Starlight Brigade: N-Day September 2026

Another N-Day, another podium finish!

This year we were joined by some friends: Ear Exploder 9000, East Chimore and Dreyland, enabling us to field the largest Brigade ever.

It was an excellent N-Day, with excitement right until the end. We started out with an alliance with our old friends in Anime and Canopy, as well as our allies from last time around, CORAL. Opposing this coalition were our traditional enemies of recent times: SPEAR and HoTA .

Initially, it was all looking very good! Us and our coalition partners slammed HoTA and SPEAR with an early attack, pulling ourselves into the lead. In fact, with our very first volley, we gave SPEAR the only damage they would experience all event! (This was mostly because they were irrelevant than any skill on their part).

The entire coalition then began a regular strike cadence against HoTA for essentially the rest of the event (you can see it on the activity graph below!). For many hours, it seemed like we would remain at that impasse indefinitely. Unfortunately, it was not to be. First, CORAL's economy proved to be unable to cope with the HoTA barrages long term, and they dropped off the scoreboard, putting us into 2nd and Anime into 1st. HoTA then switched their focus to Anime, who also were ground down over a few hours despite a heroic shielding effort. This put us into 1st, which was exciting, but it was clear that it would not last long. I'm told that some of our enemies were concerned we might consolidate our lead, but I have to admit that the possibility barely crossed my mind. As soon as HoTA switched their attention to us, we crumbled under the focus of the largest faction in the game. As you can see from the activity graph, we managed to shield about half of their first two volleys, after which our reserves were spent and our economy broken.

Not to be dissuaded, we kept up our return fire, but by this point the outcome was near guaranteed, and our puppetmasters got some sleep. When I woke up, I began preparing a large strike on HoTA with my accumulated resources, but to my dismay HoTA immediately noticed my reawakening and began a rolling attack for the last two hours! Nevertheless, I got some strikes in, and incredibly we actually ended the event having done more strikes than Anime and CORAL!

Overall, despite our coalition losing the war, we secured a well-earned third place.

Shout out to Melenavenia and East Chimore for their periods in command, to Purple gold for coordinating the RMB, and to every WA nation, we couldn't do it without you!
