Dunwich : A History

Founded several centuries ago, When a group of religious zealots fleeing persecution for worshiping their "Lord Apophis" landed at the head of the Miskatonic River on an island in the southeast coast of Pacifica. Their Holy Leader, The "Grand Vizier," rallied the worn and weary travelers to level the coastal forests and build the quaint, secular, seaside village of Dunwich and founded the governing body of the Dominion Council. Now nearly 300 years later, the once tiny port-town has boomed into several giant sprawling Metropoli of revolutionary industry and military prowess. The Dominion Council oversees all the entirety of its city-states. It has caught up with the rest of the modern world, and maintained its private and very devout religion (cult) within its populace.

Its leader The Dread Pirate Nyarlothotep has claimed both positions of The Leader of The Faith,
and God Pharaoh over the Nation.
So far everything is going according to plan.

The Dunwich Dominion revoked its national leader.
Nyarlothotep met with a guillotine accident, and then the body was thrown into an active volcano.
Anarchists have took over the
Dominion Council and ran rampant in the streets.

Awakening the Old Gods, Successfully, has brought Cataclysm down upon Port Innsmouth. The Nation Sank into the ocean killing almost all the inhabitants.
Through the Resurrection Rites of Osiris, The Pirate Abbess Hastur has assumed the mantle of leading a newley resurrected Nation into the future, and rebuilding the new Capitol on the ruins of Port Innsmouth.
