4:00 AM In The Main Ajianese Front
The defensive line had been held without further advance into Amestris territory, a counter-attack was suspected therefore holding the line once again was made a priority. Artillery support kept Amestris counter forces at bay with endless bombardments. The shells raining down upon them would only stop when signs of enemy activity were neutralized or none were seen. Later tanks that had taken any type of cover would hide and wait for enemy armor. Slightly behind the lines were the Type 87s stationed to a newer line that had been behind the main defensive line. The tanks that had remained idle must keep their engines on so the fuel inside did not freeze.
The captured F-23s at the airfield were ready for take-off as some of the ground crew cleaned each of the jets. Ajianese pilots would then step into the jets and a green light had been given for the take-off of all but one of the captured jets. The jets that roughly make a squadron take off to defend the Main Ajianese Line and to join other fighter squadrons already in the air via a carrier. A truck had arrived at the airfield where the last jet remained in the hanger. The jet would be transferred to the coast waiting for transportation back to the mainland where aircraft designers can conduct research upon the aircraft.
6:00 AM At The Coastal Town Of The Original Invasion
The coast had fallen very silent after the first advance of the Main Ajianese Line, buildings and homes were completely destroyed and many of its residents lay wandering across town. As the war was over for them they continued their life and waited for the food distribution. The truck hauling the jet was covered in a camouflaged tarp and made its way in the middle of the town. Many of the residents simply gazed at it as the truck passed by, without any thought of what may be held underneath the tarp. Eventually, the truck would park near a dock waiting for a transport ship to take the captured jet. The coastal fleet that had supported the original invasion was gone.
Ajianese War Room In A Undisclosed Location
The generals and officers have been discussing activating a new operation since the Ajianese Main Line is currently at a stall. They will take the new naval invasion force with a similar size as the original one and split it into two invasions. The first invasion code-named "二五" or "Ni-Go" which will land in the Eastern Peninsula of Amestris and Freedonia Making their way to establish a secondary offensive line. The second invasion will take place in the middle of the Amestris and Freedonian coast which is dubbed, "三五" or "San-go." These two invasions will commence a long-term operation named "錯覚作戦" or "Sakkaku Sakusen." Which shall be completed through phases and both of the naval invasions would take place at the same time.
The military officials discuss this operation as it had been a backup plan; they decide to go with the plan and preparation had been already ongoing in case the plan was activated. With the help of an IAN supercarrier, waves of transport ships will land at the designated shores of Amestris and Freedonia. To reinforce their escort, the retreating fleet of IAN Meiji will then support this naval invasion. The green light was given to commence Sakkaku Sakusen and the officers/ generals had wished luck upon the invasion force.
At The Docks Of Shirashōwa
The Meiji Fleet had stopped by the docks of Shirashōwa (Fujiwara Tochi) for resupply of ammunition and fuel. The approval of docking was granted by the government as friendly relations between Ajian and Shirashōwa were in place. The leading Captain of the Imperial Ajianese Light Carrier had stepped on the docks to greet the base crew that was helping with the resupplying. He thanked them and gave them a deep bow for helping the fleet out.
A little later as the captain waited upon the deck of his carrier, he received a message from the war room of Ajian that Sakkaku Sakusen was a go. His fleet was to meet up with the invasion force and support them during their landings. The captain had replied to accept his orders and the fleet would swiftly depart from the docks once resupplying had been finished. Some of the sailors waved goodbye to those who helped resupply the Ajianese Navy. Maybe their paths shall cross once again; the fleet had become now a distant figure along the Cascade Ocean horizon.
Sakkaku Sakusen Underway
At 8:00 Am the invasion fleet had arrived off the coast of Amestris and Freedonia. The bombardment of the coast had begun just as before with the original invasion. The invasion force and fleet were split into two. The Ni-Go Invasion would meet some fire and defense along the Western Peninsula as coastal defenses were present but few. Despite the bombardment, the coastal defense had remained adequate amount of forces still laying fire upon the Ajianese naval force. The bombing of the defense via airforce had been ordered by the general of the Eastern Invasion. As aircraft bombed the defenses, the heavy fire had ceased. The Battle of the Western Peninsula was underway and the transports ships; which some had been destroyed but most still kept beached along the coast, let out waves of motorized infantry divisions. After defeating Amestris and Freedonian defenses, the motorized divisions would rush up the peninsula to establish a new front. The new front created would be called the "Second Ajianese Line" or "Western Line"
In the second part of the invasion, San-Go had met little to no resistance while arriving upon the Amestris beach, as many of their forces had been directed towards countering the Main Ajianese Line. The San-Go invasion was ordered to not advance but hold the line until Amestris forces come. San Go would be dubbed as the "Late Line" as their forces would not advance as much as the Secondary Line. The bombardment had only affected the wildlife and nature of the area but Amestris forces were yet to be seen.
