April 2021 General Election
On 1 April, we will have a General Election for our leaders. The positions up for election are President, Vice President, and fifteen Senate seats. The Presidency and Vice Presidency will be elected in tandem via a regional poll, while the Senatorial positions will be elected at the same time using a strawpoll link. If there are less than fifteen Senate seats, they will automatically be elected.

I just wanna say thank you for staying here at Old Zealand. Even if you're not that active here, it really means a lot to me.

Vote Morty Rick for President of Old Zealand! We are your voice!
I, Morty Rick, promise to change Old Zealand for the better. Here is my plan for my four months in office, which I shall call the Mortyrick-Old Zealand Authority for Innovation And Commerce (MOZAIC):
A nationalist regional and foreign policy, prioritizing the interests of Old Zealand over other regions;
The revival of the Old Zealand Dollar and its swift reimplementation in the region - but with no tax;
The curtailing of Presidential powers and the reallocation of such to the Senate and other government members;
An increase in citizen participation in government.
A much more radical reform currently under consideration would be to abolish the Senate and create a House of Representatives. All members of Old Zealand who register to join would become part of the House of Representatives, with the Secretaries as its Speakers. While it may seem somewhat counterproductive in my goal of curtailing Presidential powers, this would help get people interested in the government more.
