Creatures of Immensus Threat Assessment System- WIP

Development of the System

Naturally, not all creatures on the vast planet of Immensus are as dangerous as one another nor are they all as powerful as one another. It should almost go without saying but humanity wanted to know what they were up against and how they compared to the various creatures on the planet. To help with this a system was developed that categorized the various creatures of Immensus, giving them a numerical rating based on the overall threat said creature posed to both humans as individuals and even humanity as a whole. This rating is then used to place a creature into one of six classes, each of which are further divided into grades. Several factors are taken into consideration to help determine a creatures rating. The nature of this system is to help humanity identify different creatures based on the threat it poses to them so, as a result of that, a higher rated creature is not always necessarily able to beat a lower rated creature were they to ever cross paths and fight. This scale is only meant to compare against humanity, which is to say nothing about how creatures compare to one another. Nearly all known creatures and even alien species, good and bad alike, are given a rating which of course means they are placed in the system. Aliens are placed into this system as well more for safety than anything else, really, that way in case they are ever encountered again then humanity knows what they are up against. Weapons can also be given a threat assessment rating based on lethality. This system is meant to be used to generalize an entire species but it can still be applied on an individual level as well, as long a proper evaluation can be made. This system is also only meant to be used as a guide, nothing more, because while a given rating is determined based on consistent results a given species produces individuality is still ever present in almost all species. As such an individuals threat assessment is likely to have some level of variation from it's species average rating, it may even be drastically different, but either way it's generally not enough to even cause a jump in Grade. Individuals jumping in Class, while not unheard of, is still statistically very rare. One of the most notable examples is humanity: If one assumes that all humans are low class they would be sadly and terribly mistaken. Average humans are low, yes...most humans are in fact...but as with everything there are exceptions to the average. Just make sure you're looking at the statistic comparisons and not the raw numbers, Immensus is a big place after all. Raw numbers are going to be extremely high, but that's what statistics are for. If someone were to tell you that 140 million people on Earth have green eyes you'd probably think "whoa, a lot of people have green eyes". But then if someone told you that only around 2% of Earth's population has green eyes you'd suddenly realize that green eyes are actually pretty rare, despite 140 million people having them.

Threat Assessment System

As mentioned above, the classes are defined based on the assessed threat a given creature poses. Known as the Threat Assessment System, or simply TAS for short, an official scale was developed for each trait that influences the threat a given being poses to humanity. More than anything this is a precautionary system. In the event a creature in this system attacks or otherwise becomes an enemy, however likely or unlikely it is, humanity wants to know what exactly they are up against. The in depth scale takes key points of ones physical ability and drive then assigns these traits a numerical value that represents their score. Both ones base most state, i.e more or less what they'd be at while they sleep, as well as when they are at their peak levels of ability are taken then averaged against themselves. Once all traits are averaged amongst themselves the average rating of all traits are combined and measured. There are four dominant traits taken into consideration. These are destructibility, durability, mobility, and drive. Destructibility is the amount of damage/death that one can cause in a short period of time. Durability is, simply put, how resistant ones body is to damage. However it also takes into consideration any weaknesses or vulnerabilities that could be exploited, and how easy they are to be exploited in the first place. Mobility is the measurement of their overall agility and how quickly they can move. Then finally there's drive, which is divided into intent and ambition. Intent represents what they are willing to do at a given moment, while ambition represents what they are likely to do if given free reign. Their final drive rating is an average of their intent and ambition. Once all traits are averaged out against themselves and each other properly their Threat Assessment Rating, or TAR, is the final average number found.

TAR represents the ultimate level of threat a given creature poses to both humans and humanity in general. Based on a creatures TAR they are then given a Threat Assessment Class, or TAC, which is then further divided into a Threat Assessment Grade (TAG). TAC's and TAG's were created to help generalize a creatures TAR while still giving accurate measurements. All of these things are placed into the Threat Assessment Table, otherwise known as a TAT. This table was created to help provide easily understandable, yet still highly accurate, ways to pinpoint an opponents threat. Do note that as the TAT goes on the gap between classes and even grades increases, often becoming marginally large in comparison. This is not to say that creatures do not exist with TAR's that place them in this gaps, just that their rating doesn't quite fit one or the other group. They are too dangerous to belong in the previous group but not dangerous enough to belong in the next. In these instances creatures are generally unofficially referred to as a .5, so a creature stuck between G4 and G5 would be G4.5 or a creature between S3 and S4 would be S3.5. Again though this is completely unofficial, because officially these "inbetweeners" are just rounded down to the nearest TAG. It should also be worth noting that these are not evenly spaced integers, meaning that a threat rating of 10 is not twice as dangerous as a threat rating of 5. It's actually significantly more than double, so just keep that in mind.

