Yeah. Lol. Irulan hasn’t been paying attention that in our recent conquests of the galaxy we managed to invade 3,000 systems and two masses of land on two different planets with only 3.4 million casualties of which only 100,000 or so were ours.

"My deepest apologies for the suddness of this. And whatever my agent might have said. I know they can be a bit much. But if your reading this clearly there reliable. But ive listened to your speaches to congress. Bravo Honestly. Your a great public speaker

Now we don't need to get in speafics. You dont need to know my name or anything. It comes with lets just say a bad galactic association persay. But you can trust I am a friend. I think we both know the real threat of this Imperium. Its black tendrails have obviously infilttated the already decaying Columbian Democracy.

Now neither of us have proof of these statements. Besides mere conecture and hearsay. However. I've started to monitor the Imperium much more closely after they made a little visit to Earth without being detected by the Columbian Military. Either by sheer incompetence or what I belive to be intentionally.

They have retrieved a device that i would had prefered stayed hidden. A mind control device is what i will put it at. I've also noticed that the Palace Security System. Which I have limited acess to shut down last night. I managed to trace the input to Ryuten before I ran into...Issues. I have no doubt this wasn't the Imperium testing the waters.

Now don't kid me. I know you've been investigating the Imperium behind the scenes even a little bit. If youd like that holotape carries information needed to contact me further. Any holo computer will do. I just want to trade information for now. Then if you so wish we can start a sort of...investigation into the Imperiums activities. And to sweeten the deal. I have some OREEP data that is seemingly being supressed by Columbian Inteligence. A Threat of National Security involving the OREEP program. Considering you are attempting to fight oreep it could be useful.

That will be all. Once your done with the holotape. Return it to charlotte or destory it. I dont need the FIB gaining acess to that."

Drummer would destroy the letter, and grab the holotape. She would not play it, however, not here, not now. If someone was savvy enough to find out about Drummer's operations, then they cannot be implicitly trusted, being far too skilled at the game that they both played. Whoever sent this could was just as likely to be an imperium spy, trying to throw her off the trail, or the holotape could contain a data spike to harvest all her secrets, or they may simply need more evidence to ensure she is charged for treason, and this is an attempt at entrapment. No matter the case, Drummer cannot risk opening this before it is verified. Still, that does not mean that she does not give the letter any heed. A mind control device, should such a thing exist, would allow the Imperium to ensure the infiltration indefinitely, as collaborators or infiltrators are no longer needed. As such, she immediately gets to work in attempting to verify the holotape. She would begin by slotting the holotape into a matching compute with the power unplugged, then running a charge through the holotape itself, which would trick it into activating any tracking, data scraping, or surveillance methods. When the readings indicate that none of these have occurred, Drummer begins to believe the message's legitimacy a bit more, but still, protections must in place for Drummer to view the tape. Anything that has her data on it is unplugged, and the data itself erased after a backup is copied and stored far enough away that it could not be accessed by malicious programs. Only then does she slot the holotape in, and begin playback.

[] The International Conference [] City of Midae, off the coast of Raigut and Kama'nei. []

With their newfound understanding of the English language thanks to the Missourian Pathfinder probe, the Free Nations realize that the ultimatum that had been sent to them months ago by the Columbians was also in English. Replaying the message that had been recorded on radio telescopes across Glumira, the Varmosans are able to finally confirm the Columbian's intentions for their planet. It was an ultimatum. They wished for total subjugation of the planet, and threatened a full-scale planetary invasion if their demands were not met.

After being leaked to the public, unrest and panic broke out across the planet. Everyone had their differing opinions on the matter, and how to respond to the confirmation that the extraterrestrial beings had not come in peace. An international conference was called between all nations of the world to be held in the city of Midae off the coast of now neutral Raigut where these new viewpoints would be heard and each nation could work out a plan on how to respond to the longstanding threat of Columbian invasion.

The Free Nations, headed by Barosa, Thruzak, and Bon'an, widely call for the possibility of negotiation with the Columbians in a way that placates them without sacrificing Varmosan independence, mostly by building up defenses and obtaining a bargaining chip to use against the Columbians in any potential negotiations. They call for international cooperation in resisting the threat, claiming that there is no way they can beat a potential Columbian invasion by standing alone.

The People's Union utterly rejects this idea, instead proclaiming to the world that they will not give an inch to the aliens and that they do not need anyone else's help in defending Varmosa from potential invaders. This hardline view is mostly backed up by Umaq, still led by the staunchly anti-Free Nations and militaristically aggressive older wing of the Umaqi Thainist Communist Party.

The Non-Aligned Movement has their own differing opinions regarding the threat, but Uhla appears to represent the faction in calling for giving concessions to the Columbians. They claim that perhaps giving them some of their more benign demands would prevent them from forcing their more malicious demands upon the Varmosans. Though this idea has some traction amongst the Non-Aligned Movement, many denounce them as cowards and traitors, especially those who take a hardline Varmosa First stance.

With a lack of international cooperation on the matter, each of the three major alliances go their own way in dealing with the threat. The Free Nations, for their part, continue to monitor the skies for any sign of Columbian invasion while attempting to modify the Pathfinder probe to send out a signal to the rest of the galaxy in the hopes of being able to send out a distress signal to more sympathetic nations.

