Sweden still social distanced and had quite strict quarantaine requirements for any people tested positive, as well as protection of vulnerable groups. They just did not lock down entirely.

Basically Sweden used common sense although they weren't doing the good ol' lockdown like the rest of the gang.
Unlike America.

Hard to chill when everything is collapsing around you, but yeah I'll stop before anything gets said that spurs moderator action.

One question. How does one become a dictator without becoming head of the executive branch?

Also it's not even like Corbyn is Leader of the Opposition anymore?

Jesus christ, that was uncalled for....

Fair enough. Would be a marxist dictator*

It'll be fine, the empire will come to save us! Just like during the world wars! /s

He's at best a Marxist sympathizer. A real Marxist would be trying to tear down the establishment, not join it. Especially considering Marxism is more revolutionary than whatever Labour is.

Also, pray tell, how can one be a dictator without leading anything? He's just a parliament member, not a leader (especially after he lost the leadership of Labour earlier this year).

It’s possible she also might marry the king of Bavira but that’s unlikely

Update: queen zuzzana did A bad job and was replaced by king Franciszek the 3rd
Update: the queen is back

Thanks for the offering but my king is happily married

I don’t exactly follow UK news, but I did hear that Corbyn stepped down from that role.

Fairly sure strong opposition would be mounted by the Conservatives, Sinn Fein, SNL and a few others if a dictatorship were to come into play. Probably from within his own party as well. If he managed to become PM, there is no way in hell people would be satisfied with his rule as you describe it.

What makes you say he would be a Marxist dictator?

Pilipinas and Malaya wrote:I don’t exactly follow UK news, but I did hear that Corbyn stepped down from that role.

Yeah, Sir Keir Starmer is the new Leader of Her Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition

I’m just gonna stop talking about politics here, at least my own view.

Not because of rage, but because I get silenced and questioned enough from my own family, that I feel as if I’m racist, and a radical. I only want the best for my country, yet because I get silenced so much, the softest blow here could deal the most harm.

Last post about my own views: the people voted for brexit and he wanted a second referendum. Not democratic in the slightest.

Here, you are not getting silences, but rather, challenged.

As we all know, in a democracy it is forbidden to change one's mind

I know, but even a challenge is really hard on me.
It’s less about changing minds, but the fact that I can’t call a second election because I want to change my vote, so why is this any different?

Pilipinas and Malaya wrote:One question. How does one become a dictator without becoming head of the executive branch?

Well, it might be an elaborate trick or something! But yeah that's a bad take for sure.

If anything, calling for a second referenda after the fact is pretty democratic, as now that the British people have a taste of how Brexit would feel like, they can pick to reverse it if they wish before it is too late.

Marxist where?

I never really thought about it that way. I always thought it would feel like undermining the previous vote. I can wrap my head around that though!

Hang on a sec, how is asking for a referendum that cancels the previous referendum democratic? Seems a bit of a grey area. Also, has brexit really changed anything yet? I thought that was for december 31.
