I got the name from my brother's first name, lol. My three favourite countries are Australia, Britain and the US, so I sort of meshed their histories together in making the backstory.
With the news reports coming in from the protectorate of 
Edmundian Pluto, citizens in the Mother Country back home are on edge. Men, women and children all huddle around their radioes and television sets, listening to and watching the news coming in live. in Gladesopolis, the Prime Minister and the Reigning Monarch have both convened a special meeting of Imperial Ministers to discuss the crisis. PM Nagel Pallet is almost at the brink of mental breakdown, especially since this has just come after the viral pandemic on the homeland. Meanwhile, people with friends or family in Pluto anxiously wait for any news of their loved ones. In the Trading Post, a spontaneous vigil has started with citizens leaving behind candles and flowers outside the gates...
The news only gets worse as yet another disaster befalls Pluto; an old enemy of Dogetopia, the 
The Vengeful Empire of Japan, has emerged and with an all new and improved military. The planet of Pluto is turning out to be a massive battlefield; with the infected monsters plaguing the land, Dogetopian and Edmundian forces on the ropes, the Empire of Darkness coming in while the Edmundians and Dogetopians are weakened, and the Japanese there for the killing blow. It is doubtful if any civilians will survive the ensuing carnage. The Lulamoonians, Dogetopians, Edmundians, Kitsunes, and Lunarians all stand against the Cahdigr beasts, Japan, and the empire of darkness, but more allies are needed, such as the now reclusive Pingus, the gods of Wealth, or even new allies, such as the newly discovered planet of Stressenbolg or Illuvaria.
The Dogetopians at the trading post begin to lose hope, and suicide rates begin to rise, while others become more desperate to fight for their future, enlisting to fight against the threats that are besieging the land. Dogetopian, Lulamoonian, and Kitsune ambassadors and military officials become a regular sight as they are advising PM Naget on what to do in this situation, offering their support. Noot Industries offers cheap prices on their high-tech military goods, knowing that if the universe is in ruins, nobody will buy from them.
The Prime Minister is buoyed by the overwhelming support, and with his other Ministers and government officials begins planning for some sort of counter-attack to evacuate as many civilians as possible from the area. He knows that there are still pockets of Edmundian resistance still holding out, and that most of the citizens who are still alive are sheltering in the nuclear bunkers. The immediate priority, therefore, is to make sure those civilians stay alive. The Imperial Civil Defence Agency is instructed to stay in contact with the 50 fallout shelters spread throughout the protectorate, while a plan is developed to reach them somehow...
The Dogetopians at the trading post begin to feel hope that the war might end on the coalition’s terms, and begin to show public support to the Edmundian government and people, holding rallies and events to keep morale up...
The Edmundians appreciate the extra support - they will need all the help they can get. In the churches, religious leaders hold special services to "pray for Pluto", while people lay candles and flowers in their driveways and front yards, and fly flags on their balconies to show their support. Still, the pressure proves too much for Prime Minister Nagel Pallet. A few days later, he is taken ill and rushed to the hospital. He lives, but is too unwell to continue as the PM. In his absence, King Edward I quickly uses his emergency powers to elevate the Deputy Prime Minister, Joe Scomo, to the top job, who is quietly sworn in at the Imperial Bungalow. Scomo boasts impressive credentials - as a former Chief Executive Officer of the largest coal mining firm in Edmundia, Black Rock Ltd, he was crucial in gaining the support of the powerful minerals lobby for Pallet. However, was he up to the job of running the country through this crisis?
The first action Prime Minister Joe Scomo does, after allocating some government funds so that Nagel Pallet can have a rejuvenating holiday trip to the Liki Islands, is to deploy extra Imperial Army troops to evacuate civilians in Edmundian Pluto. Since the crisis began, he has become aware that more and more citizens have begun calling for a re-evaluation of government priorities. Prominent Edmundians are now asking whether or not building a colony in another dimension was such a good idea after all, and there are growing demands for the Imperial Government to abandon Pluto altogether, the risks to life outweighing any strategic benefits...
When Pluto falls, the Imperial Government is left in shock. The extra troops deployed are urgently re-routed to return to the Mother Country, while the Imperial Civil Defence Agency is tasked with administering the refugee camps along with the LUS. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence once again offers to sell Maximum Area Defence (MAD) force-field dome technology to protect Dogetopian and Lunarian cities...
(and yeah, I forgot about the city-protecting force-field tech I already set up like 3 years ago)
The Dogetopians begin to buy up the forcefield in bulk, seeing that they have no other opportunity. It’s simply too dangerous to go without one at this point...
The Department of Religious Affairs also involves itself in the relief and recovery efforts, deploying specialist Exorcism Officers to the LUS and Dogetopia, in the hope that they will be able to combat any Cahdigr breakout before it reaches Pluto-proportions...
