The New Nations First Act
FORUM: The Democratic Commonwealth MapQUESTION OF: Conduct of Maps and New Nation's Claims
Main Submitter: New velonia and Muddy falls
Noting: the higher demand and decreasing supply of land in the democratic commonwealth;
Pointing out the failed attempts at setting up Space exploration;
Arguing that puppets have no right to take up space that a real nation could occupy;
Condemning the wide-range use of colonies and puppets to take up large swathes of land;
Pointing out the inofficial policy since the beginning of the Regional map; and
Determined to make it an official policy;
Defines "New Nation" as a nation who has joined the Region for the first time and has not made a claim on the map yet;
Clarifies that the meaning of "Puppet" and "colony" is the same as in The Puppet Act;
Allows New Nations to claim a part of the land, or an entirety of land, from a puppet in the Map;
Forbids The invasion of New Nations for until a week since their settlement in their claimed lands;
Allows the Court of Justice to refuse to claim any gains of land from an invasion of a new country before their week of peace has ended;
Clarifies that a new nation that invades another nation before their week is up is voided from their week-long protection;
Clarifies that puppets can not take the land used by a non-puppet nation without permission;
Clarifies that any puppet will not be regarded as a New Nation;
Allows the ejection of puppets and puppet masters who refuse to claim a puppet that has taken part of the map; and
Clarifies that the Supreme Judge has the final say on all land disputes, according to the constitution.
