Be whatever you want as long as your nation fits into modern Europe within modern European institutions like the EU or European Economic Area. Also for now don't make your nation have territory that overlaps with many modern nations so we don't have the problem of massive supernations that would just put people off of roleplaying in this region.

The problems that modern Germany have today would be a problem for your nation as well in that case. Like millions of Syrian refugees for example and energy stuff with Russia.

Like we did at the start of this region, we would begin with irl current affairs and then branch off into our own world.

2nd OEU Era

Basically a reset of the region back to it's roots.

We start again in the current year and just like at the beginning of this region we only use the European map. This was beneficial to the region at the start because it made land limited so there wouldn't by only 3 nations taking up an entire continent. Another benefit was that there were multiple relatively small nations clustered together and they all had to interact each other meaning there always had to be some kind of roleplay occurring.

Just like in the 1st OEU Era, once we have the European map filled with with a dozen or so active nations we would change the map to a global one.

If this happens then we would start in real time with real life context. So there would be the European Union, NATO and the Russian invasion of Ukraine (if there is no Russia or Ukraine then there doesn't have to be any rp to do with it) all existing at the start just like in the 1st OEU Era.

I think this would save the OEU.

It's drastic but this region needs something drastic to happen to make it reborn.

I’m much busier than I used to be but this is definitely something I’d be willing to participate in

But all those years of work seem to have already ended.

This will get us back on track hopefully.
