted and invited to observe the horrendous action that had just occurred. From this day onward, nobody shall rest until the Xahkuulian Empire isn't just brought to justice, but completely destroyed just how they treated our planets. The Calaria Dynasty shall be struck down and erased so that no more of this madness can ensue. We shall have our revenge....

Millions of refugees seemed to flee to the borders of these empires from the western sectors, all of them telling stories of 'demons', 'marauders' and a fleet so big they put the light of the sun out. Stories of trial by fire on their homeworlds came next and it went on and on. It could be determined some of these weren't connected but many were. The way they described ships swarming suns, dropping corpses onto surfaces of planets only for them to rise and wreak havoc.

One may of thought this was an alien problem and isolated to the far reaches of the galaxy but what was coming has been coming for hundreds and hundreds of years... straight to sol...

In a civilized system nearest to Cinton's primary system a red haze appeared and out of it one may of expected combat ships... war but it was far from that. A wreckage poured out, large chunks of a ship and other weird stuff came out and floated in the space then followed thousands of ships, nearly a thousand of them were larger than any mainstream ship fielded by any military though luckily these ships weren't for offense though did carry defensive ability. Escorting them was even more ships of varying class, all still quite large and armed though didnt seem to take any offensive action. The way they moved seemed sometimes too fluid or too perfect for organics to pilot..
The largest of the ships also seemed to have a passive signal... simply static with random noises in between.

For hours the ships did nothing... there was no sound.. just nothing. Just the ships facing towards the nearest civilized planet.. so close to it.

K'Kol | Imperial Crossroads

Situated a mere light-year from the imperial capital, a local defense fleet quietly stands guard above the pleasant world of K'Kol. Fighters run practice drills alongside massive warships that patiently sit as intended, the flowing of trade goes about as normal, and life on the planet as a whole remains stable and protected. On deck aboard a fleet carrier, the Admiral in charge of leading the fleet stares deep into the unknown abyss of the cosmos while the crew around him operate the vessel without trouble. For about 10 minutes, he just peers from the deck, contempt with the role he'd been given. Suddenly a sensor begins going off, snapping the Admiral out of his trance almost immediately. As he fixes himself to observe, it begins going off rapidly until it's the only thing you could hear.

A few moments after the sensors, it seemed as if a million or more ships had been summoned from thin air as many fleets' worth of vessels reveal themselves from crimson mist. This sends shockwaves of panic across the fleet, who instantly turn their batteries towards the mass. The lead Admiral however gives the order to hold fire, as they didn't appear to be hostile. Still on high alert, a message would be crafted for the outsiders to receive that would let them know where they were as well as ask who and what they were. Until a response could be received, it was a seemingly never-ending stare-down between the outsiders and the defense fleet...

Not a single ship responded to the call. Even with the massive presence before them it seemed as if there was no life... there was only silence.
There was a 2 hour gap between the next action. The ships began to organize again, the largest of them taking point, coming closer to the planet. As the rest stopped moving the biggest one continued a slow descent towards a field, its weapons and defenses still offline and seemingly holding no intention to engage in combat, only to land. As it did, it was unknown why gravity itself wasn't destroying this massive piece of metal larger than Manhattan island itself.
The ship seemed old with no sign of any windows or even a bridge for commanders. It was sleek in design though its age showed with bits and pieces of its outer hull missing, scratches and dents from space debris amongst other things.

There seemed to be large bay doors in its side, closed and sealed with a faded triangle with unknown words in it. There was also another nearby though a bit smaller, wide enough for 6 people to enter at a time and about 20 ft tall, signficantly smaller than the other but seemingly more suitable as an entrance. Both being sealed however nobody was coming in or out. Each door had a pad with two options for them to choose from, a digital button on top the top of the pad and one at the bottom, any security seemed to be bypassed already.

As the ship stood still it emitted humming noises, deep buzzing almost with some high pitch noises every few minutes.