Description

Less than 1

D-Class

Grade 1

Completely insignificant threats to even single humans, often times very small in size. Virtually incapable of doing anything more than irritating a human, really.
They are harmless. They are normally only small non-venomous insects, and are of no threat to really anything but grass and plants.

1-5

D-Class

Grade 2

Capable of minimal, often times negligible harm towards single humans let alone several. They pose no form of actual threat to humanity.
Really no threat to anything other than D1 creatures, they are things like small birds, chickens, and small lizards.

100-199

C-Class

Grade 1

Most C1 creatures are capable of causing some harm to an average human, but they are typically not fatal on their own.
While they may not be fatally dangerous they can still cause unwanted harm should they attack, so caution is advised.
House cats, non-fatally venomous insects and arthropods, young/small constrictor snakes, and foxes are all within this range.

200-399

C-Class

Grade 2

With typical humans coming in at around 273, C2 creatures at large are all capable of proving fatal to a human with varying degrees of ease.
There is generally a roughly equal chance of encounters proving fatal or non-fatal.
Humans, fatally venomous insects, small constrictors, and fatally venomous arthropods are all at this range among others

400-600

C-Class

Grade 3

C3 creatures are potentially dangerous threats to individual humans, often easily capable of killing a typical adult human.
Humans can attempt to fight back, granted with varying degrees of success.
In this range one can find large domesticated canines, monitor lizards, venomous snakes, and medium sized constrictor snakes.

650-799

B-Class

Grade 1

Caution is heavily advised once B-Class territory is reached. Creatures in this Class are considerably dangerous in the event of an attack on a human.
They are often times capable of effortlessly killing a human, so without the proper tools a lone human is likely to be killed.
Included within the ranks of B1 creatures are the likes of horses, wolves, and zombies.

800-999

B-Class

Grade 2

Very dangerous and often times even more aggressive they shouldn't be approached cautiously, they shouldn't even be approached at all. They should be avoided.
Beyond a doubt capable of killing several humans by themselves they are not to be trifled with.
Large constrictors, komodo dragons, and crocodiles are all examples of this range.

1000-1299

B-Class

Grade 3

Highly dangerous, even with tools and weapons a humans chances of surviving an attack by creatures at this level is not very high.
Proven to be capable of killing many humans in sprees they should be respectfully feared.
Anacondas, lions, tigers, bears (oh my), B Class vampires, and B Class werewolves are all at this level, among others.

1300-1699

B-Class

Grade 4

Without a doubt among the most dangerous of Earthly creatures, humans literally have to use specially made weapons and tools to stand a chance.
B4 creatures are not only capable of laying waste to humans with literally no effort but they are also able to lay waste to lesser class/grade creatures.
Among this level of creature are hippopotamus, elephants, and rhinos.

1800-2199

A-Class

Grade 1

Normal humans stand little chance against an A1 creature, even if they are armed to defend themselves.
In the event of an attack by an A1 creature a human is almost certainly going to be killed.
Trained military personnel are typically the only ones that can slow down or, with luck, stop an A1 creature.
Currently, Jurassic Park Raptors are the only listed example of an A1 creature.

2200-2499

A-Class

Grade 2

Creatures at this level are in an all new league from humans. That said, by the time one reaches A2 level creatures normal humans are done for.
A2 creatures are finally at a level where their basest standard is being capable of wiping out dozens or more humans by themselves.
Currently only A Class werewolves have been listed in this range, so far that is.

2550-2899

A-Class

Grade 3

As the TAR gets higher, the gaps between Classes and Grades increase as well. A3 creatures are in an odd middle ground where they completely outclass the levels below them.
They themselves however are eclipsed by the levels above, who pose a far larger threat to humanity than they do. That aside, any A3 creature is a threat to small human settlements.
Even groups of highly trained military personnel stand little chance at surviving an encounter by this point in the threat level scaling.
Creatures such as Skyrim dragons, other wyverns, sea kings of the Blue Seas, wyrms, drakes, and even the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex are examples of A3 creatures.

