The Anvil of Justice

In this first issue of issues (ha ha bad non pun), your leader will decide the justice of criminals, vigilantes, and perhaps heroes.

Of The Virgin Islands:

It was a dark night, and a family of four were huddling for warmth. It was cold due to a polar vortex that reached northern Mexico especially hard. The family of four were Guadelupan Catholics, a group which was shunned by many Virgins.

Fire could be made, but food? That was another matter entirely. In order to sustain his family, the father of two children and a husband Rico stole food to sustain themselves.

A catholic despising magistrate sentenced Rico to three weeks of hard labor, however many pointed out the magistrates obvious bias and called for a non anviled justice.

It seems an open and shut case, he was simply sustaining themsleves. But Rico is a Guadalupen, a radical one at that who wants independence. Some of your advisors are suggesting this may be a good way to break this movement, and others say it is a miscarriage of justice and Rico should be immediately released. Some also further say stealing food no matter the circumstances warrant this.

"We treat the guadeloupes poorly, and it's obvious that there is a bias against them in our justice system. We cannot simply stop at letting this man go free, but let us purge the system of this."

The North Atlantic Provinces:

A young woman of good countenance is brought before you, but she dies bit show it out of sheer grief. She eventually composes herself, and tells you of her predicament.

Her brother, a mentally challenged man himself, of an iq of 60 murdered a man for no apparent reason in Alabama. His defence- one which due to his mental condition he could not compose, was that he was too mentally challenged to understand his actions, and so should he in a mental institution. The vast majority of the public and your advisors agree, but there is still considerable dissent.

"Outrageous! The law is the law, he murdered, and should face it. What does it matter if he cannot perform mathematics or reads on a 2nd grade level? He commited a crime all the same!"

"That is if he really is mentally challenged, those things can be faked you know."

"And another thing that works me up, why are children treated kinder then adults? If little timmy accidentally shoots his father and his lisp along with his fear of strangers prevent him from defending himself, off to jail for the rest of his life! See if little timmy will break my tv now!"

Turisland:

Everyone knows that Turisland and the third Reich are upon the brink of war. Some are calling for all facism and all forms of it to be banned, including on the internet. Before you is 13 year old John, who frequently expressed pro facist sentiment. Some are asking what you should do with him, but most already have an opinion.

"Flog the wily teen! His parents should have, but we shall take that responsibility. A mandatory flogging every year for all children wouldnt hurt either!"

"Have him thrown in a cell, we are about to go to war with the facists, we cant have him running around!"

North Atlantic crab fishers have been fishing in your waters despite numerous warnings, it seems the north Atlantic side has scarce crabs. Law provides you to jail them, though some voices offer alternative approaches. And your uncle wants target practice
