And borrowing the average Spanish alt right, there is no massive genocide denying (contrary to countries like Turkey where nearly everybody does not admit to what their country did during the 20th Century).

Did Spain commit some questionable acts during the colonisation of the Americas? Yea, it happened, but on a serious note. WHY should the modern rulers of Spain apologise for something they didn't have control over and didn't even exist at that time. The average Spaniard recognises the acts that the Spanish did during the colonisation of America. And I also strongly believe that we cannot put our modern views into the views of those in the past. Back in the day, would the average Castilian or Aragonese be like ''What a tragedy that our great Empire killed a sh*t ton of people in Nueva Granada!''. Very likely it would be more like: ''Our great empire is showing its strength against those ''UNCIVILIZED'' and ''UNCULTURED'' and ''INFERIOR'' peoples. Viva España!''. And yes, it truly is a shame that during these times accidentally (or maybe not who knows) the Spanish destroyed languages and cultures. But again, what are we supposed to do if we've already acknowledged it happened (which most Spaniards do).

Colonisation was bad, yea. Or well, it sometimes could bring profit but it was MOSTLY bad. Altho If Spain didn't come, a lot of things that shape Modern Mexico would be gone, probably the biggest one, the language. Because I heavily doubt anybody in Mexico speaks Mayan, or Aztec. And well, obviously Mexico isn't just ''Spain did funny things here GNAFDHGNBAFHGJ'', in fact not even close.

about the last line: I would not be talking aztec... because there is no language called aztec. Aztec people, or Mexica, talked Nahuatl (or Nahua in english).

The vote, and the resolution itself, appear to be fueled by OOC political beliefs.

Or, based on the vote of the Communist Bloc’s own delegate, it’s a giant troll op.

Honestly, it's fine for a WIP factbook. Takes a while for me to get used to the dark theme though, I am a proud light mode user but of course I'm not the monster who uses it on YouTube...

Yep, a couple of players here already do that! We actually give a specific endotart award for that as well.

EDIT: Wait, I was actually wrong about that. We give an endotarting award for nations who have endorsed all of Europeia's citizens, not residents.

The lost men

The SweeTarts Award goes to nations that endorse the most WA nations, citizen or not.

Speaking of which, the February Awards are slightly delayed, we had a technical glitch with our spreadsheet that tabulates all of that, we have someone looking at it.

It's really sad how we censor Dr. Seuss because it made some people feel offended, meanwhile we allow Cardi B and stuff like that. America has became too fragile and weak, we've just become a bunch of helpless snowflakes who are over sensitive and get offended by a stupid childrens book. This is really pathetic what we've came to. Grow up America, grow up.

Cardi B's music can be racist and inappropriate, like that WAP song that thankfully I've never heard, but for us to be cancelling a stupid kids book is a bit over the top. Just because you don't like a book doesn't mean it has to be outright put it out of production.

Please don't bait. We are offended by those books because they make fun of someone for something they can't control. Cardi B uses slurs, yes, but that's what modern rap music has evolved (or devolved, depending on your opinion) to. They aren't actively trying to put people down, they are using words that have become virtually meaningless to make a beat and a living. I am not particularly proud of music that should be offensive, but it's not, so...

It's actually an extremely good comparison. Just imagine what would happen if a parent in the 50s or 60s started reading lyrics of a Cardi B song instead of a Dr Seuss book. They would get Child Services called on them. We're too worried about every little detail that could make those snowflake weaklings begin to cry in their "safe spaces," because of course, everyone's a victim now.

Lol no one called for Dr. Seuss to be cancelled. His estate, the group that runs his books, pulled the plug on their own accord.

They weren’t even his biggest one. The Cat and the Hat, Lorax, Horton, the one about nukes, Green eggs and Ham, the Grinch, and his other big ones aren’t going anywhere.

Hell, I’d only ever heard of two of the “cancelled” books, and only owned one. I mean, I did like McElligots Pool as a child, but if I was raising my children, I wouldn’t really want them exposed to those stereotypes portrayed in those books. I don’t even remember the stereotypes including Youth are the most impressionable group, and although I would be very avid in teaching my children that those stereotypes are wrong, there are plenty of others who wouldn’t.

If everybody was willing to teach youth that these ideas are wrong and outdated, then we wouldn’t have a problem. But people won’t.

Ah yes, the Sneetches. You are correct in your analysis, the stars on the bellies of some of the Sneetches are symbolic of the ethno-religious group they are based off of.

But the story is an allegory for how those “differences” are really worthless, and how if we all tried to live together happily we could easily do so. The division is exploited by the antagonist to divide the Sneetches to make money. Dr. Seuss was quite the opponent of anti-semitism, or so I’ve found.

I could see how that could be used in the modern world today, though the story kinda has a dark undertone

The publisher and his family decided to stop publishing some books -- sounds like the free market in action to me. No one censored anything.

Also, allow Cardi B? What exactly would we do with Cardi B? I guess you don't like the first amendment very much....
Sounds like you are the one who is a snowflake. Maybe you should grow up.

Le Libertia, Penlopa, Demon gulch, and Sincluda

Cardi B is allowed to sing WAP for the same reason Dr Seuss Enterprises is allowed to withdraw books from publication: Free Speech.

The 1st Amendment to the United States Constitution provides Congress shall make no law abridging freedom of speech. In the case of Cardi B, that freedom of speech means being allowed to sing about wet parts of the female anatomy. In the case of Dr Seuss Enterprises, that freedom of speech means not being forced to publish books they do not wish to publish.

That's fair, but I'm actually quite concerned that some idiots who can't even do anything and rely on mommy and daddy and welfare will run our country some day. Anything that hurts their feelings, it will vanish. I look up to the Silent Generation. When they were kids they had to suffer the Great Depression, starving and without money, then once they were young adults it was World War II, 6 years of non-stop conflict and conscription, then after that they settled down and got some well-deserved freedom from difficulty. They were the generation that got us to the Moon. They brought us the television and advanced the world even further. The Silent Generation is the wealthiest generation because of this. And what have millennial snowflakes done? maybe ate some avocado toast or made some computer companies, but most of the time they have been whining in their parents' basements waiting for their welfare checks. I think snowflakes should get off their lazy asses and actually get a life, because it's time for them to step up.
