So the geese are getting a little long in the tooth, so to speak. Has anyone bequeathed their nations? I'm wondering who'll look after the geese when I CTE.
Haven't thought much about it. My wife and I have talked at length about what to do about the house, the cars, the 401k's, the stocks, even the cats, but never once have we discussed our NS nations.
Let ’em die with me. Got enough other stuff to worry about.
I have puppets spread throughout NS that I'd like to see go on forever. The geese have been migrating for nearly 2 decades.
I agree with Herby -- after 8 years on NS, I'd definitely be happy if some of the older stuff disappeared without a trace :)
That being said, I actually do have a document attached to my will with my main NS nations and passwords with instructions to notify those regions.
I have had NS friends who have died or contracted terminal illnesses, and whose families have logged in to inform us. You would think the fact that we're all just random internet people behind anonymous flags would put enough distance between players, but it is terribly sad when those things happen.
My oldest nation is 
Somersmead coming up to 18 years old this year, my regions I'd hope I had time to arrange for them to cte without being constantly raided, I have one region that's grown just by people coming to it randomly, I like to pass the founder on to the other members similar to the way they did in 10000 Islands.
I will be pretty busy over the next couple of days, and I know you folks will be leaving soon, but before you go, let me just say that, as always, it is an honor and a privilege to be visited by the Travelling Region.
