General Assembly Compliance

🌟 To be able to vote in the WA, you must adopt and comply with at least 80% of all GA resolutions.
🌟 Once you adopt a resolution, its statistical effects will be applied to your nation, like issues.
🌟 Read every resolution carefully and avoid adopting ones that may negatively affect stats which you are grinding for.
🌟 Your endorsements will not be affected even if you are complying with less than 80% of GA resolutions.
What is Adoption/Compliance?
Following the GA reset on July 2nd, 2026, the Adoption/Compliance feature is introduced to all WA nations on NationStates. Instead of resolutions going into effect immediately across all member-nations upon passing under the old system, the latter will now be given a choice whether to adopt a ratified resolution or not. All WA nations are required to adopt at least 80% of GA resolutions to retain their ability to vote.
How do I adopt a resolution?
Go to the GA Compliance page and pick a resolution to adopt. You may also click the compliance counter (the little green bar indicating the percentage of resolutions you have adopted) on your nation page to open the Compliance window.

Look for this bar on your nation page. It's next to your WA member bar and below the rows of nation stats badges.

Once you click the bar, it will open this page, where it displays your compliance percentage and the list of resolutions to adopt.
How will GA resolutions affect my nation once adopted?
Each resolution will have unique statistical effects, decided by the Issues Editors team before it goes to vote. The affected stats and strength of effect are determined based on a resolution's contents, and a World Census analysis will be displayed below every proposal while in queue. For example, here is a screenshot of the World Census Analysis on the proposal "Daybreak". Note that individual results for each nation may vary.

Resolutions may also impose or cancel national policies, similar to issues. For instance, a resolution to outlaw slavery will likely cancel the Slavery policy if your WA nation has it.
How do I know which resolution to adopt?
Read all resolutions carefully and pay attention to the World Census Analysis! As an example, if you are developing your nation's industries, you should closely examine whether environmental protection resolutions would negatively impact them by reading the contents and statistical projections provided by the WCA.
Will my endorsements be affected if I'm non-compliant?
No, your endorsements will not be affected even if you are non-compliant. You will only lose your voting rights, though we recommend complying with at least 80% of the resolutions if you want to keep your vote.