By now, it is common knowledge that religious paranaphelia is one of the ways to combat Cahdigr, which leads many to speculate about it being a demonic entity. Many Dogetopians and Lulamoonians begin to convert to various religions as a result...
With all the Edmundian aid moving to Reality One to assist, the Church of Edmundia sees this as an opportunity too good to lose. A hundred missionaries are deployed along with an Edmundian Red Cross aid transport ship to convert as many Dogetopians as possible, and to “shield them from Cahdigr”. As God only has jurisdiction over Reality Three, the level of protection this will actually offer is dubious. However, the Church is willing to increase its numbers of devotees and sends agents ahead of the missionaries to scout out any suitable buildings to use as churches.
Meanwhile, the Liki Islands, with its economy still in recovery mode from the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions, institutes a bold new plan to try and reboot their suffering tourism industry. In partnership with Air Edmundia, Liki Air, the Great Edmundian Space Agency and the Imperial Ministry of Tourism and Culture, the Liki Islands Federal Government launches “Liki Empire Spacelines”, a transportation service operating between Realities One and Three. Ships depart from Wishangton CD and New Coraline City, travelling to Lahabana via spaceports in Neptune. To kickstart the project, the Imperial Government has bankrolled a new Spaceport in Lahabana that was built during the lockdowns and commissioned the construction of two new Space Liners. Ads are run in Dogetopian and Lunarian media, telling citizens to “escape to paradise for a few weeks”. With this new convenient mode of travel, government officials and business leaders hope that more Lunarian and Dogetopian tourists will be enticed to come...

It has been a good couple of weeks since the battle of Pluto concluded. With heightened tensions all around, and the Allies facing off against multiple enemies, the Ministry of Defence convenes a meeting with Lunarian and Dogetopian diplomatic officials in the MoD headquarters in central Gladesopolis. The meeting is regarding the Joint Autonomous Combat Domination Programme (JACDP), a joint military technology programme between the three countries. The aim of the JACDP was to provide each participating nation with an autonomous weapons platform able to effectively control any battlefield. The result? Each country now had its own 12-metre tall Vibranium-plated battle robot, powered by an internal fusion reactor and capable of making autonomous decisions in combat thanks to a sophisticated AI system. The Edmundian robot, named “Imperial Battlestar”, was currently under construction in a remote military facility somewhere in northern Great Edmundia. The meeting is convened to discuss speeding up the construction process, and to streamline deployment in the field...
The Lunarian officials quickly arrive at the MoD headquarters. On scene are Kayleigh-Anne Sitwell, a Kangaroo who is also the Lunarian military attachè to Edmundia, Gregory Hunter, the human Lunarian Ambassador to the Empire, Holly Shorten, a Dingo official in charge of administering the JACDP programme in the LUS, and Bill Neighty, another diplomatic official of Lulamoonian heritage.

This is an important message from the Regional government of Altay:
We have just installed a new embassy policy. It's loosely based on the old one but with many important changes.
2. The ammount of embassies shall not exceed 75, not including the embassies with Altay's Colonies and Protected regions.
3.
a) An embassy is perceived primarily as a means of easy communication between two regions regardless of interregional relations. Therefore, prohibition of embassy posting may be a great limiting factor in the process of establishing an embassy
b) By opening an embassy in Altay, a region automatically subscribes to Altay's propaganda broadcasted during Altaic state holidays and other important occasions and milestones. The embassy region's competent officers are free to adjust the details of their region's subscription, or fully end it, via Altay's RMB or via a TG to Leader Eastern Tatarstan.
4.
a) Any region seeking to establish an embassy in Altay is entitled to a R/D non-aggression pact between it and Altay. To establish the pact, an agreement has to be made between the embassy region and Altay either via Altay's RMB or via a TG to Leader Eastern Tatarstan.
b) The agreement lasts even after the embassy is abolished and has to be revoked by one of the sides either via Altay's RMB or via a TG to Leader Eastern Tatarstan.
c) Those non-agression pacts obtained prior to the 25th of July 2021, which have not been rendered invalid by that date, remain unaffected except for clause 4, letter b of this paragraph.
5.
a) An embassy may be closed only by the competent officers of the embassy region or by Leader Eastern Tatarstan.
b) Altay may close its embassies only to maintain the embassy cap or during states of emergency declared by the RGA or by Leader Eastern Tatarstan.
c) When maintaining the embassy cap, embassies with regions which do not have a non-agression pact with Altay and/or prohibit embassy posting and/or have had little to none diplomatic/casual engagement with Altay are to be abolished primarily.
d) Such an embassy may be spared if deemed important enough by either the RGA or by Leader Eastern Tatarstan.
