Daily Question #61

Does your nation have any volcanic activity

Volcanic activity ranges from emission of gases, non-explosive lava emissions to extremely violent explosive bursts that may last many hours. The types of eruptions determine the relative volumes and types of volcaniclastic material and lava flows, consequently the shapes and sizes of volcanoes.

Ethnon fortunately exists in an area of zero volcanic activity :D

Alogiada (Non-SR), is probably more volcano-prone than many other countries since it lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire.
Alogiada (SR)Does not have many volcanoes, but used to, around 58-53 Million Years Ago, a large volcanic system known as the Pælææhu Mountains was active, and was so devastating that it might have contributed to, or even have been the main cause of the Novoglacosean extinction event, where a majority of dinosaurs died out.

(Non-Avian Dinosaurs actually stumbled on for a few more million years until the end of the Tekjikian period from 52-50 Million years ago, probably due to competition from fast-evolving mammals.)
(This is SR, not real life.In reality all non-avian Dinosaurs died 66-65 Million Years Ago, and the only remnants of their legacy are their fossils, coprolites and modern-day birds.)
