I want to see the eco-friendly tag removed. Oklahoma is a red state; the tag does not represent it.
Sorry, but that's not going to happen. The majority of nations in this region advocate positive stances on environmental issues. Just because the real state of Oklahoma is a red state does not mean that we are necessarily going to reflect those policies here on a mock government role playing game.
If you'd feel more comfortable residing in a region in which the environment has been desecrated and polluted, I'd suggest searching out a new region to move to because you won't find that here. The landbase in Oklahoma is beautiful, and we intend to keep it that way.

In the part of OK/MO/KS where some of my kin live, the town of Picher has become a ghost town from all the chat wastes from lead mining days that saw the open stockpiling of mining wastes. Already declared a Superfund site by the dawn of the 21st century, a tornado blew the rest of the chat piles around town -- blasting into oblivion even our last vestige of life (the mining museum).
So indeed like Woolaroc said in our mind the mines of Picher and elsewhere in NE OK are filled with deep mine mushrooms, pulling up moisture from the Ozarkian freshwater underground springs and streams, from which some of the finest mineral waters on the planet are bottled and served freely to all Oklahomans (and shipped free to OK-ex-pats off on graduate and PhD sabaticals -- to encourage their return to the heaven that is Oklahoma ~ our home.
@ GoTulsaShock: If you want to live in a cesspool, then by all means do as Woolaroc said... find a new region.

By the way, just adding this here for future reference. I got a telegram from the above nation on this nation to remove the tag. I told him via TG but I'll restate it here: the reason I am the founder of the region is because the raiders that held the region under password forgot to log in so their nation died and I noticed so snatched the region up before anyone else realized, then the natives moved back to Oklahoma. This is just a puppet, I don't log in very often. Nor am I ever going to do anything as founder except ban someone making serious trouble or invaders/raiders. The delegate and natives are in charge.