As the massive ship made it's way towards the surface, one of the cruisers had made a failed attempt to fire upon it. The vessel was so unbelievably massive, the few shots did nothing at all to it which prompted the rest of the fleet to continue to observe. It would set off an untold amount of planetary communications signals and alerts when it landed, shaking the very ground around it as the weight of the ship took it's toll on the surrounding wilderness. A large force of close to 700,000 troops would be mobilized and positioned in various locations around the landing site to monitor any further action.

All the while this was all being documented and sent back to the capital, where the government would decide the next course of action. K'Kol's populous would also be notified of the scene, urging them to prepare for a worst-case scenario if need-be. One of the many generals leading the army would personally lead 1500 men closer to the ship get a better look at it. Despite the careful approach being taken to cope with this, the imperial forces on the ground and in orbit would still waste no time in violently dealing with the outsiders despite an astronomical numbers disadvantage. Another hour would pass before reinforcements consisting of 60 warships would arrive just beyond K'Kol's moon, patiently observing...

The ships in orbit did nothing, like before they watched like patient hunters waiting to pounce upon prey. The ship on the surface like before did nothing, even with all the waiting. the doors didn't open and whatever was waiting inside seemed to be waiting for them to choose either the smaller entry or the bay doors. As it stood its metal creaked and groaned, settling for the first time in who knows how many years... Though for some nearby soldiers some could maybe hear distant whispers, distant occasional slamming from behind the meters of metal that was its armoured hull... Was it imagination? Maybe... or was it beasts and a tiny bit of unchecked psychic ability... only patience could tell.

The general leads his men towards what is perceived to be the entrance to the ship: a large bay door at the front end where they just so happened to be. They switch on individual lights coming from their weapons as they slowly creep into the massive corridor, ready for any and everything that comes their way.

Up in space, a small squadron of Legion-Class Fighters depart from a fleet carrier with their weapons disabled. They've been sent on a short reconnaissance mission to scope out the composition of the outsiders' caravan to see just what they're dealing with. As the fighters weave their way around the ships, they find ship designs that don't resemble that of any other craft in known space. Some of these ships move in a way that could be considered "unnatural" when compared to their own crafts.

When the bay doors opened a 7 ft wave of a red liquid with the consistency of blood and taste of metal poured out onto whoever was close, following it was a red mist tasting of copper and seemed to burn the lungs though temporarily as it quickly moved above the ship like a cloud. Inside the former liquid stained the floor and walls of what looked like a hangar. As soon as someone walked in lights turned on though only a few exploded on activation.
The hangar was large and due to the noise it attracted something, there was a loud bloodcurdling roar and slams against the metal though whatever did it was yet to make itself known.. But is was close... somewhere though for now the general and his men were mot impeded.
The lights lead to a 10 ft door that opened automatically via sensor the corridor behind the door covered the feet of the soldiers with the red liquid, occasionally the troops could feel something crawling over their feet, foreign insects or "water" bugs. lights activated as they continued. for a few more corridors it was the same deal with the liquid though soon they came across what seemed like labs, windows showed robotic appendages coming from the ceiling and doing things to bodies or due to errors butchering its subjects completely until only gore remained. In this specific part of the ship screams could be heard but who they came from was unknown. Behind the group there was some noise then something spoke. It was a humanoid robot covered in blood, one of its arms having a saw and the other a having a hand with sharp ends to the fingers while its head was nothing more than a sensor, its shell long gone.
"Alatulya, mana na- i quámë?, it spoke, sometimes either being too quiet, too loud or filled with static. It's saw then began to activate before it loudly exclaimed 'Hlívë!"

Like the ship on the surface every single ship lacked a traditional bridge, viewports and most things. Every single one of them even the ones meant for combat seemed to be missing weapons though upon closer inspection it could be determined that the weapons were encased and would raise if provoked.
The colony ships were similar in appearance to the ship on the surface but a bit smaller.
Even with the fighters coming close the ships didnt get aggravated, only remaining still.

The High Council of The Culture meets to debate whether to investigate this fleet of Aliens further. The Scientific vessel "Clarke" is
dispatched for now to the Western sectors after the intervention of The Empress herself.
