Government of Concord

Concord, as a central part of the community of The League and Concord, is governed according to the Constitution of the Republic. The government of Concord therefore consists of two main institutions, the Consulate of the Republic and the Council of the Republic.

In short, the Consulate of the Republic serves as the government's executive authority. It consists of three Consuls of the Republic who are equal in authority but organized by one who is designated the Chief Consul. All regional institutions, such as The League's Defense Forces and the executive Departments, derive their authority from the Consulate. The Consulate can additionally create and remove regional institutions, though the latter requires approval of the Council of the Republic.

The Council of the Republic acts as the legislative chamber of The League & Concord. It is a political-based institution that passes Linklaws relating to the region's wellbeing and functioning. Additionally, the Council acts as an advisory body to the Consulate. Any citizen (whether sitting on the Council or not) may submit a vote or petition to the Council for a vote.
