Capital Confirmation

Following several months of political wrangling, the Senate passed the Capital Relocation Act, officially transferring the central government from Karo Tevas to the Viklandic city of Southguard. The move was seen by many as retaliation for Karo Tevas delaying the Krioval-Vikland Union Resolution, put into force in November 2015. The widespread civil disruptions that spanned four months following the union had effectively sidelined Karo Tevas as a center for diplomacy, with embassies hastily relocated to northern suburbs and nearby cities as temporary measures. This period, which oversaw the downfall of Maya Tyvok as a political force, also resulted in the reorganization of Androshold and Kriovhold, the extinguishing of the main Andros familial line, and the exile of Anne Kriov from Torokara. This decision cements the Valgaardians and their liberal allies as the dominant political force in the Imperial Chiefdom for the time being, and moves the government closer to the ancestral home of Imperial Chief Henrik, though the opposition remains strong in the northeast and west.
