Covid didn’t kill me so now the flu is taking a crack at me. Otherwise I’m fine and peachy
Hello. I've come to ask about someone I knew years ago.
Does anybody know about Valrifell? Used to RP in The New Inquisition a few years back.
CTE’d close a year ago, that’s about the extent of my knowledge. Maybe the others know more.
I think he uses Valrifall now.
I've done my part.
It'll be impossible for them to infiltrate anyway since we've been condensed to four people.

Would you like me to talk about 'blissbeat', the terribly rare combination of shoegaze with electronic genres such as drum'n'bass?

I’m playing minecraft with friends and eating honey nut cheerios right now. If I’m the adult here we’re in a world of trouble.
Blissbeat is a niche within two niches that, at first glance, don't seem very compatible. It's rhythm drowned in ether. The term was coined by Scott Cortez, a surprisingly prolific musician primarily known for his work in the two-person group Loveliescrushing. Their music is best described as ambient shoegaze, but more relevant to blissbeat are his other projects.
Rkodr by Transient Stellar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQleqCKmOGs) is the more accessible example of what blissbeat is. It takes that shoegazey texture and forces it to share with the drums. It's a pretty easy listen if you have any taste for what he's trying to do. The rhythm isn't too crazy and it isn't too noisy. And compared to the next album, it's drab and tame.
whitenoisesuperstar by astrobrite is not so accessible. Turn your volume down, seriously.
The first song I want to point out is cherryflavorburst (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jYMrAxRjb0). I think this is where the 'bliss' part of 'blissbeat' comes in. It's a happy song, but some people might miss that because it is noisy. Far too noisy for most people, I would think. And for those people, it might be difficult to understand why this song is good. The noise feels happy. I don't know what else to say.
The second is amorotic zoom (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-F6Ccq_Sjpo). It's an unintelligible love song. I don't know what she's saying, but it feels amazing. It's a ballad traveling on a rocket. There's not much like it, and it's one of my favorite songs.
It's apparently really hard to talk about this genre, or maybe I'm just bad at talking about music. I wish there was more stuff like amorotic zoom. There are other bands and albums described as blissbeat but nothing scratches the same itch. Nothing as blissful. If there was something a little quieter but with the same style, I'd be in heaven.

My cat still does his job very well, even after a decade of cushy living.
