The Worlds of the 'Verse
The Union of Allied Planets includes all human-inhabited worlds in the known universe, known as the 'Verse.Central planets
The 
central planets, also known as Core worlds, orbit the White Sun or 白虎, or are in the White Sun system. They tend to be highly economically and technologically developed. They were some of the first planets terraformed and colonized.

Border planets are at the edge of the core region, and tend to be at comparable stages of development as the central planets. Rim planets are much more distant and tend to be less developed than the central planets, usually due to much more recent terraforming. Both are more recently colonized than the central planets.
Note: Regardless of what some malcontents suggest, the Alliance cares as deeply for citizens of border and rim planets as for residents of central planets.