3000-3500

A-Class

Grade 4

Just one A4 creature poses a threat to large towns by themselves, while without lady luck on their side no military unit could stop them.
Xenomorph warriors, xenomorph drones, wendigo, and yautja are all A4 creatures.

3700-4200

A-Class

Grade 5

In some way, shape, or form lone A5 creatures have the capacity to be a threat to entire cities.
Xenomorph Queens and Xenomorph Praetorians are included among the ranks of A5 creatures.

4500-5150

A-Class

Grade 6

For an A6 creature small armies are a normal humans only hopes of survival, complete with all complements that come with it such as tanks and air support.
And even then they may very well fail.
Xenomorph Empresses, Gaunts, and Demonic Imp's are examples of A6 creatures.

12000-25000

G-Class

Grade 1

G-Class creatures are in an entirely different league from both humans and lesser ranked creatures alike.
Normal humans effectively have virtually no chance against any G-Class creatures, even G1.
They can throw their armies at them all they want but it would be akin to sending a cow to the slaughterhouse.
Black Eyed Demons and Mortal Angels are your standard G1 creatures.

30000-50000

G-Class

Grade 2

G2 creatures are a threat to small civilizations, such as a small country.
Red Eyed Demons, Angels, and Tokyo Ghouls are prime examples of G2 creatures.

75000-100k

G-Class

Grade 3

At this level lone G3 creatures are capable of cleansing a large civilization of all human life
They are of dire threat towards humanity, and so humanity must pray that any creature rated this high (let alone higher) never attacks.
Yellow Eyed Demons and Seraphs are the best examples of G3 creatures.

125K-175K

G-Class

Grade 4

Creatures at this level are a threat to all human life across entire continents.
S Class Vampires and S Class werewolves are both G4, largely in part thanks to their speed and the fact that this scale is based on threats posed to humanity.

225K-375K

G-Class

Grade 5

A threat to all human life within a given Sector, even escape is a near impossibility for humans. But escape is all they can hope for.
They are capable of wiping out entire countries in an instant
Violet Eyed Demons and Archangels are both G5, among other creatures.

450K-625K

G-Class

Grade 6

A vast range indeed, G6 creatures are extremely varied in both raw power and overall threat level alike.
That aside they are all capable of wiping out an entire Sector of all life on a whim.
White Eyed Demons, Paradise Archangels, Demigods, and Pacific Kaiju are at this level.

750K-1M

G-Class

Grade 7

Toho Kaiju are the only listed example of G7 creatures thus far.

10M-100M

S-Class

Grade 1

The jump in threat, not to mention power, from G7 to even S1 is incredible...as you can tell by the massive jump in numbers.
S1 creatures can shrug off nuclear weapons as well as dish out the power of one, with plenty of interest.
High G-Class can cleanse Sectors of life, low S-Class can cleanse Sectors themselves...the gap between the two is vast.
Colossi, Krakens, Minor Gods, Greater Kaiju, and Daikaiju are all S1.

250M-600M

S-Class

Grade 2

Major Gods, Leviathans, and Greater Daikaiju are S2 examples.

1.2 billion-2.5 billion

S-Class

Grade 3

The basest of S3's are capable of wiping out groups of Sectors in one fell swoop, not to mention the higher rated ones.
Immeasurably powerful by human standards, they are among the greatest threats that most humans would ever possibly face.
Examples of S3 creatures are Titan Gods, Lesser Ancient Kaiju, and Juvenile True Dragons.

S-Class

Grade 4

No longer bound by even the laws of reality itself, S4 creatures can bend even space and reality themselves to their will.
There is no giving a numerical value for something like that....no matter how hard you try, you just can't.
Greater Ancient Kaiju, Adult True Dragons, and Imperials Dragons are all S4.

∞³

S-Class

Grade 5

Zenith True Dragons are the only current example of S5 creatures.

S-Class

Grade 6

Even among S-Class, a level of power that can grow to a level where even reality itself bends to their power...S6 is considered power beyond power.
The only beings capable of threatening the entirety of Immensus itself, even other S6 beings don't touch an S6 creature.
Primal Dragons, Great Wyrm Ancient Dragons, and the Four Kings of TGC themselves are all S6 creatures.
