History
Voyager Express was founded by a local Couple Lisa Mai’ku and Joseph Mai’ku in 1987 after the Couple purchased an old communist era hotel called the Cikpo International Hotel in Seaton Huain, Wangano. The Chikpo International Hotel was originally built in the 1960s to be a state of the art hotel for Foreign Tourists Visiting Seaton Huain and was owned by the Communist Government at the time. The Chikpo International Hotel however was raided during the Wanganoan Civil War and After the Communist Government Fell in 1982 the Hotel was sat unused and Abandoned. In 1986 an Architect and Interior Designer by the name of Joseph Mai’ku said that he was interested in reopening the hotel and rebuilding the entire hotel. After he faced public Skepticism as it was going to be Very Expensive to rebuild the hotel due to the damage it sustained during the Wanganoan Civil War. However the Leeu’watso government was also Very Interested in Rebuilding the hotel and helped Fund the Rebuilding the hotel.