(So basically, if you've ever played Terra Invicta, the Free Nations have taken an Academy/Resistance-esque stance, the People's Union are effectively hardline Humanity First, and the Non-Aligned Movement is contested but supports a Protectorate solution)

ping me when you send out a distress signal, so I can whip up an OPA response. After all, who says that the free nations should be the only ones to get outside help? Columbia would prioritize the areas of least resistance, and the OPA would do the opposite, so I could probably justify them arriving earlier.

YOUR SAVIORS HAVE ARRIVED, DO NOT RESIST
SACHIN-ZETANI & ZASTANO | FORMER APOLLONIA | TERRA [SOL SYSTEM]

The Hegemony had been shocked to hear about the sudden collapse of their Apollonian allies. They had been the first of humankind to enter the stars and they played a pivotal role as a member of the Interstellar Accords and its Security Council. However, with Apollonia's collapse there left large swaths of territory unclaimed and in utter chaos as a result of the Dalek insurgency they had just faced. Already they had noted the movement of the Soviets, pushing into Western Apollonia in masse and establishing their own Socialist State where Apollonia once stood. Meanwhile, in Central Asia, it was a mess of multiple different powers vying for territory, a mapmaker's nightmare no doubt. However, the Hegemony had little interest in either of these territories, instead looking eastward at the lands once belonging to the provinces of Sachin-Zetani and Zastano. There it was mostly barren, cities having been destroyed by roaming Dalek hordes and leaving only a couple million or so people still alive in the region.

Within only a few weeks of the Hegemony's announcement of claims over Eastern Apollonia several Siege Fleets would appear over the area, beginning to conduct military scans to look for hostile forces and look over major population centers. What they found was that some Apollonians had survived underground while above ground the Daleks had been roaming, trying to exterminate everyone they could. High General Adam Xaltoa would lead the initial assault, initiating the first landings near the ruins of Sachata inland from the coastline. This city would serve as a center for a newly established government controlled by the Hegemony. The initial 100,000 troops would begin spreading out from the city, noting any ruined towns and looking for any survivors. As Hegemonic soldiers reached the ruins of government complexes in the city they would plant the flag of the Hegemony over the ruins and set up communications systems where they could inform anyone who could hear them of the situation.

"Attention Citizens of the Former Apollonian State,

Due to the sudden and rather violent nature of recent events we have noted the collapse of the former Apollonian State. As a result of this endeavor as well as other powers beginning to encroach on Apollonian territory, the Armed Forces of the Hegemony have decided to push into the regions of Sachin-Zetano and Zastano to reestablish order and peace throughout the land. We are determined to aid in reconstruction efforts and work with local authorities who still live to establish a permanent government for your people to be represented within the mighty Hegemony. If you live, we urge you to make yourselves known. Hegemonic Forces are currently sweeping through the eastern territories of Apollonia and are currently engaged in a campaign to rid these lands of the Dalek incursion. May Technocracy Bless You All, May Aeon Bless You All."

Meanwhile, in the rural regions there was little to do but keep moving, the forces of the Hegemony very quickly occupying large swaths of rural eastern Apollonia and dealing with the small Dalek hordes that still existed quite quickly. Of course, the Daleks were powerful though and in the process around 10,000 Hegemonic men would die in the initial occupation. Another 1.5 Million men would be deployed to the Coastal region of Zastano where the Pacific-facing cities of Zasot and Karazona. These cities saw larger Dalek hordes terrorizing the survivors, Hegemonic Naval Command authorized the use of Ion Canons to wipe out these large hordes quickly while ensuring that minimal damage was done to the remaining infrastructure in these areas. There was no question that the Hegemony's efforts to occupy the lands would be easy, the key question would be if the Apollonians would trust them or other IA nations whom the Hegemony planned to allow to take some coastal lands for their own purposes.

As the final Dalek's were shot down and killed the Hegemony's soldiers would begin conducting a census effort across the lands, discovering that the vast majority of the Apollonian people had already been killed off by the Dalek advance. There were enough survivors in cities such as Karazona, Zasot, and Sachata to begin the establishment of new governments and entities to begin once more growing the Apollonian population. The Hegemony would meet with any remaining leadership within the survivors, working to Establish the Hegemonic Republic of Sacha-Zastano which would be under the control of a Military Tribunal for the time being until the Hegemony could re-establish complete order over the region. Once this organization was completed the Hegemony would reach out to their allies now across the Pacific in Columbia, understanding that they had security concerns of their own that needed to be dealt with.

As such the Hegemony would offer up a deal in which the Coastal Regions of Eastern Apollonia would be handed over to them in return for Hegemonic free access to these territories both militarily and economically. The only exception to the handover would be the region where the city of Zasot sat, the Hegemony seeking to keep at least one Pacific-facing port under their control for trade and military reasons. However, in return they would allow Columbia to move through that territory freely militarily and civilian-wise as well. This was the offer that would be sent to the Columbian Government in hopes that an agreement could be reached.
