Patna back in the day was pretty safe, I'm from Patna now it's not that great but if you got into IIT Patna, go for it. The IIT regions/ IIM regions across India are typically very good regions in a city

I see. I haven't gotten it yet like adv is still left but Im keeping it as a backup option (since it has a lower cutoff than the rest of mid IITs) if I don't get CSE in a better IIT. Otherwise on basis of JEE Mains, my option would be NIT Trichy which is in Tamil Nadu and I don't really wanna goto TN so might end up taking IIT Patna then. Only drawback there being the fact its Bihar.

Does Patna have a gang/violence problem still? They probably do have enough security on campus but people would end up having to goto the main city for sure so. Wouldn't wanna get robbed on gunpoint lol.

These days Bihar is in clutch of ISI. Securities agencies are constantly doing raids, and catching sleeper cells. Nepal has became safe haven for these kind of people. Last year NIA was active. This year UP ATS is active here. As uttarakhand and Sikkim has heavy deployment of army and capf and up police is doing well, so Bihar is their entry and exit point rn.

I see but does that make it unsafe? Like my worst fear is getting abducted or something since it turns out its not that uncommon. Don't plan on doing sussy stuff so i don't think i would worry about NIA and all. What I meant by safe was from robbers and katta guys.

A Hindu and Malayali Nationalist regime, they have a mandated drafting. The nation is typically isolationist, but is recently interesting in expanding ties with the rest of the world. The main 2 internal threats are the communists and loyalists to the government before the Nairs. (The nairs are a dynasty that overthrew the sham democracy, which was still just a monarchy with president being basically inherited. The dynasty was started by the king's grandfather).

The nation has HUGE walls all over, similar to that of the walls in the Indian movie Salaar.
